That was me you passed at 10:12 lol. This was my first ever hare scramble, I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. I just bought this bike (2018 Beta 300rr Race Edition) approx. 2 months prior to this event. I cannot wait to do more events!
Incindio13 what do you think of the Beta, and where did you get it? I'm thinking of doing a BYOB for 2019. Really love my Ktm , but I'm 5'7 and the Beta's smaller size is really appealing to me.
I love it, it is perfect for what I like to do. I am new to all of this so I am still learning a lot. I am now just getting comfortable with the power of this bike, I came from a Yamaha XT250 so there was a big difference. I did the BYOB program from their website and then picked it up from Iron Pony Motorsports in Westerville, OH. It took about 2 months from the time I made the order to actually picking it up.

Shawn McGinnis this is my first full season racing on a bike, switched over from riding/ racing fourwheelers since I was little
For what its worth I just watched my vid when I passed you and it seems to confirm what I hear in your video. Best I can tell your bike is running a bit on the rich side. You are puffing a decent amount of smoke and it sounds a bit gurgly in the midrange. Hard to tell for sure just from a vid.
Shawn McGinnis yeah I'm pretty sure it's the jetting, gunna try An make do with it till winter An do a complete rebuild then
Cody schlenz Cool hope it gets running better. I'd bet one position leaner on the needle would clean it up a lot. So what made you switch from 4 wheels to 2 ?
Shawn McGinnis I'll adjust it An see what happens, an I started to get bored with 4 but didn't want to lose interest in the sport so I figured I'd try 2 wheels An see what happens , an it's way differant but I'm definitely learning An enjoy doin it
Cody schlenz Awesome! I've never seriously done anything on quads, but I've played around a bit and you're right it is very different! Like I said on one of your other videos you are doing really well with controlling traction and keeping drive up some of the hills and not just aimlessly pinning the throttle. That puts you a step above a lot of the other guys in your class ! ! !
