Great video Mark, many thanks for sharing. I downloaded the app today and immediately got to work, with excellent results. A$10 a year for the subscription is extremely reasonable. One thing I noticed is that the app is very battery hungry, so something to keep in mind for the longer shoots. That is on my iPhone 12, so might be better on the later models. Once again thanks!!
We love you Mark, the wmount of stuff you showed about photography and video stuff which i didnt know before is unbeliavable, you teach me new stuff all the time, you are amazing
Thank you, very nicely explained. One of the strengths of the iPhone built-in timelapse app is that you can set it in virtual darkness and capture a sunrise with perfect exposure adjustments for the full duration of the clip. They are perfectly blended so there is no Steppy exposure jumps. You didn’t mention anything about, the ability of this particular app to do the same thing. Is it just guess work with this app to get the exposure correct for a dark to light situation such as a sunrise? It seems that this app is only useful in static lighting situations. Is that the case?
Hi Mark, I just purchased the app, but I don't get the lens or max option next to the shutter button, I've tried looking through settings but don't see the option, what an I missing? Cheers
Cool video, thanks for the review I will for sure check it out for backyard astro time-lapse.🙂 Two questions 1. Do you have a link to the iPhone holder you have on the tripod? 2. Can the app do single shot with same controls as you show in the beginning, maybe Reeflex Pro Camera?
You don’t mention shooting HDR or Apple Log (w/ iPhone 15) with this app. From what I can see it’s not supported. I’ll stick to the BlackMagic camera app which gives me 4K HDR Timelapses on my iPhone 14 Pro.
Great video - I am new to the iPhone 15 Pro Max for photography, and thus just starting to learn and loved this video so much, I bought the App. Thanks, now I'm going out to shoot a nearby stream...and will try some traffic too. I had been hugely disappointed by the native iPhone camera app for time lapse. I am also using the BlackMagic camera app.
I have this app and I really like it. The issue I found is not the app, is that I have the insta360 flow gimbal, which has the timelapse option that gives slow movement to the gimbal and allows you to have great timelapses with movement, but it only allows you to do it with the insta360 app… at the moment that you start the movement and change to the reelapse app, the movement from the gimbal gets cancelled. The only solution I found is starting the gimbal movement with another smartphone, but having the iphone attached to it instead, with the reelapse capturing. It’s not a great solution as you have to carry two smartphones, and both have to be capturing, but I didn’t find any other option. It would be great to have a better solution.
Many stabilizer manufacturers do not allow other applications to control their stabilizers. Therefore, most likely, until the major players give access to stabilizer control, we will not be able to see control in applications not from the stabilizer manufacturer.
I think they are basically the same... but this one has more features. Before this APP Moment was 9Ii think) the only one offering the "blur" effect to make the TL better looking. But reelLapse took it a notch higher I believe. Also: Moment is cheaper ... 🙌 cheers!
what would determine the ratio of effects speed to interval .what is the difference between setting effects and interval at the same rate and slowing or speeding effects compared to interval
I have a iphone 15 pro max... and like to do nightime shooting stars, etc. I phone hardware for this is great, the native camera app is NOT. So, you sold me on trying it. $15 lifetime price is so affordable too!
*Yeah Mate, it still has that oversharpened small cell phone sensor look to the footage. I have a Samsung S22 which shoots in 8K 24p, and I would say it looks a great deal better than the iPhone 15 footage, but even so, it still has that small sensor cell phone camera look to the footage. The OSMO POcket 1 and definitely the OSMO Pocket 3 has that footage beat. The streaking highway time-lapse was the only footage which didn't look average to my eye.*
Unfortunately for me, the phone gets very hot from the program, which is why the phone turns off. Or he doesn't even go through two out of five recordings or quits. My phone is iphone 15 pro. What could be the reason for this. If you have an idea, please write it. with thanks
imagine the iPhone 15 pro max still can't record 4k timelaps in camera app while on the samsung s24 ultra you can shoot 8k timelapse and choose the speed and frame rate
Hallo i have a problem on you app you can get 4 K on my app I can’t get it why is that maybe 🤔because I’m in Australia 🇦🇺 please let me know thanks my phone is iPhone 16 2 camera..
Thanks mate, just bought it, hope it’s gonna look awesome
Bought it this morning, can’t wait to give it a go. Another great and informative video Mark 👍
Excellent info 👍
Great video, Mark! Now subscribed. Thank you.
Thanks for the video Mark! Just purchased it this morning, can’t wait to get out and use it!
What’s the price of this App??
is it a rental?? Per month or a one off price
Cheers have a great day
Great!
Does it have stabilization for hyperlapses? If so, how good is it?
Excellent review video of what looks an amazing app. Downloaded it already! Many thanks

The motion blur is a great improvement!
Is Rec.2020 HDR 10bit possible? This always results in insane images

Hi,how much £ is for an app?

Too bad the blackmagic app’s doesn’t do shorter than 1/24th shutter speed. That’s the only thing stopping me from using blackmagic for my Timelapse.
@@forrestmcbride6373 huh, I have no such restriction
Great video mate, lots of information, the app looks superb! Stunning videos! Big like(1k) and subbed your channel too 👏👍

output video only at 30fps ?
Which iPhone's will it work with?
Can you try street photography With Sony Xperia VI ? Is that posible ?

What tripod you are using ?
What the main difference between this app and Moment Pro Camera app for Timelapses?
I think they are basically the same... but this one has more features. Before this APP Moment was 9Ii think) the only one offering the "blur" effect to make the TL better looking. But reelLapse took it a notch higher I believe. Also: Moment is cheaper ... 🙌 cheers!
Also last Q, do you have a link to the tripod and phone mount you use? Preferably on amazon if its available, im drfs in the market for a new one 🙏
wow! good review Mark!
How can I mount an ND filter, (without a G lens), on an iPhone 15 Pro Max?
Good Video👌👌👌👌
what would determine the ratio of effects speed to interval .what is the difference between setting effects and interval at the same rate and slowing or speeding effects compared to interval
Will this app work on an iphone 12 pro ?
I bought moment apps which have timelapaw build aswell. Which better moment or relapse apps?
looks great! I'll have to check it out
Hi, thank you very much for the tutorial. for the tutorial.
Which one would be better to take in 2024?
Photograph or videography Sony a7iii or sony a7c??? One choice??
I’m gonna try this App 👌🏻
Brilliant 👍👍👍👍
Any way this app connects to the DJI OM6? This would be an epic way to get hyperlapses.
Wow thats impressive
Nice app! Thanks

Any android alternative? S24 Ultra is good but utilising the whole rig would be sensational

Nah, the free one on my phone does all I need.
All good, but how much do they charge? This isn’t for free I bet.
i miss the Option Miniatures
How much do they pay you?
🤷🏻♂️
This app isnt new on the AppStore
Same as DJI MIMO with Osmo Mobile 6
Looks like the Blackmagic app. They all seem to work the same.
How much is it ? Price is nowhere to be found. Thank you !
Free with all that “in app” purchase bollocks so you have now idea at the outset . Thats a red-flag for me!!
2:00
this app runs the battery down on the iphone very fast .
Amazing?
14.99$
Too bad you don't say it's paid.
He did say “on the market” which tipped me off.
Don't forget to add if necessary in the description: contains marketing content
imagine the iPhone 15 pro max still can't record 4k timelaps in camera app while on the samsung s24 ultra you can shoot 8k timelapse and choose the speed and frame rate
Because iPhone is made for profit and Samsung is made for customers 😮
