Looking really good Peter! While those shingles may have been tedious, the effect is stunning! Waiting impatiently for the next installment, thanks for sharing-John
I agree with you about the shingles looking stunning when they are finished. At this stage, I thought they were a little bland, but after dry-brushing some gray paint on them, they really popped. They are a little over-scale and not the correct proportions, but most likely, only a building contractor would notice that.
Thanks. Yes the customer was pleased with it (although he asked for more weathering) and ordered two more. I will weather all three at the same time to keep it consistent since they will be close together in the same scene.
Great Video, Thanks for taking the time to make these! Thanks for letting Duke get in there. We have a Dachshund, We nick named him "The Inspector" Very nosy fellow, he has to know exactly what everyone is doing even if its above his eye level.
Yes, the shingles did take a while (about a third of the total time for the build). By the time I did the porches, I was getting a bit faster, but it was still a long process. It took an hour to shingle the front porch, which is about half as long as it would take me to shingle the full-sized equivalent.

Duke thinks that's his new dog house! Looking good Peter. I'm sure the customer will be pleased. Cheers, Dan

Funny. "Eye level" for a Dachshund would be about "ankle level" for the rest of us, wouldn't it :-)
These where built for a customer, and yes you did a fantastic job on each one, l appreciate your time and doing this for me.
Yes, that's right. I was sub-contracted by another layout builder, although I never met the original customer. Glad you like them.
absolutely brilliant cant wait for next week thank for sharing it with us .....Chris :0)
The house is looking great - the size would drive me crazy.
