I can imagine the original vocalist tending to his pigs on his farm in butt fucking nowhere Germany with the radio on in the background, this song suddenly coming on, and them screaming “Was zur Hölle?”
I really applaud that you spent your energy on re-imagining the music, rather than trying to find out where it came from. You've made it a great piece of music in its own right. Sounds a bit like "The Church" to my old ears. I agree with others that it has a haunting quality.
The sad part is the creator probably doesnt even use the internet and are in their 60s, this was the same case for another former mysterious song named on the roof
If someone sprang this on me and told me it was a radio hit from the '80's, I'd believe them in an instant. Its identity can't be allowed to languish in obscurity any longer! I really hope someone will come forward and claim it, with "receipts" to back up their claim. Fred PS. Nice job! Interesting that all your band's members use the same fingernail polish. ;-)
@@thefranc2112 I wonder if Whoever made this Song is ever going to be found and what The actual Lyrics are and The meaning of this Great but sadly forgotten Song is it's starting to seem like it's going to forever remain A Mystery
Excellent, if there was just a little bit more echo in the voice, I would have doubts about whether it was the cover or the original obtained from a CD.
The original song was probably recorded in 1983 or 1984, so 39-40 years ago and we have no idea how old they were when they recorded it. So yeah, it is entirely possible they're all dead at this point.
At this point our best option is try to get one of these covers on the charts and then wait to see who tries to sue them.
This is not too far-fetched of an idea.

Thank you, I can imagine that too.@@gustavoolivares7263

beautiful cover! i prefer it over the original.
Wonderful cover! Wo the fuck is original artist ??
Thank you very much! I'd love to know who the original artist is too, let's hope we get to find it out soon
It is called "the most mysterious song on the Internet" because nobody have managed to find the artist - and many have tried.
I think this song should be called "Summer blues"
Very well made, but if the surviving version of the song has lo-fi sound, I guess, that does not mean that cover should be lo-fi too :)
I like it better like this
