I love that you show your learning process-so helpful for those of us who are also learning, to see what is challenging to others. Your chicken painting came out great!
Feel ya, I also always think like "Is it just me?"😄 That's why connecting with people like this is super nice. Are you taking art classes, too? Or what are you focusing on learning at the moment? Thanks so much, I'm happy you like the chicken, too🤗
Thank you so much! I gave her the name "levitation" as a reminder that feeling free and enjoying the flow of life is just a matter of mindset✨️ I'm happy you like the rooster, too! It definitely taught me a lot☺️
I'm glad I watched your video. I only signed up for their beginner program and I haven't started yet.... It tells me I have to be more dedicated and not have too many other projects that I do right now. You're lucky because you're coming in as an artist. I painted abstract art with my left hand for a few years. I'm hoping that gives me the edge. I'm just glad I get to see someone else going through this program. Can't wait to see some of your great projects.
I'm so excited for you! I don't know the beginner program, but I guess it will give you a good basic understanding. I think it's not necessary like that, everyone works differently and you have to find what works with your way of living. I'm not so good at needing to focus on too many things at the same time, so I choose this way. But if you feel like you just want to start, it's okay if you just put as much time into it as you can and want to and slowly evolve in it. Wish you the best of luck and enjoy your journey! It's gonna be awesome! ✨️
Your video is well done and I found it interesting to follow your progress from the perspective of following the Milan course. I also enjoyed your narrative. Well done! I like your paintings!
Thank you for your nice feedback! Since filming vlogs is still new to me, it is super important for me to know what other persons actually think about it. I'm happy that I was able to give you something to enjoy🤗
Hi! I am on week one of the MP, just finished my bird, It also took me a while, I’m off to a very slow start but I’m enjoying the class and learning a lot. I will work on the shoe tomorrow. Your videos are very helpful, thanks for sharing your process.
Awesome! Which bird did you choose?:) the only thing that's important is consistency. So it's okay to take it slow. I wish you a lot of fun and am happy if I can help with these videos😊
WOW!!! I think your art is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm getting back into art, but I'm also a performing fusion guitarist down here in South West Florida & I did my 1st art show with my wife at the beginning of March 2024, but I have a very long way to go perfecting my art. One thing I noticed, no matter how you may see your art & any imperfections, other people will see it different, as long as the painting takes them somewhere special, I think that's the ultimate goal. I think your work is BEAUTIFUL & INSPIRING, keep up the GREAT work, I subbed to your channel and will support, Rock On - God Bless .
Wow that sounds like an awesome lifestyle that you have! I guess thats an endless road, there is always way to improve but that's the nice thing about it. True, for some people it might mean a lot. Thank you so much! I wish you the best on your journey. As long as you won't stop, you'll automatically become a great artist :)
I am so glad your sharing this I have been thinking of doing it also but want to know what it’s like. Will you be sharing things weekly as you go through the program on what it’s like ???
Thsnk you for the support. Im glad to help:) I sadly currently had some struggles to keep up with the course. Even though the next video will come soon, I can't promise to do it every week but will try my best 🙌🏼
Hello Saskia, I am also in the Milan Mastery program, week four. I enjoyed hearing your story, I hope to catch up with you on the community chat at Milan. Best of everything to you! Your work is beautiful by the way.
Just watched your first 4 videos I want to join the mastery program too. Just need to invest in myself - this was very helpful. Love both your birds but wow the chicken was good. Also the first male portrait you painted was phenomenal. Well done. Inspiring
I'm still not so far into the program so I really tell yet. But the techniques I learned in the first weeks alreadY taught me a lot. So far im absolutely satisfied with it😊
I think some people’s style should actually be defined as “eclectic” - I see some artists find a strong style that works for them & stick to that for years. I get bored doing the same thing more than once & love always trying different styles, so would hate to stick to one singular style. So I realised that although I definitely need to improve my techniques, my personal style is not any one style, but a whole range. Perhaps you are the same?
I can relate so much! I also feel like there are so many things that I want to try. I think even if artist find their style it should always be a goal to never stop experimenting and see if there is something to improve. But I also think that automatically you find your favorite ways to paint that can be find in any of your pieces after a while. For some it's more, for some less. Anyways the most important thing is that you enjoy the process. If you get bored it shouldn't be the way to stick to one style. The good thing about art is that there is no wrong or right about it☺️
@crisarriola5183 as I wrote above, if you get bored I guess it's a sign to try new things. You'll also learn a lot like this. The rest will happen on its own😊
looks like you are using linseed oil for your medium, I would avoid that for someone coming from acrylics, have u tried synththetic mediums like galkyd lite? its much much easier to work with and you still get the time to blend and move the paint around.
To work in layers, I use a mixture of linseed oil and thinner. I thought it's not possible to do that with galkyd due to the drying times of each layer and that it might Crack. Do you have any experience with that? For allaprima pieces I use liquin, which is similar to gakyd. But I'll definitely try galkyd lite too, thanks for your advice🤗
@@sjaeger_art galkyd lite drys overnight, u can apply the next layer once its touch dry, theres no issue with it, u can mix a little linseed oil with galkyd if u want to obey the fat over lean, if u work in pretty thin layers u shouldnt need to use oil , just galkyd will be fine. Liquin stinks too much IMO.
@vfxforge okay, that's new information for me. Thanks for sharing! For the art classes I'm doing right now, of course I'll also follow their instructions, but I'll keep this in mind and try it🤗 true I also don't like the smell of liquid😄 next time I'm gonna by galkyd if it's available here🙌🏼
I absolutely agree! And I'm also not doing it within a year...but the most important is to get as most out of it as possible, I think the amount of time doesn't matter that much☺️ wish you the best on your journey!

@@cherylannhunterart2023 it's a great decision! I wish you all the best and I'm sure that you'll improve quickly😊😊
I love the painting of the dancer you have on your wall. So beautiful & fluid. And I love your rooster too. Beautiful colours, textures & light

how do you call that measurement tool for proportions you had in the intro part?
