1:20 you can still clean rags and bandages if you have water in a container (like a bottle, pot...), so not being able to clean rags using a sink is probably just a bug
I noticed last night if you have a bottle of alcohol and dirty bandage it will give you an option of using "sterilized bandage" to cover a wound. No need for an extra step
The crawling animation is smooth is because it's an animation that's already in the game created by the devs for zombies to crawl under cars prior to B42. That's why if you look closely to the ending frame of the crawl where the guy stands up it's in an idle zombie stance.

The plumbing system (connecting rain collectors to sinks for infinite clean water) is currently broken, but there are mods that rollback that feature to the ones in build 41. I recommend getting it for those people who make bases in places without wells or near water.

I miss Lifestyle: Hobbies, it's absolutely gigantic but works 100% of the time, except the sadness moodle when looting dirty houses. Really adds another layer to survival. The developer, Angry, is very passionate about his mod.
I don't have any problems with the new moodles. They're less pixelated, so they're less like Build 40. Also, the old stress moodle with its head-in-hands pose really threw me off, because I could never see the color it was at.
There’s a couple of Gun Mods I use to add more variety (I’ve forgotten what one of them is called, I’ll edit my comment later when I found it), Noir’s Slings is one of them. Hopefully Guns of 93 returns as well.
for the moodles, instead of the bars i prefer quarter border for moodles bc visually its easier for me to know where the stat stands, i already used this one in b41 im not sure i could get used to an other way to do it
Also, generators should be carried like corpses are in my opinion, the only one I've handled IRL that is like the zomboid generators I had to drag by one hand, it did have wheels on the other side though
There is a mod that let's you create the old rain barrels from build 41 which will work with sinks, but it requires the garbage bags from a box, not the ones from trash cans.

yes, instead of immune. It's -85% panic, and high chance of nightmares. Not sure if nightmares was part of it before though. Brave does -70% panic and stress. Not sure how its calculated since you cant have both together unless you use the mod to earn it. If its additive then maybe we can become immune to panic, but it probably just replaces the trait.
most of the times you said "I dont get why this is not in vanilla" I thought because the game would be too damn easy. Mods usually break the game balance and even seeing info about what each trait does isn't what the game is meant to be. You're not supposed to optimize the fun out of it and mods like this are the softcore steps towards that goal.
I do agree, but the point of 'You're not supposed to optimize '... being a sandbox game, people can do whatever they want to enjoy the game, but yeah keeping them as mods so people have the choice to do so is best
I actually do think the cleaning rags thing is sadly intentional. If youve ever tried to get blood out of some clothing simply running it under the tap definitely wont suffice as you need to soak it. But also having to use a cooking pot is a little long winded. I think a good compromise would be a feature / mod that lets you fill up sinks
the thing is, they didn't make it more difficult, it just became less obvious and more inconvenient, you need a container filled with water that has at least 0.5 capacity around you and then you use this container to wash the rag, incredibly annoying when you have a single bottle and about 7-8 dirty rags and you gotta constantly right click to go through several menus to fill the bottle -> open crafting menu -> clean a rag -> repeat
Mixing bleach and water in a sink makes the most sense then rinsing them out after a short soak. It takes longer but it makes more sense and it can also be done with other cleaners.
If this is the case, it's another stupid way to add 'realism', which the devs clearly don't know much about. How is washing rags under running water impossible but using a 500ml bottle isn't? I also don't see the need for a dedicated filling up feature, just make it headcanon instead of adding even more tedium
SOme of the QoL mods seem okay, but most of these remove the realism. I agree that going through a window and dropping a bag is lame. Maybe the animations should be the bag drops on the outside of the window, as if you placed the bag out then followed it. A lot more realistic, then holding one or two bags in your hand as you squeeze out of a window. The mod to toss bags is a....toss up. But some what unrealistic, throwing anything of weight over a fence is extremely difficult. A weight limit would need to be ser and a failure chance. Just load a backpack with some weight, like 15-20 pounds and try to toss it over your head. The tall fences from the game could be 9-12 ft tall depending on how they are built and their function. Even climbing a tall fence with a backpack is difficult.Jumping is weird, are you going to Mario jump zombies in the wastelands? While weighted down too? Will probably install gen time, sink cleaned rags, cookable containers, and detailed descriptions. Mixed on any stat bar or moodle timers. That does make it more of a video game, but managing some of those things in real life is how the game portrays it. Health being the only stat bar is a good compromise but otherwise you would only know your hungry when you're hungry. You'd feel tired when you were actually tired, not knowing you have 27% energy left and 3 more walls to build. Video game the survival game more but you will lost the difficulty and realism the game markets itself for. Good video and thanks for the recommendations.

Most of these mods are full of bugs and jank as well, because they are just modders, not devs. Take a look at the averaged modded 3D model and texture and that's usually through the roof too.
It is a pz map, you can display the map with more detail by clicking the green looking square at the bottom of the map screen, itll swap between what you saw in the video and what you are used to. This is a default feature, no mods required.

I read somewhere that devs disabled that option just to introduce the new water system later... Weird.
You can clean them with soap.

A few of these were must haves for me for build 41. I haven’t bothered to look at build 42 mods yet, so I’m thrilled to see they’ve updated

Woodsmans' Pal's would be nifty to have for a weapon. They are like a cross between a machete, meat cleaver, and skinning hook. A very handy item.

Very true! Also in combination with the Climb mod. Throw it on the roof and climb up. Also useful in multiplayer in build 41. Glad you like it!

Was so exited for the basement expansion mod. Turns out the expanded part counts as "outdoors" and you can't build normal walls over the dirt walls 😂
So can you build farms in the basement and they get watered by the rain then? That could be super useful.

Its not a bug, plumbing isnt in the game as it is being reworked for the next half of b42
