Vilvadi is by far my favourite violinist and musician. His music is so magnetizing. It has ups and downs so fast and it never bores you. It's a blessing to the world❤
He is fascinating, I agree! Got to love how Vivaldi claimed he couldn't say Mass because of his asthma. Yet had no reservations travelling around Europe and giving concerts as a brilliant violinist/conductor, staging various opera productions and touring the country with his mysterious female companion, the prima donna Italian soprano Anna Giro. No one used the Minor key more than Vivaldi, that's why his music appeals to the modern ears better than most.
Just curious, wha the minor key have to do with modern ears? I’d just assume that would mean he had his own unique sound that made him memorable. I mean that’s the case with all the Greats.

I agree. Vivaldi's music can be defined as "Pure emotions" in the shortest term but those emotions are usually blended with melancholy. Even his largos in his major key concertos are often melancholic. I think this is significantly related to his life. He possibly always lived with a feeling of missing and incompleteness.

Vivaldi is one of the most famous composers, but still, he is the most underrated composer surely. Bach's music is insanely genius and maybe he is the best composer, but he is earthly. But Vivaldi comes from heaven. He speaks with the human soul and emotions so deeply. For me, there is no other composer who could do it. The most closest were the Russian Romantics.

The Piano Concerto No. 21 - Andante should be played softly once in a while, in cemeteries. The melody reminds me about the life of those humans who are gone. One feels the vibrancy and resonance in every note, powerful emotion and beauty. WOW, what a masterpiece...

I've heard people say that Vivaldi is a lot of the same thing. Uh...no. Each piece is a revelation. Yeah, it's his style which is consistent (though did evolve and change) but every piece is unique. they're just not listening carefully or thoughtfully
