    • @erinjones4494
      @erinjones4494 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Hana Song but most don’t contain any sunscreen at all and what darkens the skin isn’t ‘brown makeup’ or a pigment, it’s a chemical that reacts with dead skin cells. Furthermore, there are sometimes other chemicals in it, like scents/fragrances etc. that can cause reactions with a child’s ‘delicate’ skin.
      Sure, most of the time it seems harmless, but there isn’t much research into it and this isn’t a one off, most of these kids are spray tanning for every pageant and some are in a new pageant every week.
      And what about their lungs? I’m sure that breathing in spray tanner on a regular basis would have some sort of effect, considering a lot of parents do it at home and may not take the appropriate precautions. And even if they do, the kids are crying and screaming through a lot of it, so it’s not like they’re keep their mouth closed to avoid breathing it in.

      travie xd agreed, this woman has spammed the comment section with her useless opinion of how she thinks pageants aren’t abuse. If this isn’t abuse, I don’t know what is. This would never happen in Sweden where I live, we don’t have fucked up competitions like this and these parents would all have their children taken by social services.

      Quite possibly true ...
      But that means because they have an investment, either financially, mentally, and emotionally, to keep this circus going, that attitude of "I did it, but it didn't harm me", all the while showing signs that something emotionally, mentally, and psychologically did happen, in the form of personality disorders, means that they have either compartmentalised, ignored, or try to desperately pretend, that what happened to them, didn't happen, but all that stress and anxiety, built up over many years, may come out in any number of ways, in a form of a personality disorder, and especially not least an ED, whether in the form of an addiction, or denial, of food ...
      In other words, the very people either hosting, conducting, or judging, these pageants, including the patients whom are forcing their children to participate, in them, are just perpetuating the cyclical nature of it all ...
      ... including the very deep consequences ...

Im a doctor for kids, and children that age dont have that delecate of skin to where they cant handle spray tan, spray tan is kinda just like sunscreen with brown make up in it lol, thats why it washes away so easy. When a child is that young they don't really know what they are doing, atleast when a kid is in football they are old enough to know what it is and whether or not they want to do it, and it "hurts me to hear her cry but it needs to be done" I would say making a kid that young get a fake tan should be considered child abuse

Kids learn how to work as a team, cooperate with others, they are being active, and they are able to build social skills with their teammates. Pageants don’t offer any of this and it is very damaging to make a young kid think that their worth/success lies in their beauty 🤷🏼‍♀️
