Hi Ben hope you are well. I first want to say congrats on the new board company! I also wanted to ask a big favor of you,I am caregiver to my friend Joe who is a big fan of yours, you and your story really inspire him. He was a severe alcoholic until about 15 years go. He has been clean and sober since. He also has autism and disabilities so can't surf but wishes he could. I currently have him put up in a beach house in south Myrtle Beach because he is homeless. He was living with his toxic alcoholic family. I called protective services on them because they were abusing him, so his family threw him out. I saw you were going to be at Fully Nuking Surfside Beach on the 5th. He wanted to come see you there but can't because I am flying him back to the Jersey Shore (seaside Heights areas) to try to find him housing. He is so traumatized, sad and so scared. If there was some way you could come visit him here at the beach house while you are in the SC area, or perhaps in NJ, that would be a HUGE boost to his moral. He is a very intelligent and good man with a great attitude and only wants to do good for people and better his life. He needs people like you on his side to help him survive this. Please if there is any way you can come visit us or reach out in some way to him personally, please help me to keep him afloat during this difficult time. he has nothing and no one in this world but me and another friend trying to save him. It would mean the world to both of us if you could show your support. Thank you and keep the dream alive! We are trying no matter what!
