Indeed. In fiction a lot of Asian (especially Japanese) characters are awesome and fanxy with their martial arts skills, and non-asian oftenly has mediocre skills and less impressive stories. And to be fair, Asian fighters exists a lot and thet can fight. But it doesn't mean westerners are bad fighters. In fact, a lot of Asian fighters has used some moves from western boxing, wrestling and savate (Frenxh kickboxing) and improved their own Oriental martial arts too.

Gohan can still came back, Hell, at least Gohan chose not to be a fighter and there are people who are in charge of the anime want Gohan back in the spotlight, They got Ali Junior fighting like he wasn't prepared to die, but went into the Season 2 tournaments against fighters who would have tried to kill him. Are you telling me that Junior wasn't informed of what kind of fighters these people are? His Dad didn't try and say anything to him ? This whole arc was nonsense and the people who excuse it need to understand that sometimes good writers make bad choices.

I just started watching this on Netflix 2 months ago. The Ali Jr stuff pissed me off. Jr got that WWE booking build them up to a certain point and then cut there legs underneath them. Jr vs Baki was Kofi vs Brock Lesnar all over again. Also off anime topic this should be the rise and fall of the Black Man once great now we're fodder.

He initially thought if he beats Baki he can face Yujiro, however he understood even if he beats Baki he will never be on Yujiro league, and tells Baki that he must train harder and learn more martial arts, cause if he gave Baki a hard time he will never beat his father. As for him he will officially retire but watch Baki as he progresses in his fights in the sidelines. An Ali Jr in the end got the respect of his father as he takes a next plane back too the US after apologizing to Kozue. an thats how i will right him that way he and Baki will end in good terms and they had a good fight.
Keisuke itagaki has a history of disrespecting professional athletes, personally I think he should stop, reason 1 is because it is hurtful and unnecessary, reason 2 is if he keeps doing the things he is doing, he might end up disrespecting the wrong person, and they might run up on him and try to beat his ass.
No, Kotal is still considered to be strong in MK11 and got beat by people who had fighting history. Ali Junior last scene is the man crying and is him getting jumped when crippled.

To be fair, Jr didn’t understand that the other fighters in the Baki universe were prepared to fight to the death. That ignorance is his tragic flaw. And from what I heard, Baki didn’t let Jr get any hits in the manga because he knew that just one hit from Jr would take him out. Therefore, Baki may have won but he was aware of how dangerous Jr was. But yeah, they did Jr dirty though.

Same, when i saw him i was like ohh snap is this dude gonna be a top rival too Baki. He's got the ability , the backstory and potential, too go toe to toe against Baki. Yet sometime after his introduction he got beat down hard, i originally thought, after suffering those L's before his fight with Baki made him learn from his mistakes and gave Baki a run for his money.
And even if he were too loss too Baki, make him give Baki one of the toughest, most entertaining fights in the series. It was painful too watch tbh, and i was like "Thats it seriously!! thats it???"

If i were too give him a back story it would be the same except he ain't a jobber and more honorable, his a guy that both respect and fears Yujiro Hanma. An wanted too beat him, and tells Baki after their fight that he only started that thing with Kozue, just so he can fight the Son of Yujiro one on one. He initially thought if he beats Baki he can face Yujiro, however he understood even if he beats Baki he will never be on Yujiro league, and tells Baki that he must train harder and learn more martial arts, cause if he gave Baki a hard time he will never beat his father. As for him he will officially retire but watch Baki as he progresses in his fights in the sidelines. An Ali Jr in the end got the respect of his father as he takes a next plane back too the US after apologizing to Kozue.
an thats how i will right him that way he and Baki will end in good terms and they had a good fight.
Keisuke itagaki has a history of disrespecting professional athletes, personally I think he should stop, reason 1 is because it is hurtful and unnecessary, reason 2 is if he keeps doing the things he is doing, he might end up disrespecting the wrong person, and they might run up on him and try to beat his ass.

No, Kotal is still considered to be strong in MK11 and got beat by people who had fighting history. Ali Junior last scene is the man crying and is him getting jumped when crippled.

Also check out an episode of Dragonball, child Goku making an absolute fool out of a character who was obviously Bruce Lee. I think this instance is a tad bit racist in my opinion...

To be fair, Jr didn’t understand that the other fighters in the Baki universe were prepared to fight to the death. That ignorance is his tragic flaw.
And from what I heard, Baki didn’t let Jr get any hits in the manga because he knew that just one hit from Jr would take him out. Therefore, Baki may have won but he was aware of how dangerous Jr was.
But yeah, they did Jr dirty though.
Ali JR's rise and fall is the prime example of the writing pitfall trope, "Badass Decay". It may be the worst one ever and I haven't gotten that far into Baki the Grappler to witness his fall. I only saw his rise.
