I'm only 17 but that sounds weird but not weird since to me 2007 seemed kinda modern and like the present but it was 14 years ago and I was only 4 years old at the time.
I was 18 in 2007. I remember being at clubs and going into the bathroom and this is exactly what it would sound like. I don't mean to get nostalgic and so predictable but the 2000's were a different and much simpler world.

Didn't grow up with gadgets, no internet and social media until high school. I would smuggle my older brother's CDs of rock bands in school and play it in the classroom during breaktime. Of course, classmates had to listen to it. 🤣 Communities were more tight knit. Anthrax scare mail, SARS, but we turned out fine. I am an introvert so I had always disliked clubs and parties. Kids today have an overload of information and entertainment so they have more things to sort out. 🙂

This reminds me of my mom taking 4 year old me with her to her job at a fashion company in late 07 and early 08 where 'Umbrella' or 'Stronger' played and I really loved 'Umbrella' then.

You are served non-alcoholic champagne from your teachers, and you suddenly feel like an adult. Balloons are hanging around the room, while the disco light is on. You wanna ask the boy/girl you like for a dance, but you're too shy. Later, you finally go up to them, nervously, and ask them for a dance. You get a high-five from your friends because you were brave enough to ask. You go to the toilet and can hear this music in the background while looking at yourself in the mirror. Life is good.
In 2007 I was living in an apartment above a music store and next to a restaurant with a bar/club on the second floor. This really takes me back to hearing the music blasting on the Friday and Saturday nights I stayed home. I can't believe how long ago that was. Feels like yesterday.

I was born in the late 80s and grew up during the 90s. When I was 10, the 1997-8 club scene is what I aspired to one day. Then I grew up and hated my generation's dance music, the clothes, the scene... I just felt like something had been lost... Your comment makes me realize maybe a lot of people feel this way, because in 2007, I was in college, hitting up bars and clubs, getting sloshed, dancing with my friends, but the whole time thinking, this isn't quite it. Why couldn't I be born 10yrs earlier? Maybe we all miss a time that never really existed, because the people that lived it probably longed for a different time as well...
Because nostalgia makes you feel like "the party" is over. So hearing the music from the W.C resembles that you as well missing the party and it reminds you of that. That's why nostalgia is the best and worst feeling at the same time because of the things it can make you feel.

2007. My last year of elementary school. 3 or 4 kids getting their first flip up cell phones. Nintendo DS for gaming on the go and chatting with other kids who had them. I had the Vans skater shoes, the stonewashed South Pole jean shorts and whatever baggy t shirt I could find.

I miss this era so much, I just remember having the music channel on all the time and hearing tracks like this on the radio lmao, I think 2007 was such a great year, especially for music (in terms of my childhood and nostalgia)

You are served non-alcoholic champagne from your teachers, and you suddenly feel like an adult. Balloons are hanging around the room, while the disco light is on. You get a high-five from your friends because you were brave enough to ask. You go to the toilet and can hear this music in the background while looking at yourself in the mirror.

In 2007 I was living in an apartment above a music store and next to a restaurant with a bar/club on the second floor. This really takes me back to hearing the music blasting on the Friday and Saturday nights I stayed home. I can't believe how long ago that was. Feels like yesterday.

I was born in the late 80s and grew up during the 90s. When I was 10, the 1997-8 club scene is what I aspired to one day. Then I grew up and hated my generation's dance music, the clothes, the scene... I just felt like something had been lost... Your comment makes me realize maybe a lot of people feel this way, because in 2007, I was in college, hitting up bars and clubs, getting sloshed, dancing with my friends, but the whole time thinking, this isn't quite it. Why couldn't I be born 10yrs earlier? Maybe we all miss a time that never really existed, because the people that lived it probably longed for a different time as well...
