This is fascinating to me, I have suffered with gastritis and acid reflux since I was in my early 20s, mostly stress related, the doctors recommend “little and often”, it doesn’t work for me. Since seeing these videos, for the last week, I’ve been eating one meal a day, maybe 2 slices of whole grain bread, toasted and well buttered, mash an avocado up, spread it on there, half per slice, 4 poached eggs, 2 per slice, and the key ingredient is lots and lots of ground black pepper, honestly, if you are afraid of avocados, just do this, you can’t even taste them over the egg and pepper, fantastic wholesome meal, less than 15 minutes. Since I have learned to give my gut a rest for 3/4 of the day, and just give it a break and only one meal to think about digesting, it has healed massively, don’t believe what the doctors say folks, you regulate your own body, find your own way
I have had acid reflux since I was 17. Same exact situation as you. Gastritis too. I'm 32 now and eating once a day has reduced my reflux tremendously to the point Its nonexistent
That’s a very low calorie diet bro, your body need food. protein to repair the muscle, or maybe you don’t exercise just cutting to get lean. You can easily put in some chicken Breast more eggs, potatoes and sometimes yam to your diet. It will help you build muscle as you lose weight. I hope this helps.
Abs are built in the gym, but revealed in the kitchen. Six pack = low body fat + hypertrophy of abdominal muscles. You need both, not one of the two. You need to train your abs hard in every training session and cut at the same time. Proper nutrition + smart training + supplements (if you've got the extra money) will get you there. Fix your diet first: cut out all junk / processed foods and start eating whole, nutrient-dense foods that support metabolic / gut health. Use progressive overload and focus on multi-joint exercises. Sit-ups, leg raises, and crunches are some of the best exercises for building the abs. If you are a lifter seriously interested in aesthetics / performance / strength, go study Old-School bodybuilding. Old-School bodybuilders were ingenious physique architects. They had a profound knowledge of the principles of proper nutrition, smart supplementation, exercise science, and muscle adaptability. Combining Old-School bodybuilding wisdom with modern, evidence-based science is the best, safest, most effective way to achieve a strong, sexy, healthy, and aesthetic physique. "Vintage Physique" by George Kelly is a nice read on the topic.

Over the last year and a bit I lost 12kgs through exercise then my weight plateaued for a couple of months. I have been following Eddie's advice and have lost just under 3kgs in about 5 weeks. It works. My energy and strength have increased also.
I am 40 and fat. Over the years I have had periods of dieting and losing massive amounts of weight. Once I went from 18 st to 9 st, more recently from 17 st to 9.5 st. Now I am 15.5 st again. I was always obsessed with calories and ignored the micronutrient information regarding the foods I was eating. I would read the labels, but only from a calories point of view. Most of my exercise was cardiovascular I.e. jogging and cycling. I found I was always hungry and tired. I had days where I'd have to force myself to train. I had days where I felt light headed and dizzy. So maintaining these diets was impossible. I would eventually burnout and eat non foods rich in sugar and pile on the pounds. I treat every bit of healthy eating advice with a deal of scepticism, but what you are saying makes real sense to me. From now on I am going to avoid sugar as though it is the plague. I am going to read the ingredients label thoroughly. I am not going to worry about eating 3 or 4 meals a day. I am going to follow your advice. I'm not even going to allow my wife to call me sugar, not that she ever does..😂 Cheers Eddie!
I remember other health people say eat small things during the day rather than one big meal, i used to eat 2 massive meals a day for many decades but the last 6 months i eat much smaller meals twice a day & feel so much better without being lethargic! I was always nodding off around lunch time but eat before noon (big meal) then eat again about 6pm (Big meal). But it all changed with much smaller portions with various fruit & veg incl the odd tiny snack of banana, tomato or a carrot! I've cut out A LOT on bread too! I also don't eat ANYTHING till noon. This guy is spot on! But my weak point is still sugar,i have honey with sugar in my coffee thou 😞

But apples are low glycemic foods. So we should cut out apples because of sugar. But before that you mentioned to eat low glycemic foods. So no apples for a while or yes apples?

Calories in versus calories out. Basic thermodynamics, don’t listen to this guy it’s complete misinformation and he has never backed up any of his claims with any actual scientific studies done. @@user-sp8to6xh1q you will get real close by summer, if you stay consistent. Don’t snack in between meals because it’ll jack up your insulin which will make your body hold on to the weight. If you can’t resist your snack, just eat it at the end of one of your meals and be done with it. Nobody’s perfect. 👍
The quality of food matters more than calories in / calories out. Because you would technically get a better insulin response eating 3500 calories in mostly animal protein and fat than you would eating 1500 of primarily carbs

Maybe increase your protein and reduce the white carbs. If you have fat around your waste and you a Cyclist. There must be some imbalance somewhere. Are your portions too big? Are you drinking? Are you sleeping enough ? Can you add slight weight lifting to your training. Can you swap you sugary fruits to more blueberries? Can you have a heavy densed veggie soup with protein to have the calories you need for exercise. How often are you training. In your down time can you cut down on calories? Is this fullt time cycling?

@@garethlatcham5993 I feel bad for people who believe in his misinformation. Gotta love social media 😅
@@ot_decathlete398so its still all above calorie in and out? This eddie guy acts like if you eat unlimited amounts of " unprocessed foods " you won't get bodyfat lmao
@@zohaibshinwari8094 weight loss/gain is all about calories in calories out. Health optimization has other factors involved- nutritious foods, sleep, exercise, emotional wellbeing, etc. Eddie knows how to work the algorithm and it’s unfortunate how easily his misinformation is spread, and sadly believed
Eddie is this the same for women? because our hormones are more complex.....
what about the fake sugar in diet soft drinks ? what about that
What about for women
But apples are low glycemic foods. So we should cut out apples because of sugar. But before that you mentioned to eat low glycemic foods. So no apples for a while or yes apples?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Abbew what about water i was told over drinking water doesnt help decrease appetite and a guy who competes in food competitions said he drinks loads of water to increase his appetite before competition
is eating at 8am and 4pm ok ?
How big are the meals meant to be
The problem if I wait til 12 to eat is that I will need a shit in the office as I always shit after my breakfast.
You can train your body not to do this - check out Dr Karan, he has a useful video on poop lol.
How do you get enough in 2 meals
What about raw honey in moderation?
This is keto
If I’m only eating two meals, keeping a no carbs a day to lose fat . Do I still needed to meet high levels of protein intake. I’m 225lb
Heck no, you already got enough reserves at 225! If you’re trying to lose weight, eat LESS!
Calories in versus calories out. Basic thermodynamics, don’t listen to this guy it’s complete misinformation and he has never backed up any of his claims with any actual scientific studies done. There are literally hundreds of studies done on thermodynamics (calories in versus out) for fat loss. That’s literally the only way to burn fat. It’s proven
Sound good. I’m trying to drop down to 180 hopefully by the end of the summer or sooner .
No calorie deficit
The quality of food matters more than calories in / calories out. Because you would technically get a better insulin response eating 3500 calories in mostly animal protein and fat than you would eating 1500 of primarily carbs
Why would you want to limit insulin? I work in diabetes.....
FRUIT IS FINE! it comes with fibre. Fruit. Is. Fine.
Natural sugar is okay! Dates and fruits are allowed
So...im a competitive cyclist,i am 63 i am 85 kilos and carry a bit of fat around my waste, but am at the higher end of being reasonably good.So...how do i get energy to complete a fast 50 mile ride if i cant have any sugar or fruit? Yes too much insulin can give you bad sleeping patterns frequent urination etc etc but what is a happy medium for me?
Maybe increase your protein and reduce the white carbs. If you have fat around your waste and you a Cyclist. There must be some imbalance somewhere. Are your portions too big? Are you drinking? Are you sleeping enough ? Can you add slight weight lifting to your training. Can you swap you sugary fruits to more blueberries? Can you have a heavy densed veggie soup with protein to have the calories you need for exercise. How often are you training. In your down time can you cut down on calories? Is this fullt time cycling?
@@thehouseofmillie Hi...I train twice a week on weights nothing heavy just bodyweight stuff i.e. bench 85 kilo squat 85kilo deadlift 85kilo etc etc.I train times mainly on zwift in bad weather.Breakfast is banana strawberrys protein powder and almond milk in a mixer. Lunch 4 egg omelette with praws, dinner salmon or white fish baby potatoes and loads of greens mainly broccoli.Loads of water and always a ltr of electrolyte drink zero calorie. As i say i am at the top of my game for a 63 year old but could do with loosing 5 kilo without looking like death warmed up.
Thanks for sharing. I am not a Dr, but I would swap the Banana /Strawberry and just do Blueberry and Raspberry, beetroot (better insulin sugar than banana) with pure Almond butter ( blended almonds) and Chia seeds (soak overnight) NO PROTEIN POWDER!!
I would cut down the water significantly and increase my blueberry smoothie intake.(PURE BLUEBERRIES, NOTHING ADDED) You really do not need all that water. @@davemellor4697 Swap baby potatoes for sweet potatoes. Increase portion of Salmon and reduce greens slightly.

@@ot_decathlete398 which part of "don't eat processed foods" don't you understand? His advice is better than most others. It's common sense and has been around for a long time. You dont need a PhD to know and tell someone eat healthy foods and keep away from processed foods.

What if I workout in the morning I need to ear right?
No do it fasting.
I train at 5.00am so have a 1/2 cup white rice 1 egg, post workout 1 cup rice & red meat. That is about it in the way of carbs.
