Self-titled and EP were practically my roommates back then with how much they were in my life. I used to cry to my junior year crush while singing along to "U". They had a unique style too, kinda "electro-soul" mixing RnB vocals with dance-able electronic production. But after 2016, I grew out of hip hop/RnB as I started my indie/alt phase so I lost track of MJ.

I was thinking a lot about them being underrated. But I realised that the thing is not about that. The thing is about lots of people are so blind and unconscious deeply inside. The reason why MJ are not as much popular as we would like is that lots of people can’t just feel these emotions, that we feel during listening to them. They can’t hear it the way we hear and they can’t understand these feelings in these songs. few people are able to appreciate such refined art, and we, btw , are very blessed
