@ABRAHAM ASCENCIO All animated films always start out with terrible character designs but that's because they were drawn when they weren't fully developed yet. When it gets further into production, that's when they start looking more like how we see them in the movies.

Well the movie released in 1995 so I assume this video was set in 94. Both Hank’s and Allen were on top of their game that time. What an era for animations and kids movies.

Yeah. It's kind of funny to me.
The Picasso reference, the hockey puck meta-reference to Don Rickels. The way Pixar inserted enough humor so parents could sit through a two-hour child's movie with their kids is incredible.
It's not a 2-hour movie… It's not even an hour and a half 😂
That's cool about the hockey puck reference though. I'm not nearly old enough to have picked up on that, but after looking it up that's pretty funny!
The animation is still so great by today's standards and its 27 years old. Great movie.
The most experienced, well-trained and refined collective voice cast I've ever seen, and the wittiest script, all contributing to a bunch of toys. Oh what wonders Pixar was back did back then, especially with their *debut* film, and the first 3D animated film ever.
I like how they got rid of Woody's pure psychopathic nature, but kept his arrogance, leadership, but rude and hatred. It just makes him such a balanced and understandable character.
Tim Allen : I've always loved animated films, I've always wanted to have a voice to get done and now that I know how they're done, I will never ever do one of these again. *Came back in Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3* hahahaha !!
It's a guaranteed gig (probably signed a contract that obligated him to do the sequels or not) so why wouldn't he turn it down?

Im 20 and i missed watching this beautiful movie growing up as a kid because spending money for a movie was not our priority. Even though i wish i could have watched movies like these and other beautiful movies for children out there as a kid
Narf dont worry i had them downlaoded on my laptop all toy story 1,2 and 3 and i watch them as much as i can. Seriously my heart cant stop applauding for this movie but we're sure enough it would be more treasurable for me as a kid and as an adult if i had the chance.

I grew up with Woody and Buzz toys, watching Toy Story 1. I later became a fan of Toy Story 2 as well. I didn't know they would ever make a third movie, but they made it the year that I left for college, and I wept because I had given my toys to my younger neighbor, similar to what Andy did at the end of the Toy Story 3. Truthfully, I have not seen Toy Story 4, because I thought the third movie ended on such a great note and I don't want to ruin it haha.
Amazing how they made the worlds first full cgi movie so good. I loved it as a child and appreciate it much more as an adult.

That Woody at 0:07 is unhappy because they gave him such an odd shaped head. And now he watches the perfected Woody in theatres, adored by fans and basking in all the cameras and lights and glory. So this weird head shaped Woody watches it all with anger and envy, thinking "That should've been me. I was stripped away of what is rightfully mine." But he's gonna run out of patience soon and so he's gonna be the new villain in Toy Story 5.

Honestly, just imagine how easier it would’ve been…. If the actors were given ritual reality headset to wear while performing these roles.
How would it be effective? We for one the oculus rift offer controller support. And we know how they could’ve imported all the necessary virtual environments to help aid the actors in their performance. I don’t mean having to motion capture them too, but just for the actors to see the scene and know how they must voice their voices. When to be sad and when to be yelling in hysteria.
Props to the actors and directors for piecing it together with the technology and resources they had at the time.
We’ve come a long way since CGI animations. It’s like every movies is made with it now.
They’ve really gotten much better over the years. Got to hand it to them on that. As for the stories, well that’s much less a different topic.

Rip Don rickles and Jim varny (Slinky was racast for toy story 3 and 4) and for mr potato head for 4 they used leftover dialogue to keep him in the movie.
