Always watching and learning these new videos. Im going to the gym in mornings to practise this all before my school starts! Kobe's footwork is very important to learn!🏀🔥
i studied this film and took it into practice for a while and i just tested it out in a game of 32 and 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥰 this series is money. the quick left right pump fake mostly always gets them jumping as long as you look at the rim when you pump fake. then the use of the ball swing around your head is super helpful to get the ball through. Having the guy in the video that needed correcting on him planting form and pump faking was super beneficial for my learning. Thanks a bunch R2!
Great vid. It's great seing the learning process and the part where he corrects them when they make mistakes. That way the viewers are also able to pin point the areas where they need to adjust/improve.
My big bro and I are a huge kobe fan. We live and die for the mid range jumpers, Kobe's footwork and mamba mentality. Seeing this being taught puts a big smile to me! Keep it up Coach!
Great video, and I really like the fact you've used "regular" players to try the moves (well, for sure they're 24x better than me, but still), cause they sometimes still make little mistakes (which are probably mistakes we would make as well), so we also learn from them. Keep it up!
@@chilltownhoops5146 hahah I know, hence the quotation marks in "regular". I just meant it's nice to show other players doing it (and sometimes with little mistakes) rather than showing only the "right way" himself.
@@gustavogiacominpinho3987 yes I get what you mean but the coach is not good. he is good at teaching the moves but lacks the athletcism and skill to actually pull off the moves which is why he brings college players to demonstrate.
Quick critique: The guys started off attacking with the left foot but started to abandon it once the fakes & drops were incorporated. On the up reversedrop step I disagree with teaching to shoot off 1 foot. Once the reversedrop step comes the player should jump off two and kick the leg he used to reverse back to balance. The only time a player should go off 1 foot in that situation is deep in the low post finishing with a hook shot. On the half backspin you were correct it is a slight shimmy of the shoulder to fake the defender but forgot to mention the biggest secret is the slight head turn that really sells it. Couple things to improve upon but keep working & grinding y'all.
Love the videos bro because foot work are fundamentals of the game which alot of kids of this generation lacks. These moves I can tell are not natural to them. Keep the great videos coming through.
Aw so great... It's a long time I have not played and actually I want to play so this video is very instructive and I'm sure will help me on the court. Thanks for sharing
It’s true what he says about high school officials! to mitigate their miscalling of great footwork, I tell younger kids to always land on two before they get into pivots!
Quick question. A guy I consistently play always does a euro step but stops after his pick up and 2 steps. Then continues into a pivot. Is that a travel?
I think the shimmy at 06:56 is unnecessary because you’re not going to take the shot going to your right unless you’re going to lay it in or do a hookshot from that awkward position. As a defender it would be easy to read that move based on your pivot foot.
Good point but I don't think in every possession the defender is going to read you 100%. In some instances (especially when they're tired) that shimmy makes them react and will get you your separation.
At 1:53 I have a question: if he does not jump with both feet at the same time, then why it is not a travel? I mean if the player does not jump with both feet at the same time, then he obviously moves his pivot foot and he makes one extra step. Why this is would not be a travel? Can you explain exactly what does the rule say in NBA?
It’s isn’t a travel. It’s legal to rise your pivot foot as long as you don’t put it back down. But a lot of referees don’t know this and call travel anyways
Love the breakdown of the footwork on the step-through. It helped me figure out why sometimes I can't get the defender to bite. Really helpful to see three guys work through the drills too. All around, a great video.
@@humptydumpty9747 HAHA right? I once got called for traveling while dribbling in high school, I sayd "What?" and the ref said I was running too fast btween dribbles LOL
Saying Ref’s don’t know the game is like saying lawyers don’t know the law. Your making an instructional video and people believe what you are teaching them. Try to preference moves like that as some Refs may call travel.
Completely agree with this one. Im trying to look for a comment that talks bo it this. I have a question about the fake and the step through. So he sayin in highschool refs would call that travel, wouldn’t they call that travel in the league too? Since he moved his pivot. Wasnt it travel to move his left foot first since his moving pivot was his right?
@@walker_tracy8988 yea ik he can, but my question was, wouldn’t it be travel if he didnt pick both his feet up? Like if he lifted his left foot up while his right foot was on the ground, would be travel. So wouldnt jumping with both feet be the right way?
@@Castro-qt8pv no because essentially if you stride out with the foot you aren't pivoting with and then lift the pivot foot while simultaneously shooting your good
LeBron need to watch this video. Hell when he get some MOVES then I'll consider him a goat. IF and only IF he had these moves or any moves he would be the best player to EVER do it. Cause he is taller, faster and stronger than MJ. If he had these moves like MJ and Kobe he would be the best player to ever do it. I don't care about the titles and worthless stats ( Westbrook). Don't forget about the moves that you need to posses to be a Goat NOT just passing. To me he is just a Shaq on wheels.

I love the efficiency of Kobe’s move set. Very little wasted motion. Great instruction.
That's the truth right there. He drilled fluidity and LACK of extra movement while most players are constely working on SOLELY extra movement!
