Toy Story Behind The Scene Voice Cast Directed by John Lasseter Starring Tom Hanks Tim Allen Don Rickles Jim Varney Wallace Shawn John Ratzenberger We are the toys most with a Woody and Buzz people all your sweet my heart you'd come back to find Andy.
My favourite line was after Buzz says, "I think the word you're searching for is 'Space Ranger'." And then Woody who has had enough at this point, says "the word I'm searching for, I cant say, because there's preschool toys present."
Well the movie released in 1995 so I assume this video was set in 94. Both Hank’s and Allen were on top of their game that time. What an era for animations and kids movies.
The fact that they got actors and perfectly made them be voice actors and are able to create such believable performances definitely shows the people pushing them did an excellent job
Every actor does voiceovers no matter the movie, live action and animated! Just a job detail of being an actor no matter the gig, you better be trained and ready to sync!
The Picasso reference, the hockey puck meta-reference to Don Rickels. The way Pixar inserted enough humor so parents could sit through a two-hour child's movie with their kids is incredible.
It's not a 2-hour movie… It's not even an hour and a half 😂 That's cool about the hockey puck reference though. I'm not nearly old enough to have picked up on that, but after looking it up that's pretty funny!
Tim Allen : I've always loved animated films, I've always wanted to have a voice to get done and now that I know how they're done, I will never ever do one of these again. *Came back in Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3* hahahaha !!
I like how they got rid of Woody's pure psychopathic nature, but kept his arrogance, leadership, but rude and hatred. It just makes him such a balanced and understandable character.
The most experienced, well-trained and refined collective voice cast I've ever seen, and the wittiest script, all contributing to a bunch of toys. Oh what wonders Pixar was back did back then, especially with their *debut* film, and the first 3D animated film ever.
4:50 It took up to this point for me to remember that this was the FIRST computer animated feature length animated film. It had never been done before, and while voice acting had been done in full movies in 2D, bringing it to 3D makes it so much more difficult to voice act as Tom Hanks puts it. It's amazing to think about how difficult it must have been for them, when now you have people who specifically only do voice acting in animation and games! It's crazy! And nowadays, you need the same energy when recording for both 3d and 2d animation.
@@Thomas_H._Smith I made this comment awhile ago so I think I was referring to the movie: The Princess Bride, where the guy who plays Rex, and Mr. Incredibles boss says inconceivable a lot.
Toy Story was the first movie I remember watching. I was a toddler when it came out and it was my absolute favorite. When I was a teenager and Andy went off to college in Toy Story 3 I actually cried
Im 20 and i missed watching this beautiful movie growing up as a kid because spending money for a movie was not our priority. Even though i wish i could have watched movies like these and other beautiful movies for children out there as a kid
Narf dont worry i had them downlaoded on my laptop all toy story 1,2 and 3 and i watch them as much as i can. Seriously my heart cant stop applauding for this movie but we're sure enough it would be more treasurable for me as a kid and as an adult if i had the chance.
1:27 Did any one else see Buzz's quick Vulcan greeting/departing hand gesture? Very slick, Pixar. I approve of your homage to Star Trek (esp to Spock).
Born 81’ myself and I gotta say I really think we were super lucky to be born 80’s.... we got to experience all the originals that were coming out in the 90’s and see technology blossom so we truly appreciate it. 🤘 rock on fellow 80’s baby 😎
WOW! The animation looks so dated (obviously) when you look at Toy Story 3. But, it was a pioneer in the world of animation movies. Go Toy Story!! I can not wait until Toy Story 4 comes out.
Yeah you don't really start to see how old it is until you've seen the new ones that came out after that and then it doesn't have that same charm that it once did when you saw it when it first came out, before there even was a Toy Story 2 or a 3.
When I rewatched the movie some years ago I was struck by how well the artistic design has aged. Sure, the computer animation can look pretty technically dated at times (especially in some backgrounds) but the important details they did add show a lot of life in the world and the expressions are still really good and dont ever hold back the emotion or the story.
We’ll never forget Mr and Ms. Potatoes head, Slinky Dog, voice actors, Rest In Peace.. Don rickles & Estelle Harris & Jim Varney… We’ll always remember them to infinity and beyond..
Tim Allen: I always wondered how the voice acting in these type of movies are done, and now that I know how they’re done I will never do this again. 2 decades later Toy Story 4 (2019)
Woody:YOU ARE A TOYYYYYYYY YOU ARE NOT THE REAL BUZZ LIGHTYEAR YOU ARE AN ACTION FIGURE you are a CHILD'S PLAY THING Buzz:And you are a sad, strange little man and you have my pity farewell (*live long and prosper from buzz to woody in hand sign*)
I grew up with Woody and Buzz toys, watching Toy Story 1. I later became a fan of Toy Story 2 as well. I didn't know they would ever make a third movie, but they made it the year that I left for college, and I wept because I had given my toys to my younger neighbor, similar to what Andy did at the end of the Toy Story 3. Truthfully, I have not seen Toy Story 4, because I thought the third movie ended on such a great note and I don't want to ruin it haha.
@@StormBreaker_3000 You blew my mind with that comment. The similarity in Tim's and Buzz's voices are uncanny. Can't believe I never caught that until you pointed it out

@@khafail6902 Tom hanks and Tim Allen do sound like their characters in real life. My point is that they don’t need to change their voices if they already sound like the characters
I can literally remember being a kid watching this with my parents and enjoying it, even now that I’m grown I still like watching this movie, movies they make these days just aren’t the same
I love that the voice of Rex and Bo Peep are Dr John Sturgis and Sheldon's meemaw from Young Sheldon, but the voice of Andy's mom is Sheldon's mom from The Big Bang Theory
I cannot believe how much exaggeration they put in describing how hard it was to put these old Pixar movies together after I grew up and learned about how easy it actually is to make a 3D animation film with using today's technology.

"Hey look I'm Picasso"
"I don't get it"
"You uncultured swine!"
Probably my favourite exchange in Toy Story 😂
What’re you looking at, hockey puck!
@@youreverydaysaltyiowastate5602 *squeaks in confusion*
That cracks me up too! 🤣
"You uncultured swine" is a regular insult I use now.
“Hey look I’m woody” “Howdy howdy howdy howdy” “HA,HA, HA……GIMMIE THAT”
😂😂😂😂😂 till this day I think that line is goated 😂😂😂😂😂😂
This cast is so iconic.
Shrek too
My favourite bit is when Buzz has totally lost the will and says “I am Mrs Nesbit”
I still quote that😆
My son loved that part sooo much lol we made a hat and super glued it to his buzz lol
He improvised that line.
years of academy training waasted

My favourite line was after Buzz says, "I think the word you're searching for is 'Space Ranger'." And then Woody who has had enough at this point, says "the word I'm searching for, I cant say, because there's preschool toys present."
I love that line 😂
I always get a chuckle out of that one.
"Getting kinda tense aren't ya?"
Toy story 1 was so edgy compared to the others
And the little troll toy squeaks right after like in agreement lol my two kids (1&2) watch this movie daily. It’s not my favorite scenes too.
RIP Jim Varney voice of slinky dog and Don rickles voice of mr potato head

Juls Marabe actually Blake Clark sounds like Jim and he was on Toy Story 3

Can't wait to see what happens for Kingdom Hearts 3.
and now R. Lee Ermey aka the Sarge voice actor...
1:34 "I will never, ever do one of these again", 3 more movies later...
I laughed sho hard when hew said this n LoL
Money is a helluva drug
Plus Buzz Lightyear Of Star Command: The Adventure Begins, so four.
You can tell he doesn't enjoy being Buzz though. Probably the reason why he's not in the spin-off.
Pretty sure it was a sarcastic joke.
It's the finest cast ever assembled to voice an animation, no question. It all fits like a glove. Miss you, Jim. RIP, Mr. Rickles.
