I am glad that you finally found plenty of Yellow-billed Ox-peckers. I have a photo of both Red-billed Ox-peckers and Yellow-billed Ox-peckers on a buffalo near Shingwedzi. I am enjoying your videos.

Hi. Geniet jul vids.

Well done 👍 your videos are great and adding the bird names is king for me. I really like that closeup of the buffalo’s head. On another note, that’s a serious glass of Amarula😂

Thank you Fergus! We absolutely love birding and really enjoy sharing our knowledge (even though we have A LOT to learn still 😂).
We might go a bit overboard with the Amarula when we are in the Bush 😂🙈 we deprive ourselves of Amarula through the year and only drink it when we are in the bush (it just tastes better in the bush 😉) so we might drink a little too much of it then 🙈.

I also love the Mphongola loop. You certainly had some wonderful bird sightings. Excellent photos. I also found your little chat about the braai very interesting. I suppose it is perfect for non-South African tourists who sometimes need a bit of help.

Thank you Wendy! Mphongola is stunning and the birdlife is booming! Would love to stay at Shingwedzi a bit long to see it early early morning 🤩 The braai box was pretty effective 🙌🏼 you don’t get that atmosphere that a wood fire gives, but if you want a quick fire it is a good option 🙏🏼

Well done you two! Beautifully done and your enthusiasm is infectious!
I apologize if you've already mentioned it before, can you please tell me what photography equipment you are using? In particular what lenses do you use? Which one lens would you most recommended for wildlife photography?

No problem our gear is all linked in our description. But I (Stacy) use a Canon 6D mk II and it maily has a Canon 24-105mm f4 L (this we use for vlogging, scenery and our coffee shots 😉). Rikus has a Canon 90D with a Sigma 150-600mm F5.6-6.3 C (this we use for all the wildlife and bird shots) then we also have a Canon 70-200mm f4 L that we always keep close by if the animals are very close ☺️
For wildlife photography I would definitely recommend a zoom lens of some sort.
We have been to the Kruger with a 70-200mm and a 18-400mm and they all served us very well. However we really love our setup at the moment 🙏🏼
