It’s almost a throw back to the old school gentleman’s super coupe. Think of it as an Aston Martin that will start every day. I drove one and holy mother of god what a machine. It’s not blindingly fast but it’s quick, handles well, and is super competent at everything. Plus it’s not terribly common so you’ll get a few questions which is cool. Add to that it’s the car from Black Panther and you should be all over it. Buy it.

Johnny Chin I agree with you there. When I drove it and played with the touchpad a bit my thought was they tried to get a little too cute with that one. As James May would say, “It’s just not necessary.” But still, congrats. I loved that thing and after having a Lexus IS that I wasn’t too fond of (just personal preference, seemed a little heavy and underpowered) it made me rethink Lexus again. I wouldn’t say it’s a baby LFA but it’s got a little of the bloodlines.

I was deciding whether to buy the 2021 corvette, or the 2021 Lexis LC 500. The LC 500 won hands-down. Once you hear the V8 engine roar, and climb inside to pure high quality luxury; it's a done deal. I bought a new white 2021 LC 500 for $91,300.00 with a military discount. Bachman dealership wanted $94,870.00, for a used 2019!!!!!

Most won't buy it for that price but someone will. That's what qualifying customers is all about. Chevy Dude is all about holding gross. He doesn't seem like the type to force ya and waste your time, he will just fit you to another car if the price ain't right.
Those tiny shocks underneath the hood are there for pedestrians cushions during a front of impact.. it deploys during an impact to minimize a pedestrian injury
The LC500 is absolutely mind-blowingly gorgeous and I wanted to buy one. And then I drove it. I own a C7 Corvette and was very disappointed by the performance. I realize it's a GT, but driving it was underwhelming. I'm waiting for my C8 Corvette which based on what I've read will be more "civilized" of a ride than my C8, so will be more of a GT, but WITH the awesome performance - and of course it will have head-turning looks.
Lc500 is an incredible grand tourer with knock out looks. Your ask is @ $10k to high & probably not an easy sale even at the lower price. A 1 yr old can be had for $75k-$80k.
I adore corvettes and have owned a z06, but corvettes are a dime a dozen. How often you see an LC 500 not often because they are up there in price of a zr1, so I sure hope he traded for a zr1 because if not that was a stupid trade. Lexus hold their value whereas the only corvette that really retains its value is a zr1.
I have a Lexus ES 350, an amazing car !! Lexus IS by far the best car brand for quality and reliability! Still looking to get an excellent used C6 in about 4-5 years !
Chevy "Dude" really needs to learn his craft... The LC500 was a BIG splash when introduced and certainly cross shopped by some C7 buyers. Less time making word-salad videos and more time reading Mike and you'll be much more helpful to your audience.
Not a big fan of Chevy at all, but no salesman can know everything about every vehicle. I am a Honda fan boy, but I would much rather have this Lexus over any corvette, due to reliability and it will hold its value. Also consider Chevy and Ford are getting out of car production. What makes Chevy Dude great is the fact he is honest, and not just doing “Chevy is great videos”
Those lil thing under the hood are for the supplemental restraint system. They deployed and prevent the hood from going into the passenger compartment and possibly decapitating the passengers. It also lessens the impact on a person if you hit them with the front of your Lexus. Lol

I actually had a Corvette c8 on deposit the 2nd day after it was revealed. I ended up buying a red Lexus lc500 with tan interior. The reason is because I want to give Chevy time to sort out the kinks from moving to a mid engine platform. And I decided to wait for the z06 convertible ! I'm still keeping my lc500 as a daily driver. It's honestly the ultimate gt and fun comfortable and reliable car to have. But the Corvette z06 will be my weekend fun car 😉
I own a 2018 InfraRed with Toasted Caramel LC500. It is the most awesome car on the road....bar none! You've only touched on what it can do and yes it can NOW get Google Maps once you get the optional Apple Car Play. That's just $200 at the Lexus Dealership and it only takes an hour or so. This car has about six driving modes. Use the little knob up, behind and to the right of the steering wheel. Turn it two clicks up from Normal and you will get an idea of the performance capabilities of the car. Keep in mind, this is a car designed for every day use on public roads. I'm a huge Corvette fan and have owned a 1969 L-71 since 1970. I still drive and still adore this car. The Lexus however is a whole different animal. It is plenty fast doing 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. I has ten gears and can average over 30 mph on the highway. It's a joy to drive and own but unlike the new 2020 Corvette, it is not an out and out race car. Getting in and out is easy and of course the reliability is Toyota/Lexus so it can't be beat. Spend about a week driving this car and I'll bet you'd choose it over the new Corvette as your daily driver. For those watching this video, the car looks way nicer in person. It is stunning and worth every penny.
I must say I can’t understand why so many people are obsessed with seeing a carbon fiber weave under clear coat. It’s just not that interesting to me. I certainly wouldn’t pay extra for it. Different strokes for different folks.
I have a question for you sir. I had hail damage to my truck. I'm thinking of trading it in for a GMC 1500 AT4. Would the repair for this damage affect the trade in value? If so why? It wasnt in an accident. The damage was out of my control.

I just purchased a new 2LT Grand Sport for $65,000.00 and the only thing this has I am envious of is the blind spot indicators.
You can sell it back to any lexus dealer for a cool price too.. especially the east coast

yes if i was wanting to purchase your trade in i wouldn't pay top dollar because it has imperfections so its much harder to sell at value
Most of the repair was paintless. They replaced the hood with OEM and repainted.
@@toddschlicher if you are correct then ill just keep it. It was over 10k total. They repainted and blended the hood. Oh well.
