I’m in Ohio. Going to be high 50s this coming week
And the guy next door asked me to take down 12 to 15 cottonwood trees. All of them around 12” diameter
Normally I have to drive to find free firewood!! Score

In northern Ohio, I'm hoping the 50's and 60's weather starting here tomorrow will start to dry up this mud we have, and get back to the woods to clean up several downed trees. It's just been too muddy, or too much snow on the ground, to get back there and clean up the mess from winter. I am on 7+ acres, with a pretty good 2 acres of woods, and trees (like ash dying) seem to come down regularly when the wind blows. Also, lost a few big dead pine trees in there this winter. I only use them for fire pit burning, but, I have the use of a Timberwold TW5 that i borrowed and have stored for a friend. Nice job on handling the offload, and not damaging the trailer, or the excavator, too.

@@survivingcountrylife7069 no, my woods. We have oak wilt here and if you break a branch off a tree, a beetle brings a fungus to the wound that kills the tree. Red oaks roots join together and then it spreads underground, killing all the trees. The state sets up guidelines to limit the spread. I'm OK with it I would rather save the oaks.

Just curious or nosey. Do you do any septic system installs? To me they look like a pretty good money making opportunity buy possibly for you the time required might prove difficult. They’re usually a crisis situation and need done immediately which would prove difficult with your employment. At any rate it’s awesome you now have the Dodge, dump trailer, and excavator to utilize with the firewood. Without them it’d be much more difficult and productivity would plummet. My $00.02 worth.
