So apparently sarco's gator dash is not as useless as I thought...

The way you found to weaponize it is straight up just what crocodilians do in real life LOL
They either strike their prey slowly and methodically when completely hidden in water, or if the prey is slightly outside the water, they charge at it potentially mouth agape and then nail it at crazy speeds.
Sarcosuchus wasn't actually a crocodilian but it was a neosuchian and so it was a very close relative of the crocodilians. So it probably hunted similarly.

people complain about me hacking when I kill them sleeping right next to the water with any aquatic or semi lmao
I've barely seen any crocs when I play so sleeping next to the water instead of the open usually works out safer for me

They need to allow Sarco to attack, while in Gator Dash that would scare a lot of mid tiers and lots of fun.

I actually like how much faster it is for sarco to use for running on land! Didn't seem to use as much Stam as running would 😂 I personally like the niche, "useless" abilities and trying other things from 'meta' like I don't run face tank on rex and I treat it like a bigger dasp. Haha

I'm a new player who's been watching your content on Sarcos because I've been growing one on official. In your opinion, which would be the best build to go with right now? Between this and the ambusher one?
I'd say ambusher you can oneshot dasps so I say it is better
I was using the ambush ability (2x dmg) on this one. If you mean lunge vs gator dash, I'd go and master lunge first. Dash in combat is very situational 🐊

Would you risk using gator dash like this?
HELL no
It can lead to some really easy kills on sleeping players far from the waters edge, but can also leave you stranded and easy pickings so it's definitely a high risk high reward playstyle. It gets bonus points for being unexpected.
How soon it is unlocked? Could be useful for growing - coastal questing, using it this way to snatch a trophy to boost grow here and there and also get out to water safety when needed. Plus killing annoying pachys or whatever doesn't expect you to close distance on them on land/shore. Sunbathing on cliffs above water might also be roleyplaying compatible viable playstyle using it offensively or defensively for escape, naturally many would count you as dangerous only if they don't see you. Wacky builds are fun.

Yes, I use sarco on cerulean island and I've killed rexes so many times, a land sarco is what I main

I currently have speed since the removal of thick scales and the introduction of ambush.
Get in, take advantage of ambush, get out quick is usually my strategy

Ye for this build you would need to hit and run back to safety as fast as possible - taking down your target before they can fight back.
Also I just think speed sub is easier to hide in the bush ~

When you hurt people that much, do you ram them with gator dash like what the heck?
When they sleep they take 4x dmg. Regular sarco bite does 50 x 2 (with ambusher). You can do up to 400 raw damage (before factoring in the weight/armor) on a sleeping target with just the default bite :)

Is it possible to use the bleed bite straight out of the charge? That probably does a ton of bleed on first contact on a laying down opponent.
It's actually the opposite. There is no resting multiplier for bleed/venom/bonebreak when I tested. What actually happens is that they instantly heal status effects while resting - essentially making it pointless to bleed/envenomate/bonebreak a resting target.
Best to apply status affects when they get up ~
Also you have to manually cancel the dash to attack ~

somehow every time they update the sarco they make it less and less of what it actually was. that and they call it 'gator dash' fuckin sarco isnt even a crocodile let alone a gator....
how do you take a giant crocodylomorph that sustained itself primarily on fish with its conical teeth and turn it in to a galloping one shotter that also has the most effective bleed in the game.
yes there is a species of crocodile that when young can 'bound' (we have all seen the video) but at a certain size and weight they all stop this behaviour as it exerts them too much and they are not evolutionarily designed to move like that. its the devs not even putting in barebones research in to the creatures they add in to the game and just cherry picking pop culture surface level animal knowledge and buzz-facts and terms that are just straight incorrect or used incorrectly and the balance of the game that really just puts me way way off path of titans. no im not an isle stan i was a kickstarter backer for PoT and every time they add something i just get more disappointed

Don't fall for this game. It looks cool but its lame.
Every single dinosaur will attack you on sight every single time. It gets really really old dying to mix packs and lag just to repeat the same 5 quests over and over again.
This game is for autistic zoomers who care about nothing but getting kills. Play a real game, don't waste your time with this one.
