Excellent refresher video. I had not used my EX-1 for more than two years and watching your video really helped me refresh the basics. I think I'm going to print a pre-shooting checklist based on your tips and keep it always in my camera bag. You only need to forget checking a silly setting to ruin your video. Thank you very much.
Hello I am trying to buy a lens hood for this camera,, but wherever I find it,, they are very expensive,,, can you tell me where I can obtain it very cheap?
Admittedly, this is not great video. We needed an easy way for our videographers to review the camera, and this was an experiment. We didn't know whether it would be helpful, so we didn't spend money or take enough time with it. The lighting was not adequate, so I threw on some effects so the background didn't look wrinkled and yellow. The next video like this I do will be mostly scripted voice-over with more camera close-ups, which should help with a lot of these problems.
We regularly use all 3 of these cameras to shoot multi camera full HD scenes with no problems. I personally like the EX1 because it does not compress the video as much as the other two, but it's getting older and a little dated now. The NX5U is the least expensive of the 3 cameras. In lower light situations like the dance recitals we film in the spring, it can be a little grainy. But, it's the lightest and easiest of the 3 cameras to use and usually gets the best color in full auto mode. The FS700 is the newest with the most capabilities, including slow motion.
+JacquieGreff Thank you very much for the interesting infos and how about the Panasonic gh4,Panasonic x-1000, Sony z100,Sony z150, Sony ax1 and canon xc-10 ?? Thanks
It was shot against a white background which wasn't lit well enough. As a result, my hair (I'm the speaker) was about the same as the background and I used a lot of effects during the edit to make it look as good as possible. If this was more than a free web tutorial, we would have reshot it.

Mikkey, I'm sorry this wasn't helpful to you. We did it for our videographers who needed a quick review before using the camera.

Why is this video so overexposed and saturated?

Ahh, okay haha
