Another cool video. I know how much you like camping, etc. so you should check out Cooks Forest State Park in N/W Pennsylvania then ride over to Penns Cave in the middle of the state. It would be a great weekend trip for you. Also, lots of history around Franklin, PA and one of the prettiest towns and old court house you'll ever see.

We been living here on Amelia Island and Fernandina for the last 20 years and love it here! Glad you got to travel up this way and enjoy Fort Clinch. Suggestion, next time your heading up here ride up A1A thru Talbots Island State Park along the ocean onto the south end of Amelia Island. Gorgeous ride!
I love old places like this fort. You should visit Fort Sumter and the Atalaya Castle in SC as well as Brook Green Gardens. Then another day hit Biltmore Estates in Asheville, NC!
My mother stays in that campground when she comes down to visit me. The fort is a great place to visit and the views over the inlet are incredible. If they didn't tell you, there are lots of snakes and alligators in the park. When the reinactors are there giving tours, you learn a lot about how life was lived. The fort was never finished hence the foundations with nothing on them. The supply room has lots of foods and supplies used by troops.
Armadillo’s are like Raccoons with armor. The fort was awesome and of course ShadeTree never fails to make the video hilarious by forgetting to unplug the RV when leaving. 😂😂
Up to 20% of armadillos have the virus that causes Hansen's Disease or Leprosy, and they are near blind. They're cute little clowns, but give them some room.
It's not a "courtyard", that is what is called a "parade ground". It is where the troops, and prisoners, would be assembled in formation, marched, and paraded in front of the commanding officer.
Great video, the possum in the half shell/armadillo was cute. And loved your enthusiasm on exploring the fort. It was a beautiful campground. I may stop there next time I go to Florida. Seeing places that you go helps me to pick out places that I would like to see in my travels. A place down there that I camped at was the Highland Park fish camp near Delano. My wife and I canoed and fished the canals and StJohns river and visiting Hontoon State park.
Fernandina Beach is a great place! Still a touch of old Florida up there and......some amazingly good Seafood Restaurants up there. Glad you are still exploring Florida. On your way back head down hwy 19 and either stop in Palatka at Corky Bells on the St. Johns River for seafood or head farther South to Welaka on hwy 17 and try Shrimp R Us on Lake George....bit farther to Crescent City and 3 Bananas restaurant on Lake Crescent. All this stuff is right on your way to and From the Jacksonville area back to the Orlando area. Keep smiling!

Future camping suggestion. Katherine Abbey Hanna park in Jacksonville Fl. You get the beach experience and lake camping in one spot. It is located just outside the main gate for Mayport navel station.

go check out new smyrna beach dunes park. definitely worth it. next time you go to the tampa area go check out Ft DeSoto in St Pete. beyond beautiful. go into downtown Sanford and ride around that huge lake.

Enjoying your videos. In the mid nineties I went to college at Florida State. Loved the weather down there. One unforgettable experience I had was visiting Wakulla Springs. Went on a boat ride there. So beautiful. You should check it out if you get the chance.

You're braver than I am. I lived in Florida for 10 years & not once went camping. There's panthers, bobcats, wild boars & alligators if you're near a lake which I saw you were. Yeah umm no. Now here in Northeast Ohio? I love camping.
