Musa's story is very sad. her mother was a musician, she passed away during a show and it was traumatizing for her and her father, he destroyed her instruments because of grief and he never wanted Musa to practice music like her mother, but music is something very important to her because it connects her with her mother. There was even an episode where she found her spirit again and had a chance to stay with her and abandon the mission, but she chose the mission because it was very important but she had the chance to see her mother for one last time. It's one of the saddest stories on the show...
small correction: she didn't pass away during a show, she got sick and since they didn't really make much money with their music the family couldn't afford her treatment and she died. That's why the dad was so against Musa pursuing a music carrier, he didn't want her to end up the the same poor situation.
What I love about winx club is that, yes it is a a kids show, but truly looking back at it, it has so many adult elements (for example character death, grooming, divorce of parents, arranged marriages, anxiety, feeling of loneliness, trouble of expressing feelings etc) that makes the show all the better. Winx Club was so important to me as a kid, it was the first time I saw a character designed to be Latina be a super sweet, kind, soft, and caring character instead of the feisty/crazy stereotype. I wanted to BE Flora growing up and this show helped create my self confidence and told me that I could be kind and strong, I felt so represented 🥰

In Musa's song, yes, her mother is dead. Winx Club had some extremely dark themes in it. They didn't shy away from themes like death and abuse. And they were all handled really maturely, too.
The first song you've listened to is NOT the original intro of the show. Its a song created by the people who made the english dub. This is an italian show and the actual intro isn't just in italian, but a completely different song. The people who made the german dub also made an intro song for this show in german, which again is a completely different song than the other ones. Would be kinda cool if you'd react to them as well 😊

when it comes to Winx music there is one person who has to be mentioned: ELISA ROSSELLI She's a singer-songwriter from Italy and she has written most of the winx songs and sang them in Italian and English. She is one of the best things that could happen to this franchise. Early on the creators realized they had a diamond w her on board and enlisted her to make a whole album: WINX IN CONCERT. Really recommend listening to that, as it captures many topics of the show and the music style is quite diverse! Bless this woman, she is so sweet, to this day she interacts with fans daily and performs the winx songs around.
Your connection to Musa's song was spot-on and so lovely to see. The loss of her mom is something I'm glad they make a point of not forgetting and letting her express her feelings about. If you plan on doing more Winx music reactions I highly suggest listening to the soundtracks for the movies Secret of the Lost Kingdom and Magical Adventure because I feel they embody a lot of the magic and energy of the franchise really well and have some of my favorite tracks!

To me, Winx club is kind of teen/adult show more than a kids show ,i mean it covers topics like adoptive parents, divorce, toxic relationships ,self esteem, love triangle, betrayal, death,arranged marriages,fighting for the throne , dark villains and a lot of heavy topics that kids may not able to produce... however, i'm happy i watched such an iconic show that covers a serious storyline w aesthetic visuals instead of other lame kids show .
winx club definitely had an effect on young girls or guys watching it growing up and it was amazing too see representation in the show in 2004, with musa being asian, aisha being black and flora being latina and not just with these things they had other subjects that shows weren’t addressing at the time like stella’s parents being divorced, musa losing her mother, bloom being adopted. I would definitely recommend reacting to the series because it’s SO good, if you want to react to more songs before that i definitely recommend way of believex and you may really the vocalist of that song, as well as other theme songs like the RAI english dub or the nickelodeon ones.

The reason why this big world feel so emotional and like someone put her soul into it is because the singer at the time she was writting the song had to deal with the loss of her father. So she was actually feeling the same emotions as the character while writing and recording. She even said she had to stop and cried a few times while singing it.

Winx was really something special, it's what started me on my artistic journey, it's fandom was my first online community and it's taught me lessons I still refer to today. Those girls will always hold a place in my heart. I hope you'll continue to react to more songs from them.
the obsession with the wink club my younger self had was intense. I still love it to this day but it influenced younger me. there are different theme songs after the first couple of seasons. but the outfits especially the later seasons especially when they started having outfit change instead of the same ones but its one of the reasons I loved the show as well as the songs🥰🥰🥰 P.S. Kiko the animal at the end is a bunny, he is Bloom the one with red hair's pet and he is really funny.
It's not well know outside of Germany and a handful of other countries but Germany got a unique intro for season 1 and 2 (Heller als Licht) and it's just SO good. Back in the 2000s some children's cartoons got their own intros here, for whatever reason, but every time they slapt!

In my opinion, Winx Club has one of the best theme intros of all time ever sense I had watched it as a kid cause it was that catchy, the first intro really took the focus of bloom on her life becoming a fairy while it also shows each fairies own perspective momentum of magic to what kind of fairies they are in their persona.

So a bit of context for that third song. Musa's mother died when she was very young and her father was so heartbroken that he couldn't bear to ever hear music again to the point where he destroyed his instruments and as Fairies of Music that's essentially denying the entire core of who you are. It took many years and seasons for them to reconcile with each other and it was always so heartbreaking whenever they made or loss progress with overcoming their grief because overcoming trauma isn't a straight line and slipping backwards can happen.
The episode that that "big world" song is from is one of my all time favorites from Winx. Both as a child and adult. It's so tender and heartbreaking and cathartic. What a legend.
As already mentioned, it would be great to listen to the songs from the first movies, and also to learn even more about Musa (the girl who performs these sad tracks) I highly recommend "Winx Club - Heart Of Stone"

The Winx in Concert album made me who I am today 😆 To be honest, my childhood was pretty bad and the Winx played a big role in keeping me from slipping into depression during that time. And now, as an adult, when I feel bad, I often return to songs or TV series, living wonderful moments with my fairies✨

Winx club has a lot of songs that pull at your heart. It may have been a kids show but it tackled a bunch of topics you normally wouldn't see in a kid's show. Winx really does go deep in the earlier seasons pre seasons 6-8. Honestly the music was one of the things that made it so memorable in the first place. Elisa Rosselli was the primary singer for most of the score back in the old days. She is an Italian singer who did a lot of the Winx Club songs. She did This big world, the Chiwanbo song, Heart of stone, some of the transformation songs, and so many wonderful tracks that still hold a place in my heart to this day. I grew up on the 4kids dub of Winx but I later found the Rai english dub which I prefer over the Nickoloden dub. Elisa doesn't get enough praise for the work she did on Winx club and for making not only my childhood, but everyone in the Winx fandom's childhood better with her talented singing. Winx club in general is really special to me and it will be something I will continue to look back on fondly.

@@ChaoticallyCosmic No Rai's the original Rainbow-Italien Dub translated into different languages. 4Kids is the censored version especially made for UK cause they wanted to smooth some of the harder plot lines out (e.g. a lot of the drama is softened in 4kids and it kinda takes away from character depth). The opening he listened to is also the 4kids opening exceptionally used in the UK. Rest of the world knows "under the sign of winx" as the official winx opening with exception for Germany (We had our own special song called "Heller als Winx" in Season 1 - which is quite frankly an amazing song, check it out if you've never listened to it - and switched to 'under the sign of winx' in season 2 and 3).

The theme song you heard was the song from season two on. Season one had a different theme song "Under the sign of the Winx" (in Germany > "Heller als Licht"), which I liked much better than the later one. Besides the "belive in you" theme of the series, it was special because of the fashion. The girls had several outfits and they changed them often, not like in other cartoons.
They have a couple of different dubs in English. Some of the songs in this video was the 4Kids dub. It’s nothing like the Italian or any other language. Totally different music and script. It makes my ears cry of disappointment.

They fight the villains who wants to control the Magic Dimension, like any fairy 😂 Basically there are three school in the Magic Universe, the first one if Alfea, the fairy school where the Winx go/went (they're kinda still in there even though it's been years since they graduated xD) ; there's Red Fountain, the school where their boyfriends go and where they learn how to fight to protect the universe. Then the third one is Cloud Tower where the witches go. The witches aren't necessarily bad, they aren't formed to be evil, but the Trix, the main antagonists are from this school and are just bad. Now about every Winx: Bloom - Fairy of the Dragon Fire. Grew up on Earth, discovered her power when she was sixteen, went to Alfea, met her friends and discovered who her biological family is and what happened to them. Long story short: her planet was sort of destroyed but with her friend they saved everything and everyone (in the first movie which is in 3d). Stella - Fairy of the Sun and Moon. Princess of Solaria, her parents divorced and she still wishes for them to be together. Flora - Fairy of the Nature. She's from Lymphea where she lived with her parents and her little sister. Musa - Fairy of Music. She grew up on Melody with her parents, close to the water where she could hear the whales. Her mom died, and contrary to Bloom's family she never came back because she's just dead. Tecna - Fairy of Technology. Just a nerd from Zenith, there's nothing particular to her, she's very rational but she evolves nicely through the seasons. Layla - Fairy of the Fluids (Water). She's the princess of Andros, a planet which has the particularity of having a royal family for the earth and one for the ocean. She comes from the earth, but her cousins are sirens and tritons from the royal family of the ocean. The season 5 is centered around her planet and her family. Hope that can help you understand more!

Hey so I'd recommend listening/watching all the winx club season opening and closing theme songs. Although keep in mind that the first 3 season were done by multiple studios so there are a few differing versions to those. Also there are a ton more of winx songs hope you enjoy cause i loved this show growing up 🥺.
tbh I would be nice to have you listen to the original italian versions and see what you think of them,maybe compared to the english versions. Fun fact: the original singer also dubbed herself in the english versions since she was/is so fluent in english ^^

In Musa's song, yes, her mother is dead. Winx Club had some extremely dark themes in it. They didn't shy away from themes like death and abuse. And they were all handled really maturely, too.
The first song you've listened to is NOT the original intro of the show. Its a song created by the people who made the english dub. This is an italian show and the actual intro isn't just in italian, but a completely different song. The people who made the german dub also made an intro song for this show in german, which again is a completely different song than the other ones. Would be kinda cool if you'd react to them as well 😊

when it comes to Winx music there is one person who has to be mentioned: ELISA ROSSELLI
She's a singer-songwriter from Italy and she has written most of the winx songs and sang them in Italian and English.
She is one of the best things that could happen to this franchise. Early on the creators realized they had a diamond w her on board and enlisted her to make a whole album: WINX IN CONCERT. Really recommend listening to that, as it captures many topics of the show and the music style is quite diverse!
Bless this woman, she is so sweet, to this day she interacts with fans daily and performs the winx songs around.

Your connection to Musa's song was spot-on and so lovely to see. The loss of her mom is something I'm glad they make a point of not forgetting and letting her express her feelings about. If you plan on doing more Winx music reactions I highly suggest listening to the soundtracks for the movies Secret of the Lost Kingdom and Magical Adventure because I feel they embody a lot of the magic and energy of the franchise really well and have some of my favorite tracks!

winx club definitely had an effect on young girls or guys watching it growing up and it was amazing too see representation in the show in 2004, with musa being asian, aisha being black and flora being latina and not just with these things they had other subjects that shows weren’t addressing at the time like stella’s parents being divorced, musa losing her mother, bloom being adopted.
I would definitely recommend reacting to the series because it’s SO good, if you want to react to more songs before that i definitely recommend way of believex and you may really the vocalist of that song, as well as other theme songs like the RAI english dub or the nickelodeon ones.

The reason why this big world feel so emotional and like someone put her soul into it is because the singer at the time she was writting the song had to deal with the loss of her father. So she was actually feeling the same emotions as the character while writing and recording. She even said she had to stop and cried a few times while singing it.
Musa's story about her dead mom was a big highlight in the show and I'm so happy to see someone with very little knowledge of the show appreciate that! this was genuinely heartwarming ^^

I never listened to Winx songs in English, but the ones here are surprisingly good. I have a couple of related suggestions:

the obsession with the wink club my younger self had was intense. I still love it to this day but it influenced younger me. there are different theme songs after the first couple of seasons. but the outfits especially the later seasons especially when they started having outfit change instead of the same ones but its one of the reasons I loved the show as well as the songs🥰🥰🥰

It's not well know outside of Germany and a handful of other countries but Germany got a unique intro for season 1 and 2 (Heller als Licht) and it's just SO good. Back in the 2000s some children's cartoons got their own intros here, for whatever reason, but every time they slapt!

The English dub actually got a different intro from the original Italian as well.
In my opinion, Winx Club has one of the best theme intros of all time ever sense I had watched it as a kid cause it was that catchy, the first intro really took the focus of bloom on her life becoming a fairy while it also shows each fairies own perspective momentum of magic to what kind of fairies they are in their persona.

So a bit of context for that third song. Musa's mother died when she was very young and her father was so heartbroken that he couldn't bear to ever hear music again to the point where he destroyed his instruments and as Fairies of Music that's essentially denying the entire core of who you are. It took many years and seasons for them to reconcile with each other and it was always so heartbreaking whenever they made or loss progress with overcoming their grief because overcoming trauma isn't a straight line and slipping backwards can happen.
The episode that that "big world" song is from is one of my all time favorites from Winx. Both as a child and adult. It's so tender and heartbreaking and cathartic. What a legend.
As already mentioned, it would be great to listen to the songs from the first movies, and also to learn even more about Musa (the girl who performs these sad tracks) I highly recommend "Winx Club - Heart Of Stone"

Winx club has a lot of songs that pull at your heart. It may have been a kids show but it tackled a bunch of topics you normally wouldn't see in a kid's show. Winx really does go deep in the earlier seasons pre seasons 6-8. Honestly the music was one of the things that made it so memorable in the first place. Elisa Rosselli was the primary singer for most of the score back in the old days. She is an Italian singer who did a lot of the Winx Club songs. She did This big world, the Chiwanbo song, Heart of stone, some of the transformation songs, and so many wonderful tracks that still hold a place in my heart to this day. I grew up on the 4kids dub of Winx but I later found the Rai english dub which I prefer over the Nickoloden dub. Elisa doesn't get enough praise for the work she did on Winx club and for making not only my childhood, but everyone in the Winx fandom's childhood better with her talented singing. Winx club in general is really special to me and it will be something I will continue to look back on fondly.

@@ChaoticallyCosmic No Rai's the original Rainbow-Italien Dub translated into different languages. 4Kids is the censored version especially made for UK cause they wanted to smooth some of the harder plot lines out (e.g. a lot of the drama is softened in 4kids and it kinda takes away from character depth).
The opening he listened to is also the 4kids opening exceptionally used in the UK. Rest of the world knows "under the sign of winx" as the official winx opening with exception for Germany (We had our own special song called "Heller als Winx" in Season 1 - which is quite frankly an amazing song, check it out if you've never listened to it - and switched to 'under the sign of winx' in season 2 and 3).

The theme song you heard was the song from season two on. Season one had a different theme song "Under the sign of the Winx" (in Germany > "Heller als Licht"), which I liked much better than the later one.
Besides the "belive in you" theme of the series, it was special because of the fashion. The girls had several outfits and they changed them often, not like in other cartoons.
As an Italian, I've never heard a lot of the songs in English and some sound strange to me.
They have a couple of different dubs in English. Some of the songs in this video was the 4Kids dub. It’s nothing like the Italian or any other language. Totally different music and script. It makes my ears cry of disappointment.

Basically there are three school in the Magic Universe, the first one if Alfea, the fairy school where the Winx go/went (they're kinda still in there even though it's been years since they graduated xD) ; there's Red Fountain, the school where their boyfriends go and where they learn how to fight to protect the universe. Then the third one is Cloud Tower where the witches go. The witches aren't necessarily bad, they aren't formed to be evil, but the Trix, the main antagonists are from this school and are just bad.
Now about every Winx:
Bloom - Fairy of the Dragon Fire. Grew up on Earth, discovered her power when she was sixteen, went to Alfea, met her friends and discovered who her biological family is and what happened to them. Long story short: her planet was sort of destroyed but with her friend they saved everything and everyone (in the first movie which is in 3d).
Stella - Fairy of the Sun and Moon. Princess of Solaria, her parents divorced and she still wishes for them to be together.
Flora - Fairy of the Nature. She's from Lymphea where she lived with her parents and her little sister.
Musa - Fairy of Music. She grew up on Melody with her parents, close to the water where she could hear the whales. Her mom died, and contrary to Bloom's family she never came back because she's just dead.
Tecna - Fairy of Technology. Just a nerd from Zenith, there's nothing particular to her, she's very rational but she evolves nicely through the seasons.
Layla - Fairy of the Fluids (Water). She's the princess of Andros, a planet which has the particularity of having a royal family for the earth and one for the ocean. She comes from the earth, but her cousins are sirens and tritons from the royal family of the ocean. The season 5 is centered around her planet and her family.

Hey so I'd recommend listening/watching all the winx club season opening and closing theme songs. Although keep in mind that the first 3 season were done by multiple studios so there are a few differing versions to those. Also there are a ton more of winx songs hope you enjoy cause i loved this show growing up 🥺.
tbh I would be nice to have you listen to the original italian versions and see what you think of them,maybe compared to the english versions.
Fun fact: the original singer also dubbed herself in the english versions since she was/is so fluent in english ^^

Superheroes will always make me cry because I get this nostalgic feeling whenever I rewatch the show, I’m glad I got to watch this during my childhood and maybe I can show my future kids this and hope they love it as much as I do 😊
