    Good work mate, I remember those Mondeos well spent 10 years working on the mk1 and 2s, Ford's slave units don't get any better plastic crap, I remember my own mrk 2 being just as bad, so surprised none of those subframe bolts didn't continually spin the nut in the frame it's always the ones on the floor pan that spin, a real pain as we had to open the floor pan up and weld the nut back in place.

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very true about the captive nuts spinning in the boxed up chassis...,, whoever came up with that design 😆.., they only way I get around that is I use a ton of WD40 constantly before I attempt to crack them..,, I’ve seen many mechanic having to cut the floor pan to access it. Or even slicing the box chassis to get a spanner on it.
      Thanks for the review ..,, really appreciate the feedback.

      Wayne only if you’re fully removing all 4 corner bolts.

      @@WMCS I have an issue with an 08 s max 5 speed where I bought it knowing it needed a new flywheel so what I did was I actually went second hand as the cost was attractive and I also got the clutch kit from the breakers also for 80 euro instead of 400 euro
      I installed the mondeo 1.8 flywheel and clutch from the breakers and left the original throw out bearing in and when I went to bleed the clutch fluid started pouring from the gearbox ( brake fluid ). I opened the gearbox and the original throw out bearing was smashed to pieces So I put a new throw out bearing in ( Sachs ) I also took the second hand clutch kit out and put the original clutch kit in ( previous owner had new clutch in about 5 months before I bought it ) I buttoned everything up and went to bleed again and the same thing happened brake fluid started pouring from the gearbox ( but this is with a brand new throw out bearing ) does the issue lie in the fact I used a second hand flywheel and clutch kit ?
