Even though it’s nostalgic, I wouldn’t because the way we watch TV has evolved and it’s better than ever. 2012-2014 had great music I have to admit. From good quality tv animation like Green Eggs and Ham to cinematic shows like Stranger Things. We even have musical shows where an original song is performed in every episode like Central Park and Julie and The Phantoms. It couldn’t have been done back then because tv networks didn’t have the outlet to take so much more creative control. Streaming Services like Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, HBOmax, Paramount+ etc allowed that.

We were all having a "girl" party and I was the youngest one. I miss that so bad. I always chose this song to play, and I would sing it so hard. I miss being young and carefree.

2012 I was 8 years old when our primary school had a party and the speaker machine thing was blasting these songs and everyone was vibing. We were jumping around having so much fun. They were tossing out biscuits, cookies, lollies, juice, coke, lemonade etc.
I had a party like this a little but in 2012. One of the best parties I’ve ever been to.
I was also 8 in 2012 and I remember these songs. Being in elementary school cafeteria and these songs would play while everyone had lunch. I just remember being there with my old pals of that time. We all went out separate ways in life years later.

Her manager basically raped and molested her nonstop back then & he kept her from doing song features and a bunch of other business ventures basically as a power manipulator flex. Which is why she just mysteriously STOPPED making music suddenly at the very PEAK of her popularity.
Remember how she was litterally EVERYWHERE on every radio and then suddenly we all heard nothing? It wasnt a one hit wonder situation, she just literally couldn’t release any new material because of her boss. She even wanted to start making slightly more mature topic songs to slowly transition away from autotune. But none of it happened until a decade later when she finally got free from him And made those new songs around 2018/19 era 😢

This brings back memories of a 2012 road trip me, my brother, and my two cousins had taken. We were driving for four hours from the small town we lived in to meet up with our grandparents, who were gonna take all of us on a transcontinental Amtrak journey. This short video managed to bring back memories that have been packed away for almost a whole decade.
I would sacrifice all of my modern technology just to live in this time again. No phone, a big bulky tv, and a windows 7 PC that I would play coolmathgames on.

We fucking loved any type of music, and during this era was our time for pop music. Fast forward to September 2021 he broke up with me, and I seriously don’t even know why. Let me just say anywhere around 2012 was the best time of my life.

This brings back memories from elementary school of when we had school parties in the gym in the mid 2010s and all of the music was from 2012 and 2013 and those years. Going into the gym washroom would make it sound like this. I’d do anything to go back to those times, I miss thinking the future was bright and just enjoying my life and whatever was around the corner.
The particular sound made by the « bathroom effect » makes the music sounds like you get them from deep In your memories, that’s why we are all so nostalgic In these videos.
This might be true, when I listen to these songs regularly in a playlist, it sounds nostalgic but just not as severe as with this effect.
Man 8th grade formal. That was a good time. Asked the girl I had a long crush on to go to the dance with me, she said yes. Had a lot of good friends at the time, made a close friend who wouldn’t stop quoting Tarentino movies, remember hearing thrift shop for the first time with him. Remember half of my friends were bronies, and it wasn’t cringe.
Now I’m sitting in a room after college got the dream done I wanted when I was in the 8th grade, which was being a pilot, but I’m lonely, little to no friends, less fun, got mental issues which I can’t fix. It is what it is, I move forward, but sometimes I miss it. It was a bit of a fever dream year. There would be good moments afterwards, but it really was the peak of my childhood. I felt like I really fit in for just a little bit.
Also I noticed too a lot of this music is about enjoying the moment as short as it may be, it fits so well with that time for me.
I think 2012 was the last year of really good pop music... after all it was the year "the world was gonna end" so all the artists were like, lets make the best music ever this year!
