- The Ancient Ram Inn needs no introduction, this infamously haunted building has been on the list for a while now so after 1 year of Ghost Theory we thought it was about time to check it out. We went into this investigation with our skeptical minds so we weren't being influenced or scared off by activity claimed by other investigators.

You know, guys, I just want to tell you that we'd watch you even if there is no activity because we love YOU. In my experience as a ghost hunter, they don't perform on command. It's better to just let things be as they will and if you keep talking to them eventually they'll make themselves known. Some days are better than others. But don't worry. We'll be here no matter what happens.
That's exactly why I watch them. Normal true ghost hunting , there is not always paranormal. Doesn't work that way. I love how they try to debunk everything. Some they do and some is just plain paranormal.

I've never had a strong feeling about this place. I think you were really on point in saying that the entire house has been set up to psychologically prime people into believing they're sensing and hearing things that aren't paranormal at all. I've never seen a place so "notoriously haunted" so quiet like that.... Kinda makes u wonder if it's all just hype. All bark and no bite. I think some places are just way overrated and people come in expecting insane activity and experience nearly nothing. Maybe the ghost is on holiday 🤣🤣🤣

Well said! It would have been so easy for them to have made a video here like other "investigators" have where there's a bunch of activity, but instead even though none of that happened they still posted this video showing that nothing really happened on this night.
I watch other channels with the mindset that they are entertainers and the activity is staged, but GT I watch because they are genuine and when they catch things that are unexplained it's not because they're faking it.

I love the way you blokes approach each investigation. Even if there's not a great deal of activity happening, you stick with the footage you have. Its just so refreshing to see an investigation guys how it should be . on how you are sitting there and listening feeling your surroundings. Don't ever change what you are doing. 100% brilliant
I always find it funny that a tv crew can go in there and record a thousand different things, but when honest ghost adventurers go in, they find nothing out of the ordinary. This is also one of the reasons that when you guys DO find things, I tend to take them more seriously. I've never been so freaked out as when you were in the woods in that one episode and the rempod was going off and people were shooting you. Never got scared like that from any other crew.
I think drop kicking creeping ugly dolls across a room should be made an Olympic sport.
This place has been on my wishlist for a number of years! I still live in the hope that one day owner John finds the ability to communicate spiritly with fellow investigators.

I have to give em all a second watch when I can give my fULL attention & with the headphones on 'cause these boyz catch a good amount - but they're so sciency (yeah, i know. I just made that word up) BUT seriously, they catch a hell'ova lot o stuff! Specially evp's!
Not finding activity proves you're genuine. I've said it before, I've been working with the paranormal for about 30 or better years. Spirits don't show up just because you want them to. I've been to a few places that were suppose to be really haunted but I never got so much as a tap or even a creak of the building settling. The difference between myself and you is that I have had many encounters therefore I know they are real. This is something you've probably not really had the opportunity to experience. That cold feeling you experienced however is something that you can feel right down to the bones isn't it
Great investigation. ARI seems to be dying out. Too many investigations have been done there and the energy seems to be residual in nature now. You guys did great asking all the different questions and keeping it interesting and us engaged. Thanks!!!!
I used to live about 8 miles from ancient ram inn. We’ve done several ghost hunts in different places and actually found the ancient ram inn to be the most inactive place we’d been to. We didn’t get any activity at all, the only activity my mum got was John humphries (the old owner) wanted her to spend the night with him 😂😂
Grew up about 20 miles south of here. It's Gloucestershire's 'Borley Rectory' equivalent along with Woodchester Mansion. Whenever you hear of Ghost stories of Gloucestershire, its always these two. Michael Wood is also haunted, its on the M5 behind Michael Wood Services. Mass burial for the soldiers that fought and died in the Battle of Nibley Green, also haunted.
No offense to anyone that does what you do. I love watching all the videos of people trying to find answers about the afterlife. But I just had a thought on a spirit side of things. With all the traffic that that place gets I just had a funny thought about a spirit standing at a window looking out and then saying, "crap, here comes more people". Maybe that's why sometimes you really don't get much.🤣🤣🤣💜💜💜 Thanks for everything that you do, be safe!

I've seen other youtubers desperately try and pretend things were happening on their visits, but you can tell it's just fake actions to try and get more clicks.

I’ve watched a few different ghost hunting channels and I find the UK take on the genre so refreshing. How many times can you watch some American kids walk around a place going “that was LITERALLY so scary” before the eye rolls come… nice to see people who can eloquently describe a location and events.

I respect the fact you've booked this place for a good session but, to be honest, the owner has literally added too many new things to the place. If you was to look at it 4 years ai, there was a ton of activity with less clutter. I honestly think bringing in more crap, dolls etc, it's made the place less active. The last 2 years the amount of activity has probably dropped more than 75%. The reason I say this, I've seen the same people return if nont once a year, but 2 and 3x a year, with or without others tagging along. Then you have those who appear once and their other videos they use the same bogus bologna to entertain their followers. I've since stopped following that person as each video was just in a different place with the same sounds, the same actions and words. Boring! An to think he travels all over the world thanks to his patrons..smh. Then we have you guys who try so hard and even take the time to debunk..an that's why I respect your booking, but the owner should actually remove 90% of the objects they've put in. There wasn't a need for all the extra items 4 and 5yrs ago and they just keep adding more and more. They need to go back to the original pieces, remove all the extra seating and tables as it's just to me what I call a big cluster-fuck. I've watched people fall, trip so forth an do on. Open areas for spirits to move freely about as well as people like yourselves. Maybe adding shite brings in more people, more money. But with all do respect, 8 people I know of that's passed through there at the same time, too crowded and had not even 1 bit of action. Just my opinion on the whole deal. xx
I agree, I went when John was alive and sat and had a conversation with him. He was a very eccentric person and only lived in the one room downstairs. He had nothing to do with his daughter but when he died and she got hold of it and has really made it touristy it’s lost it’s original state and uniqueness. Same with Bodmin Jail. I’ve had paranormal experiences in both Ram Inn and Bodmin Jail but that was many years ago now.
Sometimes it just seems best to not say a word. Silence is golden.

Enjoyed watching guys. I've wondered just how much this place had been hyped up. Not to say it isn't haunted, just that it doesn't always happen. I've watched several other channels who have gone there, but they were ones who fake their videos. I know you guys wouldn't do that, so I wanted to see this one very much. Every Time you ask a question use a digital EVP recorder to record any replies you may get that you cant hear audibly so to speak, you may just catch something you missed on the recorder 👻👻💕💕

It was a few years ago I visited the ram inn. It’s seems a lot more tidy now, with that first room as your enter the building being a complete mess. It was the paid ghost hunt, with lots of people there, and I’d say you spend the first few hours getting used to the strange look of it, inside and out, but after that, I dunno, nothing really happened during the tour.
Great video as always, 100% genuine whatever you do. I've been there before and nothing happened whatsoever, it was interesting looking around but I'm still not convinced its anywhere as haunted as some say. Even with little to no evidence caught, your videos are always some of the best out there. You're both hilarious and I'm so pleased I came across you on TH-cam a while ago 👻❤

The owner John even got to the point at 1 time were he was getting fed up with it.

Could it be that with the absence of loud noises from the cars that would normally be there the residents of the house are actually at peace a bit and taking advantage of the long hoped for Quiet? Of course that is if they even hear or see the sounds outside of whatever plain and boundaries of it that they are “in”. It’s so difficult to talk about because of the multitudes of different variables and possibilities that it’s hard to stick to (or even have) just one theory to support. we went and had the big table downstairs lift up and slightly shift by itself. Also managed to interview people who knew who lived there before john. Will say not once did you try and wind it up this is key to get crazy activity in places

I’ve never seen an investigation at this location that didn’t turn up any evidence or any kind.
