The shadow man earlier has implied that she was special, but he could well have just been talking platitudes. Otherwise she's probably possessed or tainted etc. Going to have to listen again and see if I missed any little clues. We could just be reading too much into a cheeky ending of course. There has to be something about the eyes, too. Did the daughter start with green eyes?
