The way this guy explains what’s happening on the board is absolutely phenomenal. It’s like he’s telling a story about a war and how armies were thinking. I’m also really high
i swear i’ve heard this somewhere
That good good making gotham sound like a historian
That’s what chess is
@@mitchgoldstein6720 yep, chess is a war of intellect and cleverness.
Im high too and i feel u fr. My jaw is just dropped while im getting mind blown by the comentary
I love how 200 elos always remind each other to take a hanging piece by drawing attention to it
me too, their just that good so they can sac a piece and still win
@@jackblad4047 sometimes they sac 2 peaces and finish the game in tal fashion
as a 200 rated(I really am)I can confirm this and I used it as a tactic too lol.
@@burgerp6510 lmaooo
Great sportmanship
I like the idea that 200 elo players' vision is based on movement.
Kind of like snake vision. Some species only see prey that moves. They don’t render discovered attacks.
200 elo moves are like the blue attacks from Undertale where they only hit you if you’re moving.
i've been 200 elo. this is correct
yes am 250
like the dinos
At low elo chess, whenever someone hangs a piece and the opponent misses it, you dont move the piece or defend it, because that would mean admmitting you hung a piece, and the opponent doenst take it because it would mean admitting that they missed it. What happens is that both players agree to continue as if the piece is defended.
😂
Low ELO player here, can confirm
LOL, that’s what I was thinking all my time playing chess against bad players 😅😂
Don’t steal top comments lol
@@KimCher007 don't be a jerk on the internet lmao
Most wild ending of any game I was rooting for both of them
Like Jordi, Jordi Wild.
And you won!
@@alanbravo483that guy is the worse
Little did Levy know... Adam actually PREMOVED the entire end of the game 🗿😎
Adam was just built different
GigaChadam!
that’s why he stalemated
That depends on if Adam wasted any time, if it did waste some then he didn’t remove.
@@garimadas4442😂
"thats called 200 elo gambit" LMAOOO
As a 150 Elo Super GM, I'm very embarrassed by this display of skill.
how does 1 get to your level
As an 2590 your correct
i love you for this comment
This announcing is incredible and the game itself was a masterpiece. An incomparable example of the art of tactics.
The ending is too much, I can't, that draw was beyond hilarious
Same for me bro I was expecting something much more complicated
Can we just appreciate that Gotham is a stand up comedian sitting down?
So a sit-down comedian
can we just appreciate that you’re stealing comments from other video's?
no we can't
can we just appreciate the fact you put an apostrophe in the word "videos"?
no
The fact that the last move almost was checkmate, and it landed on the only square on the entire file that would lead to stalemate, is just fascinating. Brilliant display of how serious of a business is 200 ELO chess.
Every time Gotham starts narrating the kind of match we are about to see, I worry it will be one of my games.
8/10 stare above average
xd the bots accidentally liked your comment instead of their spam ones anyway I guess I will like too
yeah
Lol I agree
Conclusión: Adam is Gigachad. He don't need the win nor the time.
The worst thing in the final of this game is that Black could instead put a ladder checkmate with three queens😮
im assuming the final queen was a mouseslip. up a couple more it was cm
Qd8#
Wasn't queen ti d8 checkmate? Why would he choose to stalemate the game?
I should've seen that ending coming, but I still slammed my desk in frustration. YOU HAD IT!
Like he literally just had to move his pawn 3 spaces to win, that's all he had to do and he still fucked it up
@@theunholybanana4745 He just needed to move his 2nd queen to the d8 instead of d6. d8 is covered by the first queen, so it's mate.
This man doesn't even care if his door is open revealing Bounty paper towels. He still does his best to entertain us and make us laugh.
all the grand masters been real quiet after this matched dropped
Seeing that stalemate hurts
Gotham, I'm From Brazil, And I want to thank you for your videos. You see, I'm using chess alongside my therapy to cope with my ADHD and learn to concentrate more. Your videos are for sure fun and engaging, and they're making me feel able to get beter at chess, and by extension my concentration problems.
Same here
Today’s stare was a 9/10 . Contemplative and pretty frightening

You should make a new series where you show off games from each elo increasing by 100 each time. You basically already made an 100 and 200 elo video
Levy makes me want to buy a chess set from the year 716 and proceed to consume it
"Chess is a hard game"
-yeah i felt that-
“A perfect chess game always ends in a draw”
The best part of low ELO chess is that it's utterly unpredictable drama. There will be carnage.
I love these high elo videos please never stop making them!
Thanks levy I’m now 100 Elo because of this video ❤
Hey GothamChess! I just watched your amazing video, and I'm truly impressed. You took a simple game played at a low level and turned it into a treasure trove of lessons. Your explanations were so easy to understand, and your passion for chess really shines through. I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge and inspiring the chess community. Your videos are fantastic, and I can't wait to see what you'll bring us next! ❤👍
Hahahaha up 22 points of material. That line KILLED ME
That twist stalemate at the end there is absolute gold lol
Hi Levy, I would just like to thank you. From an aspiring 400 elo chess player to now hitting 1600 elo, it’s been a crazy ride. If it wasn’t for your content I wouldn’t be here right now. So thank you
1600 elo howw! Amazing!
The fact that Levy can continuously pump out great content is amazing. Keep up the grind! 💪💪💪💪
Managing to find stalemate is actually more impressive than finding a checkmate there
"i don't understand this level of chess cause they're too strong" literally me
I thought he retired, but he kept going that’s nice
I don't understand this level of chess coz they're too strong 😂😂
I like looking the GM tag behind the 200 elos
Nah the way he said "HE DELIVERES THE FINAL BLOW, QUEEN D6, STALE MATE!" got me laughing so hard 😆😆
I cannot believe that someone added your words "And in this position I sacrificed.... THE ROOOOK!!" to the demo of a new game Levy!
The game is called "Magin: The Rat Project Stories" and your words are in the third mission after you order some meat from the butcher at the market!
You must see this!!
I'm going to need to see this.
can't blame him, he was at 0.00
“Your water is contaminated”
-Levy 2023
Bro really went from sacrificing the rook
To sacrificing the look💀
Today I had an absolutely horrible and sorrowful day but your content is so good that it lifted me up. I appreciate you very much levy. 15 year boy from India❤❤❤🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
literally Qd8 was mate bruh
This was thrilling. Unreal how good you are at shout casting low elo chess
The stalemate is fucking gold. What an ending. Thanks Gotham.
I got my first brilliant today! As a 700 elo I can confirm this is genius
I got mine at like 350
I got 2 brilliant moves in a row at 300. get on my level
@@lilchukwu brilliants become significantly easier to obtain the lower your elo
@@pomuf_eah. It’s ridiculous how easy it is to get a brilliancy. My first brilliancy was at 400 and it was because I took a free pawn
i had a brilliant move at 100 elo
I was today on my first ever turnament, im 600 and there were people with 800-1800 and i got 3 wins from 7 games, i was placed 47th from 77 players :) im happy
What a gorgeous stalemate
It's been a while since Levy nailed the commentary like this
Great video Gotham, really enjoyed your 100 elo smurfing video, and i was wondering if you would ever decide to play at the elo levels of 400-600? anyways thanks for being a great chess teacher
He does speedruns sometimes with a new account and demolishes 400-600 ELO in like 10 moves.
bro, u released a video 18 hrs ago, its amazing how u create so good content on a game that is hundreds of years old
Adam is playing in between moves like they’re forced

Levy pls do brilliant high elo chess analysis or chess history coverage, I really like those videos.
Still here after an hour because he didn’t tell me to get out of here
That stalemate was gorgeous
Not sure what to do, he didn't tell me to get outta here.
Now we know how stockfish feels reviewing our games
“AND QUEEN D TO D6 STALEMATE” killed me 15:51
I swear man 😂😂
About 8:35 in the video: Ne2 does do something, even if it's not a great something - it blocks the Bishop's view of d1, giving the ability to long castle without losing a piece, since Nd2 can be captured by the Knight on c4. I'm not saying it's a great move, but it does accomplish something.
Great videos btw!
Enjoyed the straight-to-the-point analysis
Hello Gotham! Your recent video was amazing and your love for chess is truly inspiring. Keep up the fantastic work!
I competed in my first tournament and won 4 out of 5 games and I learned everything from your courses and videos
P.S. I am 12
5:15 - 5:22 sounds like a orthodox prayer lol, like the intonation
I miss the “Get out of here!” You can’t leave us hanging like that Levy.😂
Can we just appreciate the effort Levy puts into our balls 😭❤

Adams a gigachad to play the whole endgame by premoving respect🗿
I used to think chess was a nerdy board game until i found Gotham Chess. I love this dude
1:50 this is just a taste of what goes on in his head while watching chess
That’s 200-300 ELO chess for you. You can be up 2 queens and still manage to stalemate.
I honestly thought levy was going to say " and Queen to D8 Checkmate" 💀
I seriously thought Qd8# was coming too. I definitely got blindsided by what actually happened.
what a rollercoaster of a game
“Adam delivers the final touch”
the 200 elo gambit is the best
levy should do a vid on it
5:34 - "Our protagonist, Adam, gets a little bit scared of the disturbance of the arrival of the horse" is an amazing sentence.
i love it everytime the video loads and i spend 20 seconds staring at levy
Can’t help it, but I just love these. The sarcasm invokes painful bouts of laughter.
I love when He speaks so calm
😂😂😂There should be stand up comedy shows with chess theme by the chess player!!!😂😂😂
the stalemate got me good lool

1:34 Shame... This is known as the Krejcik Variation of Alekhine's Defence
Nothing could’ve prepared me for the last move
this guy at the end has a voice that's sounds like a youtube video about the gold rush.
I love watching my level of chess i paid a very similar game as my second game ever. i did not even know what a stalemate was but the other guy had 3 queens and it got a stalemate it was amazing
“The lowest elo is 100 by you” (X) Miss
Never expected the stalemate 😂
Amazing. So close to Qd8 mate. So close, yet so far. What an incredible game.
