I appreciate all Grind Hard vids. But as someone who has followed you guys for years, multiple videos in a row on the same build are the winner for me. Even if it's just 15 minutes here and there. I love following a full build.
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo I really liked the way you did the CAD programming scene. It was a good job of making something boring fun to watch. It was an important part of telling the story. A+
Nice work on the steering wheel Ethan. Would be sweet if you laminated the grips on the steering wheel with wood much like a knife handle and your steel would be like the center Tang keep up the great content 😎👊
Wood on a pink barbie camper? Where did you get your artistic qualities? Sesame Street? I actually like that Idea after thinking about it. Go Sesame Street Power! lol.
i work as a cnc plasma operator. for removing the dross/slag off the cut parts just use a wire wheel on a grinder instead of the air hammer you were using. leaves a super nice finish and is very quick
The new grill an steering wheel look absolutely brilliant! I’d love to see some wood, or even aluminum scales on the wheel’s grips to thicken them up for added comfort (and bonus style points!). An epic build! Keep doing what you do!
The CAD work on the steering wheel and grill are incredible! They came out really nice the technicality of this build is just getting better with all your great new tools keep up the great work👍🏼🤩
You should make a sharpie holder for the cnc plasma cutter to check the pathing before you do a full cut. Then it would be a 2d plotter, and you could draw on paper or cardboard, cut that to shape, and check fitment.
I’ve always wanted a mag brake. Just haven’t been able to pull the trigger on the $ since I have access to traditional box and pan brakes. Great purchase! If y’all are planning on putting a cnc plasma table in your new shop hit me up for some info on what to buy and not to buy. Or if you want to build your own table (which would be some cool videos) I built one last year and would love to share plans and info on that too. Awesome videos as always!
Go with the hot pink paracord. You might want to add a small curved plate front and back where the hand grips are to give it a more round profile before starting. Paracord grips are great and soooo easy to replace if needed, and you never know when you'll need some on the trail.
That cad is pretty cool it's amazing what you can do with it. but I don't know if would be able to make it work. hell I can't even figure out my phone. I thought Ethan had massive fabricating skills before but he continues to amaze me. there probably isn't anything he can't fabricate. that tool for plasma cutting has some advantages over a regular plasma cutting table. and one of them that you guys probably really appreciate and so do I. is that it doesn't take up as much space. another AWESOME video no doubt.
As a Mechanical Engineer who uses CAD nearly every day, it's so cool to watch someone else do it for a project that's radically different from what I'm doing. I use Fusion 360, too! I prefer to use the Dark Sky environment within Fusion, though, as I the dark grey background is easier on my eyes than the bright white. If you've got any questions about Fusion 360, please feel free to ask! Also, even more so than when I commented on the last video, I'm EXTREMELY interested in that Arc Droid! Seeing it cut so precisely around the Barbie face was incredible! The plasma cutter overheating is because you're not using the Lincoln Tomahawk 375 with it in this video, right? I have the Tomahawk 375, so I'm just curious if it can handle continuous use on the Arc Droid.
Thanks man! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I’ll have to try the dark sky mode in Fusion 360! Yeah, it turns out it wasn’t actually overheating. The tip was just not tightened enough and was causing an error code, but yeah that was with our harbor freight plasma cutter, not the Lincoln.
Probably my favourite build right now. But I love how many times I’ve said that. Each build gets better and better. I hope that in years time you’ll be able to build them for customers and we can buy them online.
Nice video Ethan 👍. I use to run a plasma & oxy acetylene table, back in Sudbury Ontario. Some of the steel I was cutting, was 8 inc thick . Anything more we had to per drill , starting points. Then set the program, sit back and manage gas flow. A very satisfying job.
