@@salceds There was smooth animation, but they skimped out on it - at first they show still frames of the girls and then they add a dramatic zoom with a turn and the dance choreography is just them clapping. That's what I meant by poor animation. It's easy to make smooth inbetweening if the animation is not as dynamic (also they started doing Flash animation, which makes the inbetweens for them). The older transformation animations were less fluid, but they had more dynamic angles. Honestly, Enchantix and Believix beat Butterflix by a mile in animation quality.
@@salceds Um, I'm an animator. The sequence and storyboarding are integral parts of the animation process. Having the animation be smooth doesn't equate to having good animation, since like I said, smoothening happens via software nowadays. Good animation is characterized by convincing flow and cool dynamics. And in butterflix, they had none of that. In a lot of studios they break up the automatic tweenings in order to make the animation less smooth and more organic.
literally my first reaction when i saw the butterflix transformation, "wow, i waited for this?" im not even going to bother trying to be nice! the fact that enchantix and believix in season 4 which were hand-DRAWN have better sequence, an actual unique sequences, have consistent energy is freaking sad! sirenix and bloomix tho made with flash and have them flail around still have good consistent energy and not try to make up for a pathetic sequence with a half-assed dance break and theres animators who literally did fanmade cosmix transformation with the old artstyle for free can do a better job than a studio who paid animators is rlly saying smthng
I really love Tynix's music, like it's the most relaxing. And when I was younger, when I first saw Butterflix I really loved it, but now it seems kind of boring, because all of their movements were the same and they were dancing WAY too much and it was just repeating the movements. The outfits dont look TOO bad, but they're not that good either, but the wings are really nice.Whoever's reading this, please don't attack me, this is just my opinion. And season 8.... no. Just no. I hate how they designed the winx, they looked like 11 year olds with fairy costumes. I havent watched season 8 and I dont want to. Just when I saw the design I was disgusted. Yeah I'm an OG fan of Winx and I had the same reaction. Tynix was really beautiful but the transformation scenes needed work. And Butterflix just wasn't my style at all. I didn't really like the design (but Musa looked great). And the transformation sequence was really plain for my tastes. But that's just my opinion.

Ok but what's sad is how poorly handled Season 7 was which is such a waste. Butterflix has some of the most DETAILED spell effects, too bad the transformation doesn't live up to the spells. Season 7 also had some of the best fight scenes where the Winx actually look like they're fighting instead of just sitting still and using spells.
Ok, maybe the dance is childish but I still love it. I really love winx and every transformation except that some are too short for my liking. So, I rate winx 99 percent.
Idk why but Butterflix feels like something we’ve already seen on winx, Idk it just seemed really plain and it wasn’t really special. In Tynix I loved some aspects of the outfits, even though I wish thet didn’t make Flora’s hair blonde lol. The sequences weren’t really anything special like I said but it is beautiful to look if that makes sense. 😂 And the way they didn’t let Tecna and Aisha shine like the others in tynix...
The Butterflix sequence was about the same length as Believix, except the transformations for Butterflix are less than a half of the entire thing and the rest is just the dance. The only reason that Believix was 3 minutes was because of the transformations themselves were super long, so Butterflix has no excuse for making its own sequence consisting of a 1 minute transformation sequence and then, prolonged by a dance. The dance itself would be nothing but generic filler.

Tbh this butterflix transformation looks like it's a big inspiration of an already fan made version. They only get close to the screen, and spin to the side to get their wings. This is the most non exciting and weirdest one. The outfits and wings are nice, but not unique. Also, that little dance they was doing like it's for kindergartners kinda. Idk.. lol. I can see the disappointment with what they done to them after Tynix and so on.
