    💥COPD [Full Guide] ➜ ➜ ➜ bit.ly/3e90oqs
COPD is a chronic respiratory disease that results in difficulty breathing due to the narrowing of the airways within the lungs. It is a progressive disease, which means that it gets worse over time. COPD is caused by exposure to irritants such as cigarette smoke, secondhand smoke, air pollution, and chemical fumes. The symptoms of COPD typically do not appear until middle age, and the disease progresses slowly over time.
    ➡️ Signs and Symptoms
The most common symptom of COPD is shortness of breath, which can happen even when performing simple activities such as walking or climbing stairs.
➡️ Some other common symptoms of this disease include:
    - Dyspnea
    - Wheezing
    - Chest tightness
    - Coughing up mucus
    - Fatigue
    ➡️ Causes
COPD is caused by long-term exposure to irritants like cigarette smoke, secondhand smoke, air pollution, and chemical fumes. Exposure to these substances damages the lungs over time and causes inflammation that narrows the airways within the lungs. There are a number of risk factors for developing COPD, including:
    - Exposure to cigarette smoke
    - Exposure to secondhand smoke
    - Living in a polluted area
    - Working in a job that exposes you to chemical fumes or dust
Genetic factors can also play a role, as people with relatives who have COPD are more likely to develop the disease.
    ➡️ Treatment
COPD cannot be cured, but there are a number of treatment options available to help manage the symptoms and slow the progression of the disease.
    ➡️ Some examples include:
    - Inhaled bronchodilators
    - Inhaled corticosteroids
    - Lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking and avoiding exposure to irritants
    - Pulmonary rehabilitation
    - Low-flow oxygen therapy
    - Noninvasive ventilation
    - Mechanical ventilation (in severe cases)
    ➡️ Types of COPD
    1. Emphysema
    2. Chronic bronchitis
    ➡️ Emphysema
Emphysema is an obstructive disease that causes increased lung expansion due to air trapping. It causes irreversible damage to the alveolar walls, which results in permanent enlargement of the air spaces distal to the terminal bronchioles. This makes it difficult for a person to exhale air out of the lungs.
    ➡️ Chronic Bronchitis
Chronic bronchitis is a type of COPD that is characterized by increased mucus production in the trachea and bronchi. This results in a productive cough that occurs for at least three months of the year for more than two consecutive years. Respiratory therapists are required to understand and recognize the differences in patients with emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and other obstructive lung diseases.

When I was 50, I was diagnosed with Mild COPD. A couple doctors could not figure out what caused it, because I do not live in an area with pollution (live in a country setting), and I am NOT exposed to chemicals with my job (office job), and I do not smoke. The only thing that I could think of was the first several years of my career, I worked in an office that allowed smoking. When you would walk in the front door, you could see a blue haze from the drop ceiling down about 4 feet. One doctor said, OH NO, second-hand smoke would not cause it. I begged to differ with him on that. I found that when I would exercise, my lungs would feel like they were burning. I started doing mild Pilates and taking a respiratory Chinese herb supplement. This seems to help me. The last diagnostic test I had, the report came back that my COPD had actually IMPROVED, and I was no longer classified with Mild COPD. I am 61 YO.

@@thehilarious1529 This is a dietary supplement called CONCO that was developed by Dr Tei Fu Chen, who immigrated to the US, many years ago. He learned ancient Chinese Herbology from his grandfather when he was a boy. Some KEY ingredients in Conco are; Chuan Xiong Root, Golden Bell Fruit, and Bamboo leaf, and several other minor ingredients. The Conco supplement is designed to address the body’s respiratory system with “metal element” herbs. I purchase Dr Chen’s Conco from his company, as well as several other targeted supplements. If you are interested in learning more, I can refer you to where I buy his products. Nothing is a cure. The best we can do is take things and do things to support and strengthen our respiratory system.

Has whole-body vibration been studied to see if it improves pulmonary function? I know that vibration is used in respiratory therapy and that whole-body vibration has been shown to strengthen the vascular and musculoskeletal systems. It seems logical that it would help individuals manage symptoms.

Can anyone who has been diagnosed with COPD confirm for me that with the difficulty breathing you can wind up with for lack of a better term a full body vibrating feeling (no limb shaking) it can feel similar to a panic attack but almost as if it was inside your body not your mind

I had a terrible pneumonia last march. Needed hospitalization. My job requires strict physicals, so they wouldn't let me perform my job because in the follow up spirometry 6 months later showed "copd."
I am a Lake Placid Ironman completer (3 months after leaving the hospital despite it taking over 7 months to be fully recovered), been an amateur athlete my entire life and I'm under 40. Never had weezing, chest pain, shortness of breath etc. No medication. Absolutely none of these things. BUT the spirometry showed the numbers that made it "COPD." I had it done with two different techs so i know it wasn't just one guy messing up. It aparently showed up when i did a CPEX exercise test too.
A doctor outside my field said the metrics diagnosing COPD are just difference from a z score, not actual dysfunction ( which is a dumb test if that is the case) and says he never would have given me the diagnosis considering all the factors. By my job only cared about the raw numbers.
I recieved a medical clearence with a waiver for this illness after some fighting, but I have absolutely no symptoms what so ever and am in the top 5% of my age group for v02max.
Does anyone know if there is an official diagnostic critera for COPD outside of spirometry, or is that literally the only test?
That diasnosis just doesnt make any sense given my life and abilities.
Edit: I read the article in the pinned comment. It still doesn't make sense that i have a deadly progressive lung illness with no symptoms whatsoever.

I am 19 years old and I have trouble taking breath 🫁 and my chest pains, today I couldn't sleep whole night. I searched it online and found this. I have a rough Idea, my home is near the road, and there is so much dust. Could this be the reason I have COPD?
    Can someone tell me 😢😢

I lived in a similar area with dust and car fumes. I believe that this contributed to my getting the disease. Also, a lot of mold was found in my apartment. Something to check into. I will be praying for you.

It cant be cured because it diseases the lung , I have met ppl who haven't smoked and still got it. Up above there's a comment and the man managed to help himself, there is also new evidence that our lungs can rejuvenate themselves if we look after them, with herbs , ive been diagnosed since 2011, and started to take Blackseed oil when I had a shadow on my lung and punomia and within a month I was better , without hospital care.
