That's a great memory I remember the first drive in movie I went to was The Goonies and it was so foggy we could barely see the movie after 45 min haha. Gotta love the weather changes in the PNW.
I love that Dudes, Bad Boys and Easy Money made it. American Ninja 2 is my favorite of the series and seemed to be the most 80’s themed. I think you should do a series on 1987 movies, considering there are so many good ones, in my opinion. You could do it by the month it was released and do a 12 part series.
Thanks for watching dude! I have actually be working on ideas for yearly break downs of the 80s and 90s. So something close to that should be coming soon!
It's been a fun ride and enjoying the shout outs to these awesome 80s classics streets of fire I really enjoy that one excellent soundtrack to easy money is classic Rodney Dangerfield and Joe Pesci are fantastic in this movie blue thunder is an excellent action classic and to me has an amazing dogfight that is the movies highlight
Easy Money was one on those movies that was such a Gem with a great cast and absolutely hysterical. As a teenager then. How could you not love “The Regular Guy Look!” lol
Thanks a lot for these videos my guy, you are the real gem! So many memories and your brief overview of the movies is well done! Keep up the good work.

I wanted to add about Bad Boys. The facility that was used for quite a few shots of the Juvenile Corrections Center is located in St. Charles Illinois and is still up and running in 2024. It still has all the same buildings and the same fenced area where they would run in the mornings. It’s an amazing film and the Clancy Brown pillow/ pop scene is worth the price right there!! Thank you for reviewing the true 80’s Gem!
I love when you mention film I love that no one else seems to have heard of. Bad Boys is one that my movie hating old man actually loves and mentions to people a lot.
NOOOOOOOoo, please don't stop these! Really enjoyed them and have even discovered some hidden gems. Love Tightrope, it's one that's never talked about and was way better than City Heat which was out around the same time. I did watch Tough Guys with Kirk Douglas, not seen it for years and really enjoyed it.
Tightrope, Streets of Fire and American Ninja are my 3 favorites on this list. I wish the series would continue. This is one of the few TH-cam channels I actually like and being an 80's movie fan, I'm sad this is coming to an end
Thanks so much Angel! I'll definitely be coming back to more 80s movies sooner than later. I think I'm going to dive into some actor top-10 lists, and some forgotten 90s movies then come back to work on 80s again. Maybe focusing on genres, specific years and stuff like that. Thanks again for the kind words! Means a lot!
Thank you so much Karen I appreciate that! Yeah the studios can be a little tricky when using clips. I had to edit and render this video 4x to get it through. Streets of Fire and Easy Money were the other sections I had to edit to get through the filter. But they locked King Solomon's Mines down. Thanks for watching!
I loved king Solomon’s mines then they did the lost city of gold shortly after and that was great too. James earl jones wielding that big axe. Sharron Stone was a dime back then. I’m telling you I love what you do here. Brings me back to my childhood. I wish there was a Time Machine cuz I’d go back in a heartbeat. The world was a much simpler place.
Thanks a ton PainTrain I appreciate the kind support it means a lot! I'd take a ride in that Delorean back in time with you. I'd love to see all these classics in the theater again!
Another movie that deserves a mention is Raw Deal starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as a sheriff who goes undercover to in infiltrate the mob as a favor for a friend to help him get revenge for his son's death. Also, I can't forget to applaud Robert Davi as his performance was amazing and sinister in this classic
5:52 The dude with the beard punching Daniel Roebuck is Lee Ving [Lead singer for the punk band "Fear"] who also played in the 80s movie "Streets of Fire"
Red Scorpion is a Russian version of Rambo, this version of Clash of the Titans was better than the updated version; it reminds me of "the seven voyages of Sinbad", "Dudes" is a good and underrated movie especially having "Jon Cryer" after is performance in "pretty in pink". "Streets of fire" another great movie With the hit single "I can dream about you" and "Easy Money" Rodney Dangerfield shows that he deserves respect in this almost national lampoon's type comedy, and I totally agree with you that "Joe Pesci" supporting role opened the door for him too show what is now a great career of movie roles. "Bad Boys" is another good movie that shows an actors potential (Sean Pen) is well fitted for this role. Bad Boys is a great movie. I think is forgotten because the title. People usually think of the Will Smith and Martin Lawrence ones. In the final fight has an editing mistake. You see the Camera man for a few seconds inside all the boys around Sean Penn and Esai Morales
I agree I think the title is a bit to connected to the new franchise for sure. I never noticed the cameraman in the shot, great eye! Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
Red Scorpion In the movie Nikolai played by Dolph Lundgren is shown lifting a car after thinking of the best way to do it. From what the movie shows in the scene it appears that really was done by Dolph which would be a very impressive physical strength feat because a car is over 900 pounds, also it’s in the it’s not a cakewalk task.
Man I haven't seen Tightrope in so long. I bet people flipping through the channels would get it confused as a Dirty Harry sequel which it easily could have been. Now I kind of want to buy it to see it again. Clash of the Titans is still awesome to this day. I always kind of liked the Indiana Jones knockoffs whether it was Alan Quartermane or Firewalker at least they were something different. Blue Thunder kind of seemed like a TV movie then Roy Schnieder kind of elevates the movie itself. Very well done for movie effects at the time. Bad Boys likely would never be made today pretty dark gritty and real. They would butcher it make it transgender or something silly.

I actually prefer American Ninja 2 but that’s just me. Parts 3 and on are all trash. And in case anyone is wondering, a lot of these movies are on TUBI. I’ve seen them on there. I almost watched Easy Money a few days ago.
I see you've included a few from my list on your previous video! Blue Thunder is one of my all time favorite movies. It’s so good, Roy Schieder is so underrated.
100% the practical stunt work was surprisingly well done and Schieder always delivers that cool character so it's a great pairing.
No! I don’t want this series to be over! The first time I saw Clash of the Titans was at a drive in movie theater when it first came out.

Has anyone ever told you that you kinda look like the guy on king Solomon’s mines?
Haha that would be a first!
I actually prefer American Ninja 2 but that’s just me. Parts 3 and on are all trash.
And in case anyone is wondering, a lot of these movies are on TUBI. I’ve seen them on there. I almost watched Easy Money a few days ago.
I agree AN2 was the superior flick! Easy Money is a fun watch, I wish Dangerfield and Pesci had gotten another film or two in together.
I see you've included a few from my list on your previous video! How about these rare gems Miracle Mile, Time Bandits, Angels Of Passion, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Biloxi Blues, The Hunger, Manhunter, Birdy (1984) The Mosquito Coast, Redheat, Johnny Handsome, Firestarter, Enemy Mine, Top Secret, Southern Comfort, RepoMan, Street Smart and Blue City.🎥🎟💎🎬
Great pics, I love Enemy Mine and Top Secret! Thanks for watching!
Time Bandits jus got a remake*
