The Vervet Forest is a wildlife rehab series focused on Vervet Monkeys at the Vervet Monkey Foundation . The series showcases the process of taking orphaned and injured vervet monkeys through a foster mother program which helps these rescued orphan baby monkeys to be adopted by foster mother monkeys. The show is for fans of animal planet, nat geo, discovery and anyone who is an animal lover, loves animals and would like to be part of helping them get back to the wild.

I really have been enjoying the variety of clips in these videos. While everyone loves the babies, it's nice to see more of what goes on at the sanctuary, babies and adults.

Long time fan here. I love the newest videos and extend my well wishes to you all! Just wanted to chime in with some feedback- in my opinion the natural sounds of the animals and background are much, much preferred over any kind of added music. I like to relax and observe these wonderful critters as they are and find the music off putting, so I hope you’ll reconsider. :)
Whothecapderp You know, they have a point. The sounds of nature and animals in nature are soothing. It WOULD be nice to hear more of them.
Thank you, when I have natural sounds I try and keep it unfortunatly lately there is more of a loud hiss that does not sound very pleasant and in some cases they where cutting grass with a brushcutter, monkeys dont realy make any sounds unless they fighting - the areas that we currently filming are not condusive to nature sounds

I just donated $20usd and I'm so happy about it! Been binge watching this channel since quarantine started for us here in the US and I appreciate the effort taken to get these animals back into the life they were meant to live. Now I have to get my family to agree to cut off hulu or netflix so I can send that money to VMF monthly instead of the service we barely use. This is much more entertaining and fulfilling! :)

Mikey O’Donnell mango is a samango monkey thats where they got his name mango fromhe is a different kjnd of monkey they have 3 of them at the vmf cuz there is no where else for them to go sadley

Unfortunately vervets are not illegal to keep as pets in the States (some states- just to be specific). As well-meaning as their Owners are, I wish we would outlaw them as well. Watching your series has really really educated me on so much. Thank you again for all that you do- and for including us in your journey and hard work.
I love your videos and the commentary, however, because of the loud music it’s difficult to understand what they’re saying. Maybe you could add subtitles during the music? The sounds of nature and the monkeys playing in your videos are preferable to the annoying loud music though.
the monkeys make no noise while playing and the sounds of nature are a constant hiss, so the music is preferable, I could look for jungle sounds if you like
I don't know why but I feel connected to these beautiful monkeys. I think I relate to their former lives and the trauma you have rescued them from. The love you show these guys every day goes beyond what words could describe. I love your program here from start to finding a foster mom for them. Your aim is to let them be who they are and live a safe environment. Makes me want to be a monkey! Which is a better way to support your Foundation? Dennis Moore From what I gather, Vervets are particularly maternal making their species excellent at fostering. Simply have lots of mothering instinct. Physiologically it seems they may have more bonding hormone than some other species, but I haven’t seen any research since beginning to watch these videos. Isn’t it wonderful to watch the babies being accepted and loved so much!

Regarding the comment about the music, how about music as transitioning vs throughout the vid?
its always difficult, as most times there is this constant hiss which does not sound very pleasant and you dont really here any natural sounds that are worth listening to, so I feel the music is beter than a hiss, I can cur and past and mp3 file of the hissing sound that people can play in the background if they like
Have you thought about calling America farmers with our resterraunts being closed so much veg and fruit getsplowed back into the ground it would have to be shipped but it could be away to get food for a better price and more of it
unfortunatly it would just not be practical, even if donated transport in refridgerated conatiners is very expensive
Also shamefully, there's lots of laws preventing many places from donating unused food in the US
I'm really upset I've been tracking this and trying to find out how Gimli is doing through so many episodes and it's taking forever for you to show his face and I know why you want to string us along and it just irritates the crap out of me so goodbye guys I don't need to be manipulated like this you guys love to string us along what these heartbreaking stories and deliberately hold back from us what's wrong with you guys be straightforward let us know what's going on you'll get much more money from donations that way but if you play games and forces to watch trying to find the damage monkey of the month then I'm not going to play along
the video's are roughly 3 weeks behind reality as ity takes time to compile everything, its shown as it progresses, we have no reason to hold back anything, if you want to be more upto date follow our instagram and facebook accounts - we not going to rush things or put events infront of others because some people are more drawn to them, as it unfolds you will see it.
