- I KNOW IT'S JUST A BOOK; THIS VIDEO IS FOR FUN, NO HATE. In honor of the fallen tributes of the 74th Annual Hunger Games! Lists each tribute, their age, their district, place, and cause of death. Know that most of the information I got from HungerGamesWiki and that most deaths are from the book, but the lesser tribute parts are elaborated on thanks to the film. Enjoy and be thankful we don't live in a world like Panem! I do not own pictures. All rights to songs go to Jason Walker and Daniel Cage. I do not own any pictures.
Thresh was killed by cato out of vengeance for clove

Gracie’s Activities He we’re killed by mutts in the movie but Cato in the books.
In the movies, the mutts killed him during the finale. In the books, Cato killed him to avenge Clove and to get his bag which Thresh stole during the feast.
Adam Morehouse no, if you’ve read the books you’d know that he died on like the 12th day after a fight with Cato. I just finished he first book two days ago! Re-read the books!!!
If i had to choose one of these deaths it would be foxfaces cos hers was peaceful

No, it was painful, because her stomach parts exploded, then she died.
Well not tecnacly peaceful. When you eat poisonous berries it takes a few days before you die and those days are extremely painful. So her death wasnt very peacful

No, it was Thresh. Imagine Thresh's death. Running, screaming, dying. Or being silently stabbed, and cursing your killer's name as you die.

Makes sense. Cato was nearly depressed when Thresh killed CLove, his partner, and I think in the book they said he went in Thresh's general dirrection. Not 100% sure on that. But, since they're both the same age, It makes sense Cato was able to overcome Thresh eventually.
The line I remember most from the first book was: “What If he had a girlfriend back home thinking he would be back, what about his family weeping about his death and hating me for killing him?” that was after Katniss killed marvel

I think that there's some sort of rivalry between District 2 and District 11. It's just a theory, but Thresh killed Clove and then Cato killed Thresh. Then, in Catching Fire, Brutus kills both of District 11's victors, Chaff and Seeder. It seems the same with 12 and 1, since Katniss killed Glimmer, Marvel, and Gloss. Back to 11 and 2, on The Hunger Games wiki, it says the male tribute from 2 won the 73rd games. Maybe Thresh killed Clove, as he might of had a brother that was killed by the victor, maybe somehow related to Clove or Cato. If it was Cato, maybe he knew that he couldn't kill Cato, so killed Clove to mess with his emotions. Again, just an opinion. What do you think?

My theory is that Marvel (career) killed Rue. Thresh loved her like a sibling. Thresh killed Clove (a career that teamed with marvel and other careers) . Cato loved clove so he decided to avenge her by killing Thresh. BUt nice theory
Thresh killed Clove because marvel killed rue who was from his district and Cato went to kill thresh as revenge for killing clove
Not sure how there's theories about this... Thresh killed clove because clove was boasting about killing rue to katniss and thresh heard that, clove said she didn't do it but not that it would've changed anything, it's still a game about killing he would've killed her either way.

No one placed second. Two first places take out a 'second place' option, so after first place it goes straight to third, which would be Cato.
If I were you, and I hadn't read the books, I probably would think twice before commenting. The title of this video clearly states, 'book version', and unfortunately so, the book and movie are very different. Characters died in different ways. According to the BOOK, which this video (second time stated) is based off of, Thresh was killed by another tribute, most likely Cato in revenge for killing Clove. Thanks :)

It was mentioned once or twice in the book. He's one of the unnamed tributes that stands out to Katniss due to his cripple.

Yeah I was wondering about that. In the training session they show her acing all the plants, so why would she 'accidentally' eat poison berries? I think she knew she couldn't win the Games, but she knew Katniss could. I also believe her and Katniss had some kind of unspoken respect for each other, the both of them being so clever.

Because there were two firsts place, there wasn't a 'second'. Second place (Cato) technically went to third because he's the third finisher. The first song is Help Me by Daniel Cage and the second is Echo by Jason Walker (:

I remember reading the book and in the first night ; the career pack and peeta saw katniss on the tree not being able to escape. Glimmer only shot one arrow and they gave up and fell asleep? I'm sorry but why'd they do that? Were they that confident that she couldn't sneak up on them ? Why didn't they just try to kill her or burn the tree... Sorry just makes me think

The only mistakes you made were some of the ages. Glimmer, Cato, and Thresh were all 16 years old. And although the ages of the District 6 tributes and the boys from District 8 and 10 were never given, they would have been either 16 or younger. It says in the book the oldest tributes that year were 16, those would be Glimmer, Cato, Thresh, Katniss, and Peeta, along with some of the tributes who's ages were never given.

It's because the careers are meant to be STRONG districts, and yes, it KINDA matters if you're a career, but what also matters is, for example, Sebastian was only 12 years old, so he was too young, and it was also because he got a really really low survival score. A 4/10. So the careers thought he was useless, so they decided to kill him because he was too young and weak.
