I'm from Australia, looking to possibly work in NY or London after I graduate. I know it seems very ambitious but I am wondering if there are some tips you can share with me to help me achieve my goals. The goal being finding work in London, specifically the investment banking sector
Oh dear, you did not have time to crack the strike-day codes! The Underground is usually on strike on different days to the national rail services so you could have returned to Chiswick Park (on top of a grocery store) up until midnight.. One can reach the District Line from Canary Wharf by DLR to Bank then walk to Monument by pedestrian tunnel,, by Jubilee Line to Westminster or by Elizabeth Line to Ealing Broadway and then back to Chiswick Park. There would be an extra 10 minute walk from Chiswick Park.
I appreciate it! At the time of this video I hadn’t navigated the city too much via public transportation, but you’re right, there certainly would have been plenty of options to return home. Thanks for watching!
@@Galbra1th haha nah im being for real right now 😅 It also says pm in the vid and you talk about the „last train“ and „evening GMAT session“. But is it actually common to get off that early? I applied for the off-cycle internship starting in Jan. :)
@fameeyys6879 haha yeah just messing with you. My team fortunately doesn’t work as crazy of hours as is standard, plus the summer months for us are traditionally a bit slower. So I was able to head out at a reasonable time on this day.
@@Galbra1th damn that sounds like a dream in IB! Thanks for the insights bro! Been following you since the KPMG vids and you motivate me to try the switch from Big 4 to banking! Who knows, maybe ill get the internship and we‘ll be collegues soon! 💪🏾
I hope you learn a lot about the situation in the UK and hopefully you could focus on better understanding of the future bigger projects. Cos after all, this is what secondments is all about. For anybody to hold on tight on issues like this, is harder and harder to find in years to come....
What's good bro, is there anyway to contact you to receive any sorts of advice, because I am planning to break into IB and it would be really helpful, thanks in advance!!!!
I was just visiting for a few weeks with my family. I’m back in NYC now, but would love to spend an extended time in London if the opportunity presented itself!
Downtown Chiswick? Very American. Lol. It's nice in some ways to see that you are living in a co-op space like most of our youngsters here in the UK etc.
@@Galbra1th nice, do you already have some schools in mind? Did my Gmat last year, wasn’t easy but reached 730. I heared, that the test will change next year. No more essay, and other questions
Definitely have set my goal for an M7. Congrats on the 730! Yes, the exam changes in Q4 of this year. That’s the version I plan to take. I actually have a video coming out soon that explains the changes.
hey, maybe i come find you outside and i wait for you out JP Morgan building and i will find you. And we can of course discuss the internship role you have. It’s always a madhouse at the canary wharf station after work between 5-7pm
Insane! Was just fortunate to make my train lol
Bro Americans make London look great, I love the American attitude and gratitude to life, Amazing video dude
I appreciate it!!
Top-notch work and quality content! I'm happy to see London getting some recognition.
Worked in both London and New York and love both places. Both places have affluent and noce areas. Just need to avoid the bad areas
Very true - thanks for the support!
Canary Wharf is my home and i grew up near there. Great to see it represented like this and hope London treated you well mate.
Thanks for watching!! Yes it treated me very well!
Another inspring video which makes you push limits. Thanks for this!!🔥🔥
Thanks for watching!! It’s these comments that make me even more motivated!🙏🏻📈
As a scotsman, love the irn bru drink choice!!!
Discovered it a few years ago on a trip to Scotland and it’s been my go to in the UK ever since!
Bro, don't put your feet on the seats on the trains. It marks you out as someone who hasn't been domesticated properly.
Agreed, it's very low class.
I’m sorry
Please make a video about the differences between london and new york investment banking
Great video London looks beautiful do you have a video on how one can get into investment banking
I have a view vids on the channel that discuss the application process!
You think it's ok to put your feet on the seats?
My B. Shoes were clean I promise
ok sergeant
I mean the video is great and all but mad respect for the Irn Bru hustle!

What Master's Programme are you planning to apply for? And will you stay in IB after Master's?
I’m most interested in an MBA. Not sure what I’d look to do after!
What are the differences of working in New York and London. Which one do you like better?
It’s a good question! Vibe definitely seems to be a bit more relaxed in London.. I’m actually planning on making a video about this soon!
@@Galbra1thstill waiting for this !
Never known an investment banker starting work at 9am. You should be halfway through the day at that time.
That’s because he isn’t one.

Bro u gotta make a video on how to exit big 4 in less than a year
Hmm that’s a valid question.. and even more relevant now in the wake of everything going on in the industry. I’ll see what I can do!
Come on, you’re earning enough to have a better coffee than starbucks
lol what’s wrong w Starbucks?? Especially in London this one cost like $8 lol
Do u want to do a master? Or why do u learn for gmat.
The goal is to go to business school a few years down the road. Will take the GMAT in a few months as the score lasts for 5 years.
