I used to own a 2006 EVO IX GSR bought it brand new back In March of 2007.. Paid $31k for it brand new back then.. recently last year a brand new EVO IX MR sold for over $140k.. wow
HOLY CRAP! Traveling to SoCal next week.. Will check the dealership out and provide some feedback / critique on what I see. I unfortunately don't have the disposable income to to afford even one of these. Though, if I did pick one of these up, I for sure wouldn't add more miles on these things: purely collector.
@@willsanders187 Well, saw the cars. Well... saw *two* of them. The TI and white ones. The red one is still stopped offsite. Crazy that they really do exist. Here's the deal. The red one is slightly cheaper since it has about 20-something miles on it. The Ti one... 8! 8 miles on the odo! Apparently, this Ti one was the same one that supposedly sold in 2017. For some reason the sale didn't go through, and so here it is again. I asked why they wanted to sell this now, and they said "no reason. It's just time." There have been offers, and supposedly close to finalizing a deal. One buyer, either from AZ or NY, is looking at both the TI and red ones together. Man, that'll be quite the catch.
South Coast Mitsu put those in the warehouse when it came out , to hold onto when demand is super high in hopes of getting top dollar. They've done this before.
Evo lovers dream right there. If I had the money I'd definitely grab one. Great videos man. I have an 03 with an mr swap that's pretty decent for the year. I put a short vid of it on here.
yeah wish i never got rid of my 03 evo black with black rims full bolt one was putting down 338 whp and 339tq then i had a 14 evo x and that was ok i just got rid of it for an sti but i miss the evo 8
will sanders yes it was never posted up for sale , when I ask employees if it’s for sale they say if the price it rights. I believe he has a couple more of them too
The one that was on action never sold . Someone on the socalevo Facebook page ran a carfax on it .all the vin numbers match and the car still belongs to the dealer.
The red one is at my local dealer. I always admire it when I take my car for service. The owner bought it when it came out and it has never left the show room. They even changed locations and still he never drove it. I know he sold another one he had for a lot of money.
I wonder if the same dealer has a few evo x parked to release in another 10 years or so as well. But if the evo 11 is indeed coming. Then the 8s will pretty much be free, the 9s and Xs will drop down to about half what they are worth now.
@@willsanders187 in the short term the 9 and x will have a pause in price increases. If the internet hates the new evo 11 which is rumored to be powered by renault-nissan then the 9 and x will continue on as theyve been doing. We'll see in a few years.
well Evo 11 inbound maybe ? ? :P :P :P i know @will sanders that you dont believe that the 9s will be depreciated by a new evo, but i ll go ahead and put that comment in. keep up the good work bro.
Who talks about the investment value of something like an Evo 9. This car is still a weapon and I think plenty of people will pay a premium just to experience this car.
Bought an evo 9 for 34k with 14k miles about 6 months ago. I love it and want to build it to about 700-900...butt....idk if it would be worth it. I can build another muscle car for half the price..but idk. I love my car. Is it worth it.
Monetary speaking modding isn’t ever worth it. Would depend on what you want if all you care about is high hp straight line stuff then no an Evo isn’t worth it
If I had stupid amounts of money I’d buy them drive them each once a year put them in a garage and then get a evo 8 shell to build and beat the shit out of
@@misael1396 , have you ever driven an ///MR? It's actually super fun and super quick when shifting. It's funny becuse my car is stock and my friends with a heavily moded EVO X GSR (like 10k under the hood) BARELY beats me from 1st to 3rd gear. The SST Twin Clutch is the reason, and this is why it's becoming so popular just like those Nissan GTRs, and even the new Corvettes C8 are following the trend. There is NO way people can shift so quickly! 👍
Worth 40-45k in my opinion still incredibly relevant cars
I wish I'd buy one
I agree 100% if I had the money I’d buy one to drive just for the experience and garage the other as a show piece.

It was the GG MR right? I think it was selling for 100k?

I would appreciate any help & advice 😍
the UK has cooler Evo's than we ever got here...

The grey one that was up for auction that went for 138 the person didn't pay and its the grey one you see there.
well he can have a big discount now
So now I know there are 3 evo 9s in the world that haven't had their brake paint completely shit the bed yet.

I’m curious to know if it even smells like new inside jajajaja 💀
Haha new car smell is the plastics and glue so yeah probably

yeah but this isn't for race wars
Evos are ok, cheap paint always chipping off, body dents too easy especially the roof, fun in the snow.
paints thin... roofs are sometimes aluminum
i wanna get one but i have to pay off my slowbaru BRZ 😭😭
haha
I live like 5 hours away from this shop

Was looking on autotrader the other day and seen these. Was like Wtf 80k for a Evo? Your nuts
