Outstanding! Almost better than the studio version. Corgan is a musical genius and let us face it, just a straight up genius if you listen to his interviews over the years. Thank you for all that you have meant to me in my life guys.
@@user-dc1dr9kr8x agreed man she had a great sound and fit that role in those times quite well in my opinion. Glad to see others had the same thoughts as well.
2020..just discovered them last month when i found mellon collie.. at a pawn shop for 2 bucks. bought siamese dream a few weeks later and since then they have been the only band i'm listening to
@@exiago exactly the same except it's been a couple years now lmao. I've completely changed my guitar playing because of billy. First punk, now I'm into rock and psychedelic rock. Now I'm getting to know theory and jamming. Soon I'll be at a point in playing where Itll be impossible to play terribly.
fall 2020. been listening since 2006(16 years old) / had similar experiences in finding them and only listening to them/ it completely opening my mind to what guitar could be. love to you all. rock on. bless.
Could have been. I know they opened with Soma when they played Lollapalooza at Shoreline Amphitheater. But on this SF show, I pretty well remember Rocket being played first. That riff is unmistakable and a great way to start a show.
If there was one failing with the Pumpkins during the 90’s when they were in their prime, it was that Billy was never a naturally talented singer. He admits it himself - he was an incredibly talented guitar player and was naturally adept at the art of songwriting and arranging, but never really saw himself as a singer - it was more of requirement than a preference. He had bags of attitude and a unique, quirky style, but performing hard and fast in a live setting would typically push his vocal capabilities beyond their limits. This improved over time, but he was always a better singer in his acoustic performances, and I would say that’s still true even to today.
Yep, about 3 weeks. And about 6-7 weeks after my dad died right before my 11th birthday. This period of time haunts/paralyzes/captivates me beyond my control and understanding.
listened to a 2010 version....the sound team S**ked... ever since Gish...they push his vocals...and he's not a vocalist. Trim his gain...put a gate on his vocals... he doesn't have mic distance consistency... when he up to his mic gain is brutal.....gRrRR. 1994 they had him mic'd pretty good. his screeching doesn't help... they could have put a gate on his mic
@@dg321_ i don't automatically hate anything after that but it really should all have been called his solo stuff. him continuing to use the band name was extremely dishonest about both the current product and the Pumpkins. they were indeed a full band, everyone had input, not just Corgan, even if he was writing the songs.
@@georgial6398have you looked at the credits for pumpkins songs, it's pretty much been a solo project since siamese dream, save for a couple songs by james and jimmy.. fr tho just makes me respect corgan more because his brain came up with so much shit

D’Arcy was my 90’s crush
Aw, man, her and Gillian Anderson, who played Scully in "The X-Files".
As far as style and tasteful playing she is perfect in my opinion

I saw them in Lubbock about a month before this show. They were awesome! Loud as fuck!
