      The DOJ and Homeland Security recounted the numbers at found out Hillary got millions of illegal votes . 800 thousand votes from dead people . The MSM Buried the story and threatened to destroy anyone who brought it up. They also found out that taking out Obama's illegal votes ,Romney won the popular vote on 2012 .

    Hillary did not "win" anything. The popular vote is meaningless according to the rules set up for a presidential election in the US. In football, it doesn't matter how many yards you run or how many tackles you make. What matters is how many points you score, and you play the game accordingly. Neither Trump nor Hillary campaigned to get the popular vote. They both focused on getting the electoral votes, especially in the swing states. If the US changes the rules, the campaign strategies will change, and then a popular vote might mean something. What would have happened if Trump had actually campaigned in California, instead of writing it off?

    • @charlesvan13
      @charlesvan13 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Trying to change the rules after the game is a form of cheating.
      All competitors knew that the electoral college would decide the election. But for some weird reason Clinton didn't campaign for electoral votes, but rather popular vote total. She was campaigning in California when she was losing crucial states from neglect.

    • @wmoy8507

      Hillary won by 3 million votes. If you subtract the votes of both candidates from California and New York, Hillary lost by a million votes. Something the pious, self righteous progressives fail to admit which means the rest of the country did not vote for Hillary. But let the progressive keep thinking their progressive policies are popular. We will see how the blue wave will fizzle come November 2018.

      the #1 reason trump won is that he had some intel and military buddies block clinton's attempts to rig the election
      in 3 key states.
      that's why she could never accept her defeat; the election was bought and paid for, and she didn't get her money's worth.

    If it were all about popular vote, all you have to do is to go to large cities and ignore ALL rural areas. That is why we have the electoral vote. If we were to decide the election to California only... Dems will always win. If we were the decide the election to TX only Reps will always win. Popular vote does not represent the whole electorate community. Please understand that before passing any judgment.

    Like with the Constitution, the Democrats do not understand the rules . The Electoral College is the only thing that matters. Its that simple. Never going to WIsconsin was just stupid. Piling on votes in NY and Cal was worthless. Its like saying since you made more free throws, you should be declared the winner of the basketball game, even though the other team shot the lights out with 3 pointers. Arrogant and stupid.

    Regarding Arnie Parnes statement about Bernie voters at about the 22 minute and 20 second mark in the video according to the Washington Post more Bernie Primary voters as a percentage of the whole voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 than Hillary Primary supporters again as a percentage voted for President Obama in 2008.
    Bernie campaigned hard for Hillary and it was very noticeable how much less of a crowd he was drawing after the Democratic nominating convention compared to before Hillary secured the nomination.
    the NPR site has an article titled "Here's How Many Bernie Sanders Supporters Ultimately Voted For Trump" it also mentions that up to 25% of Hillary supporters voted for McCain rather than Obama in 2008 while around 12% of Bernie Primary supporters voted for Trump rather than Hillary.

    • @williamwingo4740
      @williamwingo4740 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Compare that to the Ford-Reagan-Carter debacle in 1976. Many republicans--myself included--were so disgusted with Ford that they simply couldn't vote for him under any circumstances. Not all of them voted for Carter, but many went third party or stayed home. I wrote in Reagan that year, but had become a Libertarian by the 1980 election.
