She has accepted the pendant for what it was, a sincere gift that came from the heart. In fact we have also seen that even Glinda and the other witches of Oz have the same pendant. So there was really no trick.

If it's important it has to be explained and she had to know what she was agreeing to. Naturally Zelena was way too happy to be part of their sisterhood or whatever to even think about the downsides of the pendant and she only saw the good things and what she wanted. I'm not particularly mad about this pendant story, I just don't like Glinda here and I am more inclined to find faults in her for such things. Either ways, Zelena was better off without joining them, I think. She desperately wanted a family, to be loved and accepted so she thought that was the way but it wasn't. And helped the others defeat her in the end. She lost her power.
I wish they would have explored more of Oz and Zelenas relationship to the other witches! But that sounds to be more of a spin-off series but I would love to see her and the other witches again.

OneAndOnlySound actually I liked The new Alice. I never cared much for the ruby and Dorothy storyline, but to each their own. What I would’ve had happen Is a slower reveal of each of the eight witches in the coven, and after the scene where Alice turns Gothal into a tree Instead of the wish realm storyline, I would’ve had it revealed that Gothal’s spell unleashed Chernabog (needless to say I wouldn’t have introduced him in season four). Anyway to defeat Chernabog we would need the Oz coven, but assembled differently. Glenda would symbolize wisdom, Regina this time symbolizing love, And in a twist it is revealed Zelena was never meant to take the seat of innocence, the seat was destined for Alice, and Zelena was meant for the seat of courage (Having possessed the courage to change). Their combined power would return rumple’s dagger back into the holy Grail (Ending the dark one curse), And Henry having the heart of the truest believer drinks from the cup to acquire the power necessary to kill Chernabog. The epilogue would reveal that the realm without magic (Which ones rejected Gothal and the rest of her kind) now started to see magic resurgent. As such the coven of Oz led the world into a golden age everyone got their happy ending And right before it fades to credits on the screen it writes in cursive, and they all the happily ever after.

Both Regina and Zelena only wanted to be loved. This is one instance where I wholeheartedly agree with the phrase "It's all the mother's fault." Cora's the real reason her daughters became Evil and Wicked. Got a bit off topic. I liked Zelena.
I never liked her character. I love Rebecca Mader, she's an incredible actress and she made Zelena really complex and evil (sorry, wicked) but I'll never forgive her for what she did to Rumple in season 3b and for killing Neal. Also she turned good too fast! I mean, she's being a villan for all season 3B and season 4B. Even for some part of season 5. She deserved more time for change. That's just my opinion, don't hate.

This said: the other witches DID seem VERY QUICK to change their mind when they thought Dorothy and not Zelena was part of the foretelling from the Book of Records. It was careless of them and like Blue Fairy lead to a lot more harm than good. LUCKILY Zelena got her shit together.... at the end of the series.

All she had to do was be kind and supportive to Dorothy. Be the person she wanted to find, the person who would give the love, compassion and guidance she wanted from a family. Rise above the envy she felt. But she didn't. Maybe she couldn't. Maybe she wasn't ready to. A sad tale of a missed chance either way.
This would have been better had the Good witches story been that she once harbored evil in her heart but she chose to try and be a better person say it was hard, every step of the way she stumbled a lot, but poerhaps tell Zelena that she is not as far gone as she was that Zelena can be good...and they will be there to help her
Think if she knew what Regina's life was like she'd have envied her? Strange when you think about it. Zelena's adoptive mother loved her (the impression I got) but her adoptive father refused to see her as anything but 'wicked'. Regina's actual mother only ever saw her as a means to get what she wanted but her father loved her. Zelena really should be envying Regina over her father - since her own was a louse and when you think about it is basically responsible for half of the suffering in this show or at least nearly half the villain arcs in this show.

Also one of the four witches is probably dead, Im assuming some sort of power struggle with Zelena being the victor as they would outnumber Glenda 2 to 1, before then since there is only Glenda and Zelena left.

Zelena 2nd happy ending of 6 she rejected cause it wasn't Regina's to steal. She was given sisters by her side. Land to rule. People to protect and later dorathy who she should of related to and mentor. Dorothy was innocent which means she fall under Zelena area to protect and mentor. Instead she got paranoid of being replaced and Instead of preparing for the great evil (possibly a wiched witch of the east from another oz) she became the great evil she believed she was.
