That allen key skit was totally unexpected lmao, I've been waiting for a dedicated review for quite sometime after seeing the VNM gear on the background of your rig, Lovin it Will thanks as always.
That looks like a hefty piece of kit! Crazy amount of adjustability with the pro kit too. Makes my Fanatec look like a toy. Thanks for another great review Will, loved the “mistaken” allen key size selection 😂.

The Fanatec shifter leaves a lot to be desired and this looks like a solid handbrake. I definitely like the all black design to keep it more low key.
I got taken for a drive by a championship rally driver as part of an experience day I booked. When he took me out in his own rally car, I was surprised at how little movement/travel his handbrake had (seemed like only an inch) and how little force it needed to make it work. He only used his fingers to operate it and never completely gripped the handbrake.
Doesn’t take much on dirt to get the car sideways I guess.
@@boostedmedia :D It certainly doesn't as I found out but this was a mixed Rally circuit with dirt, gravel and tarmac. When I commented on it he just said, that was how he liked it. Great reviews of the VNM kit btw. Might have to stop using my sequential shifter as a handbrake now.
Literally made my own load cell ebrake last night. Got it all wired up and mounted. Works great.

That preloaded screw design would take the moza srp's brake to the next level.
Now I have to go and purchase an accessory kit and whether or not I'll be happy with the results is to be seen.
Do you know if those springs are the same size between vnm handbrake and moza srp pedals?

Not enough about the side mount. I'm still confused if I need to get something additional besides Handbrake + Gearshift + Sideplate.
You seem to have some universal shifter mount on the bottom of it as well. What's that?
I've yet to try my first rally Sim. I'm still flat out trying to achieve my best at road racing. But when I get there (as I will) and I'm looking for a handbrake, on the strength of this review, I'll be heading straight to VNM. That looks like a great bit of kit.
Worth considering the Heusinkveld option too, which has served me very well... both seem to hit the mark!
Did you need to drill out the mount to fit the plug in the bottom of the shifter?
Do you have any advice on how to know when stock is available at fanatec for PS5? Bundles always out of stock. Items too pricey on there own. Any help would be appreciated. Top video again my son loves your videos he is 3 and always watches you lol
They will update their website as soon as stock is available. That’s the only way unfortunately.

Great video as always. How does the aiologs shifter and handbrake compare to the vnm shifter and handbrake obviously noticing the difference in price points. It’s hard to tell which would be the better choice for me as I’ve not experienced either. Have you got any suggestions?
The aiologs handbrake isn’t in the same league as this. The sequential doesn’t have wi has good mechanical feel but has the advantage of being very compact. I still run it on my main rig.

@@boostedmedia are the fanatec and aiologs handbrake similar too each other? Or is one superior to the other. Sorry for asking a lot of questions it can be hard to judge products without trying them.
I've been looking at getting a handbrake, and this looks very interesting, but the Heusinkveld is still at the top of my shopping list as there's not much difference in price, plus the Heusinkveld appears to offer all of the adjustment potential out of the box without a need for a "pro kit". Sure on pure specs the VNM "wins out" with a 200Kg LC v a 120Kg LC on the Heusinkveld, but the implementation of the load cell is IMO far more important than just the raw numbers.
I don't know if you've tested the Heusinkveld handbrake yet, but if you have it would be good for a quick comparison.
I don’t have any experience with the HE handbrake, but I don’t think the 200kg load cell is a practical advantage.
@@boostedmedia It may not provide any practical advantage, but it does make you wonder why they were 100kg transducers on the initial release of these VNM handbrakes, and now they come with a 200kg transducer.

You'd be surprised haha. I know some people who have very stiff handbrake's in their real life cars and need to simulate that kind of force. Very rare though
I wasn't aware that these handbrakes are an axis, the majority of games/sims I've played treat the hand brake as a button, its either on or off. What are some good cheaper options?
The Moza HBP Handbrake(hall effect sensor) is cheaper and better than the Fanatec Handbrake(Potentiometer) since Fanatec hasn't done anything to improve further on the design like they have done for the pedals.
Can you plug this handbrake into the shifter usb port on the vnm shifter haha???
Hi guys .. Off subject of video.. In a previous video F1 VRC mod around Nordschleife.. how do you change the ai names in the sim hub leaderboard.. I have times.. but no driver names or team emblem for ai.. it’s driving me mad .please help🙏🙏🙏

This looks like a cool handbrake but it's mostly made me wonder why the thrustmaster handbrake is so much more expensive!
Probably because thurstmasters is also a sequential
Its also a Sequential and on top of that you have to pay a licensing fee to Sparco. ( I still think its over priced )
