His laptop isn't in sleep mode, but hybernate or shutdown, ( i know cuz i have Asus rog G814 2023 model). This means when its only on sleep, you get same 1 second ready pc, so yea, as expected apple offers nothing better except better watts = performance which is great for laptops, until you realize their performance is like 6-9 years old comparing to Intel / AMD, if their job wouldnt be increase performance well above 15% every year and be stucked decade ago, they could focus more on perfomance, Lucklily this is happing right know in coming 2 years, so maybe we will see apple struggle maybe just 5 year downgrade compare to Intel or Nvidia.

My mac actually boots pretty fast. At least for Windows, it does about 6-7 seconds despite it being 6 years old. For macOS, it’s a slow one. 30 seconds personal best.

Mines pretty much just as fast with fast boot but I leave it off and it takes a couple 2nd longer than this. Desktop though, the bios mode is very important for speed too with uefi being much faster than csm. Most mobos these days are either uefi only or at least support it.

My hard drive is 8 years old and failing. Takes 12 minutes to reach the password screen, 12 more from there to desktop and 6 more to get everything ready. Getting a new laptop thankfully this month.

I recently upgraded my pc to a 13600k with 64 gb DDR 5 - 6000hz
And windows is on a M.2 Samsung 970 evo SSD.
It turns on so fast that I can't read what button to press to open BIOS.
I had to film it turning on and scroll through the video after lol.
I think it boots in like 5 seconds. So the little text that tells you what to press to boot in BIOS just flashes by in 100 milliseconds.
Technically, there's a timeout option u can set in the bios to make it quick boot, disable that and u can read ur bioa
Mine was 12secs, Dell g3. Also if you want to boost ur pcs faster, just head to the “Startup” options in the Windows settings, turn off all the unnecessaries and you’re ready to go
