"if you've ever heard of Silk Sonic..." ARMY is very familiar with Silk Sonic, because Anderson .Paak is a big fan of BTS and collabed with RM on his last album (on Still Life). Also, several of the members attended the Silk Sonic residency performances while they were in Las Vegas in April 2022.
RE: the bandage on his eyebrow: First, this was filmed before RM entered the military - they are not allowed to work on a second career while serving.. So everything - music, photo shoots, MVs, etc. were done before December of last year. RM actually injured himself when filming the very first scene of this MV - he leaned down and hit his eye on the camera. He had to leave and go to the hospital to get stitches...but he came back and finished the shoot after. The director was really impressed - and also said "I thought I was going to be immediately deported, because I scratched the national treasure!"

If you've read the book 'The Midnight Library' by Matt Haig, [which Namjoon was seen reading in In The Soop Season 2], Namjoon's character mirrors the protagonist.
He explores different phases of life filled with regrets or with the weight of society's pressures: being a good son, a good friend, marrying, and being a good husband and father. Everyone always expects something from you, as the librarian guides him between doors.
The protagonist finally realizes that her current life is the best version and lives it without regrets. This is mirrored in the end scene where Joon leaves with Minha (the librarian) and returns to his current life without any regrets.
The DOOR Joon yearns for is LIFE!
The final scene resembles the bookshelf in the Midnight Library.
Another interesting thing is that the book is published by Canongate Books whose logo is similar to BTS but in red.
This book saved me and watching #comebacktome as the visual version of the book is overwhelming

I'm sure some fans won't get into something more alternative like this, especially if they're only really into BTS' pop singles, but trust me plenty of us are loving it! It's certainly something new, but at the same time there's a clear through-line here for anyone who's listened to his other albums, or who's engaged deeply with BTS' discography. For a lot of fans this kind of emotional depth and subtlety is exactly why we're here in the first place
Knowing some background about RM, re: interviews/lives/festa dinner - things he's said in the past I think I interpret this a little different. Each situation didn't give me an impression of a memory as much as perhaps a metaphor for situations or, even more possibly, as alternative universes that he could be existing in (he spoke about AUs during Festa 2022). My take/impression - Namjoon's been sharing the last few years how he's been feeling lost creatively, lost his voice, lost his handle on what BTS is even, feeling burnt out - in Wildflowers he wrote about how fame is like a shackle - and then in Yun he also shared how there are voices telling him what he has to do now to keep his status, level of success, "you're nothing without your team", etc - that feeling of disconnection from himself and what's happening outside of himself (Right Place, as in success/status/situtions that are coveted, Wrong Person, him not feeling fulfilled or truly wanting those things - even the parents at the crib - the expectations of others wanting him to perform or react in ways that they want - and then there's spring, "it's always been there" - my impression is that spring and the woman he connects with actually represents his muse or creative force - his connection with himself that allows him to be grounded and present in whatever situation he finds himself in - and then leaving barefoot (grounded) ready to embark on creative adventures outside of the box or limitations he or others were placing on him. He and the rapline have often talked about how the creative process is often painful in some ways, but also it's their love (Black Swan - music not moving you would be like a 1st death) - so "you are my pain, divine divine".
This is pretty much exactly my interpretation. It's coming back to the self... and the deepest core of the self is that creative muse. For some of us, even when you get the things you're 'supposed' to seek out in society (success, friends, partner, family etc.) there is always that deeper calling inside. Creating can be painful, the knowledge that you'll never truly be satisfied by a normal life can be painful, the realisation that success, which you chased for so long, cannot give you what you need is painful.... that yearning for something deeper is a painful feeling, but it truly is a 'pain divine', because that pain is the reason to keep getting up in the morning, and if you can learn to sit with it and nurture it, you can find so much beauty and meaning.
I loved your analysis. The song and MV are true Art and so therefore are open to all of our interpretations based on our experiences. I’m going to follow you.
Just a couple of notes:
1: this song didn’t surprise me at all because of his past solo work. If you haven’t yet listened to them, my favorite albums of all time are Namjoon’s mono and Indigo!
2. Also songs that he gave us like Bicycle are very much in this lane as well.
3. His song in mono, everythingoes has that rocking chair feeling that you get in Come Back to Me.
4. In Indigo, the first song, YUN is brilliant and just such a vibe. Also Change pt.2 and No.2, which is the last song on the album.

Army's size makes it so that there will never be a consensus on opinions about a song, good or bad (except On ft. Sia...literally everyone agrees on that one 😋) BUT I will say that this song is not such a break away from the type of music that RM's been making since Mono so not wholly unexpected AND actually this specific song has been highly anticipated by a core group of Army since this summer when he surprised us by performing it as an untitled track at Suga's D-Day concert. This MV was trending #1 for music (which does not include views from ads) and was #1 on itunes globally for multiple days so, while there may be those who are vocal on the internet regarding their opinion, there are many Army who not only loved it but whole-heartedly go out of their way to support each and every members releases expressly to give them the creative freedom to make music that satisfies their hearts as artists.

This is not the first time Namjoon makes this type of music. He has all type of songs on his albums and mixtapes. I haven’t seen bad comments about this song from any army. So I don’t understand your comment.
On the contrary, as I suspected after I did this video I've seen mixed comments about the song. Which is unfortunate because I love it, and I can feel how much love RM put into it.

I think it is like alternative scenarios that he could be in but he didn't want to at that moment... Maybe because those moments are like expected but not exactly desirable.
Maybe... RM "wondering in the maze of life", which door we walk through and what remains behind closed doors? What others want/ what you want? Are you wrong person in right place?... This is real song what we can really listen, a movie to watch and thoughts to talk about after💜. Everything BTS put out now are made before military (they even cant promote) - their only job is now "military".
ARMY expects are "no-expects"😅 We know there are no box where BTS (or members) stays - literally jumping (or walking...) out of boxes😂. Sorry my english and greetings from the north edge of Europe

I believe bts started bein famous in d PH. Now that we have our own group that sings live(all genres), bts no more. Foriegn fans come to PH just to watch their concerts. Fyi, singing and dancing is part of our culture. 1st karaoke machine is invented by a filipino. Also, im so sad u dnt hav much viewers in ur channel while u are my fave reactor. 😢 SB19 i highly recommend. Pls take my suggestion even for once. Im just tryna help. Their upbeat songs are Bazinga, Crimzone, Gento and Mana. Also their ballads will melt ur heart. Tnx in adv or should i say thank me later. Hopefully. 😂❤😂

The 3 Colors are RBG- red, blue, green, their light blended makes white light and they are the colors of pixels of screens on TVs, phones, etc. So maybe it means that door leads to light, and an infinite possibility of pictures, scenes, lives. Just a theory.
