This is so true... Even though he got annoyed at the crowd for not being quiet, and made a number of snipey comments to the crowd at various stages, I honestly agree with you
My oldest brother killed himself to this. We were both Pumpkins fans and I always wondered why this song resonated with him until I read the lyrics. My brother Thor’s life really paralleled with Billy’s life. We have a brother of special needs, a “Spaceboy” and looked after him. I feel he felt his suicide was an act of love even though it was the wrong choice. He always called me “Rock” and that’s what I do. Even in my sorrows I have to choose life... and I shall be free of the voices inside me. Love.
My youngest brother suffered from mental illness, including depression. I specifically didn't turn him on to this song because I worried how he might take it.
People keep commenting on how Billy is smiling weirdly throughout this entire show but if you actually watched the entire thing, his little brother was finally there to see it live and Billy felt proud for the first time ever.
god i wish i had a chance to go to this concert, siamese dream has got to be one of the best albums ever produced. i gotta work on that time machine of mine
I saw them four times for Siamese it was great every time. Twice at a little dive bar before they got big those are the absolute best, once at the Apollo and once at Lollapalooza. I wish I could have seen some of their later album concerts but I was a refuge from the mid-90s to the mid-2000s
The music sounds so good it's almost like I can physically taste it, there's so much color and richness in their sound, fuckin' unbeliebible dude. No doubt the best song they ever made.
To love a new band and this down Pop Rock age, also go to the alternative movement Rocks you have the stones. And other bands moving upstairs to The stardom of best in popularity. Get it now and Stick with the life you bravely define. This can't be miss informed. Be what our lives be the free world.
Siamese Dream was the soundtrack to my cross country summer + drive 1995 with my trusty Doberman, Queler. Personal top 15+/- complete album productions. Goosebumps still.
I'm in that pit, somewhere. One of the best nights of my life. It's easy to look back and slag them off, but the music holds up, and at the time this was the best show in town. I'm grateful to have been there - it was awesome.
SP was really at their peak in their prime at this time. I saw them at Lollopwlooza in93-94 for Pisces Iscariot that was an album of B sides they released before Melancholy. They were really great live and Billy got upset with the crowd at this concert too. He went offstage and people started leaving thinking it was over and he came back on and played another half hour. All the people in the back were able to move closer to the stage including myself . It was actually a good thing Billy got angry at the crowd ultimately.LOL
Saw them in 1993 and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Saw them at Lollapalooza in 1994 and was possibly the worst show I’ve ever seen. The first show was truly amazing though.
This song about a sinner who is deeply sorrowful and repents and finally accepts Jesus as a personal savior and transcends into salvation!! Not suicide! It’s bleak at first but the story of the song ends with freedom into which the antagonist is able to take control.
"Bleed in your own light" is about Kurt Cobain, in a way, as Billy's expressing wanting to be able to write his own story and not one swayed or influenced by Kurt and Nirvana's Nevermind tidal wave in 1991. I'm not sure anyone's ever been better at writing more powerful lyrics to BEGIN songs than William Patrick Corgan. "Dream of your own life" indeed. Beautiful song.
@@MrHamthepig I came off the road in 2020 after 26 years front line service...I had had enough...still work for the City...two years to go. Good luck to you.
Honestly the Pumpkins were one of my all time favs growing up but their Lollapalooza performance in which I saw them was vastly disappointing. THIS show is the one I'm would have died to see
i've yet to see a festival performance from them i really enjoyed on here. bunch of great concerts and televised performances. apparently bad at festivals.
Billy needs to walk with some books on his head. His posture sucks. But he looks so happy. I love watch them live from this time period. I had the tape. From Tower Records. I wanna see D'Arcy, wtf.
i think this is the happiest i've seen him on stage
Probably just woke up from that sleep
This is so true... Even though he got annoyed at the crowd for not being quiet, and made a number of snipey comments to the crowd at various stages, I honestly agree with you
His brother was in the audience for the first time plus I think couple songs on this album are about him.
Billy, what a diva. Lol it's weird.....in a good way. I guess. 😕
He knew how tight they sounded! One of their best earlier shows.

It was pretty good. My buddy had a bad trip, so we had to leave early. Still a fond memory, unique sound.

No anti-depressant is strong enough to withstand this beautiful band
Billy Corgan: Challenge accepted.
This song is an anti-depressant to me

Well said dude
This version of Rocket is perfect.
Except for the singing I agree.
The Brickventurer it is PERFECT. even Billy looks happy! ❤️❤️🤘

The overlapping lead guitar parts in this song are simple, but really cool at the same time.
Its music...way more than simple...
Billy looked like he had so much fun in this entire set, love to see it

Rodney Crotts Try “Pain” - Jimmy Eat World

That'd be Geek USA for me
Chamberlain is so underrated
I don't think it's underrated. In fact it's considered by many one of the best drummers in rock.
@@funkymonk5344 agree
@@funkymonk5344 he’s not overrated or underrated
My favorite drummer of all time. Never heard another sound or style like his.
Every time I listen to this I'm 15 again. Never thought all this gold would became past one day
I was there. Absolutely amazing.
I love how jimmy Chamberlain never over plays though he's certainly capable.
You're right Dario, he Is Just so talented and humble!!!
Another reason why I miss the 90's so much! 😪
he made me smile all the way through this !

And my freedom is successful and for sure other's
Corgan young strong joyful ,and at home with friends. Love this show and love Billy and his band. Outstanding!
Beautiful times, the nostalgia hits hard.
Billy looks so happy!
I think he was 26 here, visibly in his prime,
We had fun back then!
I love James Iha's part from 2:40 to 3:03
Too bad his guitar is mixed really low on this recording.
I love how much billy is into this performance he’s just jumping around and playing
For me, in 1993, this was the center of the universe.
Slip Stream Siamese Dream
This was Preformed on my birthday! Thanks Pumpkins.

this is fucking epic.. See kids this is how we used to do it.
strange thing....there is no volume sufficient for smashing pumpkins
True full volume isn’t enough
my goodness, this was a great performance
I grew up to this music. It was a magic time of innovation with every month bringing something awesome.

That opening riff is. So. Damn. Good.
Saw them on this tour in Dallas at The Bomb Factory. An era.
2:57 The greatest. So happy!!! Corgan felt triumphant in that moment.
James Iha coming in at 2:40 is like my favorite 5 seconds in music
He looks like he's having so much fun.
That ending sounds even more amazing live
D'arcy Wretzky, the best pumpkins bassist.
billy played almost all of her parts on the Album

Lucas G
Indeed he did, but D’Arcy has an amazing live sound. Definitely my favourite SP bassist.
Hmm, not the best bassist, but "the" bassist and best backing vocalist. Her murmerings down the mic are just right.
the only Pumpkins bassist
I started diving deeper in SP. I only knew today n cherub rock but I’m so happy I found rocket
This would have been one of the great concerts to be at
Look how much bloody fun that looks
3:51 Launching the rocket!
Happy 28th birthday to the best album ever made.
How is this not in Rolling Stones top 20 pumpkins songs?
Because it’s Rolling Stone.
I don't know which SP songs are considered the best by rolling stones but I know I named my Vespa 125 ET3 after this song in 1997...
That was a fantastic performance, just top to down great

Well Done Gang!!!
Please upload the rest of the songs! I absolutely LOVE this show, and your vids are the best quality!!
whyd Billy shave his hair off??
In 1995ish, you could see that he was losing hair, so he just shaved it all off
fnx333 I heard him say on an interview that he was pretty much rebelling
Colin Rogers I found the whole concert here on TH-cam. Did u find it? It's perfect!!
