Great information. I have a quick question. What if I desire to preserve commercial formulation up to 2-3 years. In this case what should be the preservative and its quantity?
To increase the shelf life to 2-3 years, there are few factors to look at 1. Increase the percentage of Optiphen plus to 1.5% 2. Add antioxidants like vitamin E oil (0.1% to 1%) or rosemary extract (0.02% to 1%). 3. Make sure the production environment is sterile 4. Use non transparent containers for packaging 5. Please check the shelf life of the first batch after all precautions 5. Secondary preservatives can be used if needed as per the regulations in your region Hope that helps 👍 ♥️ Have a nice day 🤩
@@diy.personalcare Thanks it helped a lot. Can we claim this commercial formulation as organic. I mean are all these ingredients produces organically or we can say it synthetic product.
Hi This product contains Carbomer, Propylene glycol, Triethanolamine and Optiphen plus. These are synthetic compounds. So it is considered synthetic formulation. Hope that helps 👍 ♥️ Have a nice day 🤩
Thank you for watching and for your comments 💕 If you want to use Aloe Vera extract please check the label on your aloe vera extract for its concentration ratio. Aloe vera extracts vary widely in concentration (e.g., 10x, 40x, or as a 1:1 liquid extract) 1. If your extract is 1:1 (meaning it's the same as fresh aloe vera juice), that means you can't add any water. Use the extract directly 2. If it’s 10x concentrated, you would need 200ml of extract in 800ml of water 3. If it’s 40x concentrated, you would need 50ml of extract in 950ml of water So it all depends on the concentration of your Aloe Vera extract Hope that helps 👍 Have a nice day 🤩
Hi again Yes, you can add fragrance oil to aloe vera gel, but with a few important considerations: 1. Ensure the fragrance oil is specifically labeled as "skin-safe" or "cosmetic grade." 2. Use only a small amount (typically 0.1-0.5%) to prevent any potential irritation 3. Check if the fragrance oil blends well with your formulation. 4. If you're making aloe vera gel for commercial purposes, fragrance oils must be approved for cosmetic use. Hope that helps 👍 Have a nice day 🤩

Thank you for watching and for your lovely comments 🥰💕 Sure you can. Please consider following 1. Use Aloe Vera juice from fresh leaves in place of Aloe water from powder. 2. Take extra precautions for hygiene while preparing for commercial purpose. 3. Please check the shelf life of one small batch first and in case required, add extra broad spectrum preservatives to increase the shelf life Hope it helps 😊 Best wishes for your project 👍 ♥️ Have a nice day 🤩
Hi Thank you for watching and for your comments. 🥰 Yes you can use guar gum in place of xanthan gum to make the gel. But there are few differences 1. Guar gum produce a softer and creamier gel compared to xanthan gum. If you are aiming for a firmer gel, you may need to adjust the amount of guar gum used 2. Xanthan gum provides better stability over time. Guar gum can lead to separation if not used with other stabilizers. Hope that helps 👍 Have a nice day 🤩
Hi Aloe Vera gel typically has low pH, and guar gum can degrade in acidic environments. So adjusting pH with small amount of Sodium hydroxide or TEA (Triethanolamine) can ensure that guar gum maintains it's thickening ability without degrading over time. Make sure the pH reaches around 4.5 to 5 which is ideal for preservative (Optiphen plus) and guar gum both. These are not traditional stabilizers like emulsifiers or gelling agent but works as pH stabilizers. Please feel free to ask if you have any further concerns ☺️ I hope that helps 👍 Have a nice day 🤩
