Grown entirely outside? where are you located and what temperatures are common during the seasons? - I've grown 2 very nice Tamarinds, in Bonsai pots, from seed - indoor due to my concerns about temperature and overwatering ( It rains a lot in Denmark)
Hi… it’s really a wonderful transformation of a seed grown plant to an awesome bonsai..!! By the way, asking just for the curiosity, how many times in a year you did main pruning and repotting?
@@aquablooms i am really galad to see that you like this process of bonsai making. In a year i usually prune 2 times..but never prune your bonsai in winter season. I find it best after the ending of winter season and in the middle of rainy season. And about repotting, i havent repot this plant yet. I am planning to repot this Year. You can usually repot you bonsai in every 2/3 years depending on the size of your bonsai pot and plant.
As I am growing this from seed, so it will take couple of years for fruit. Easiest way for early fruit, just grow your plant from a cutting of a tree which is already providing fruits.
Tamarind is the best plant to bonsai in South Asia. It sprouts and grows easily. Its perfect for beginers like me.

Really amused by your work.
If I may ask what is the metal the wire is made of?
This is call Gi wire, used for construction works. Copper aluminum wire is not available in my location.
n btw um really sorry for my late reply
What’s the reason behind cutting leaves in half?
Cutting the full leaves may cause die back the whole branch.

These trees are fruit trees they’re not bonsai decorative plants. Sorry not sorry.
You can bonsai pretty much any tree, some just do it better
So a lemon tree bonsai can’t be a bonsai? Or apple trees? Just cause they have fruits?
