Hello Dr Dray! Ulta had a system issue, i didnt experience it but i did see they posted about it on facebook. A lot of people also had the same issue you had. 😁😁
I think these things are intentional to create a scarcity tactic
One of the channel's I follow commented on issues with trying to order from the Ulta 21 days and the comments section had similar stories. Lots of annoyed/unhappy folks.
I have learned so much from you and you have given me the tools to be more educated and make informed decisions about skin care for my mature skin. I have alot of damage control to cover the sins of a carefree life in the sun. These shopping trips to the drugstore have saved me so much money where disposable income is precious these days. Hopefully the niacinamide in my lipikar ap+m balm and whatever little antioxidants in my sunscreen (vitamin e typically, sometimes centella asiatica, green tea, tumeric too) is enough for me. I would like to buy a seperate antioxidant but just a good moisturizer, sunscreen, and adapalene can be expensive at this economy.

I used to be so gungho on ascorbic acid but I’m perfectly content now with just using my finacea in the morning, and niacinamide in my moisturizers. If anything, I saw a drastic improvement in my skin texture and pigmentation. Maybe I’ll fork out the cash again for SkinCeuticals and use it regularly when I’m older or notice a lot of photo damaged.
the surgeon asked me if i was on blood thinners, i said no but i do take vitamin E, he said that didnt matter at all !!!! anyway i didnt bleed out so this was true

Is there a difference between Ascorbic Acid and L-Ascorbic Acid?
I purchased the eucerin coq10 moisturizer on Amazon and my skin was very irritated by it. I double checked and it did not contain any of my skin allergies. In the future I will definitely buy new skincare products in person instead of online.
Pacifica as a serum with melatonin, its called Wake Up Beautiful Retinoid Serum. Have not tried it.

For people with city water, have you ever invested in a shower head to negate chlorine exposure? I believe they employ vit c to "neutralize" chlorine. Curious to know if anyone's noticed a difference in their skin. My skin used to be super dry when restricted to city water.
I have used these for years. They're awesome. I do notice a difference. My skin feels softer & my hair feels cleaner.
At least drinking water filters use activated carbon to remove chlorine, and I know the shower filter I tried contained carbon (because it was visible).
I wonder if shower filters can remain effective very long because water drinking filters usually last for 40-60 gallons, and an average US shower uses 2.1 gallons per minute so I suspect filter showers lose efficacy fast but I haven't looked for studies.

That's how we always role Doctor Andrea with hope and faith that these skincare products containing these ingredients might actually yield and show some tangible benefits for our skin. If they are actually deliver these benefits remains to be seen. I think it does count that neutrogena intense repair cica balm has oat kernel extract so it is antioxidant like right ? But overall i liked the video about antioxidants, the ingredients that have antioxidant properties and of course how they work. Doctor Andrea you are amazing 😊❤.

Love the top, so pretty!! I don’t shop for skincare at Walgreens since it’s not in my budget. I do like using antioxidant serums, I rotate between Minimalist, The Ordinary, as well as NIOD which I recently ran out of. 👀☺️

It was super cool hearing you talk about the Aveeno Colloidal Oats. Because a couple years ago I had the idea to mix a little bit with some warm water to make my own "face serum" and was really happy with the results. I wasn't aware if this "was a thing" so it was cool to hear you validate something I randomly tried a long time ago lol. It's really nice. It almost feels like snail mucin once you mix it with water.
It tends to get a little clumpy so I mixed mine with a mortar and pestle. Then applied as a serum. Then, the last step I mixed a little bit of the oat mixture with my moisturizer and applied that last. Good for barrier repair :)

I’ve never heard of that brand before but I got up early and ordered one after I saw you talking about it! 😅 sorrryyy 😬 I like applying it but it gets a little sticky after an hour or so. My experience with contacting an Ulta representative during the sale was very frustrating, I waited on hold multiple times for 20-30 minutes and then as soon as a representative answered it would disconnect my call😖
I hope Costco sells some good products with antioxidants. Wow, the price on some of these products is high. Does it really cost that much to make, or is it because it's the new and greatest? Walgreens and CVS normally are higher priced, in my opinion. Especially for the retired people's income. 😢❤
I did successfully order the Beekman Midnight Milk, however perhaps it was only because I stayed up late the night before, thinking the sale items changed at midnight -- nope!! When it still didn't switch over at 2am Eastern time (Massachusetts) I noticed the fine print at the bottom of the sale page. Can't remember if it finally changed at 3am Eastern or was it Central time because I was delirious! -- deliriously determined.

Gosh I'm pretty late watching this video as well but sometimes I have time to get caught up with some. The Aveeno colloidal oatmeal I'm happy to hear that it can be used on my face or sort of as a spot treatment I guess because I absolutely hated in the bathtub I like the way it feels but it is messy in the bathtub

Vitamin C is a more unstable formulation than coenzyme Q10. So not only is it difficult to find effective formulations, but the actual product degrades or expires quickly
She's got plenty of vit c videos explaining why she chooses not to use them not to mention videos on q10 and even one video comparing vit c and q10 serums.
So do you think sunless tanners are a good thing then? Which ones would you recommend? Thanks 😊
She's fine with sunless tanners (better than getting a real or using a tanning bed). She's recommended a couple (vita liberata invis foaming tan water; m-61 hydraboost body butter gradual tan [unscented]), but shereene idriss and sam ellis actually use them and have videos talking about favorites.

Coenzyme Q10 is a good antioxidant. You can find it and Eucerin day cream or also timeless coenzyme Q10 serum
Niacinamide is supposed to be good for acne-prone skin. And though not everyone is sure whether or not the inactive forms of vit c work, SAP is the one that tends to be recommended for acne prone skin.

I have yet to find a body product with antioxidants, Vitamin C, Ubiquinol.
Tried nivea. It was not only absolutely disgusting, but it wasn't moisturizing at all. The dark blue "intensive" tube is mostly alcohol, and all of those products smell absolutely disgusting

She has a video on vit c where she mentions skin ceuticals as the one that did the clinical testing to prove it does get in the skin with their patented formula. Search her playlist for vit c and hopefully you will find the video.
She and pretty much every other dermatology channel recommend the skinceuticals as the gold standard.
No bs beauty compares geek & gorgeous to ce ferulic. I’ve never used either so I can’t comment either way

Help! I have been generally applying and religiously using sunscreen this summer. Now my car is stained - inside and out! And my son is not happy that I stained his passenger seat last time I drove with him. I use various sport brands and Coppertone Complete. This happen to anyone else?

Hello Dr Dray, i would need some help, if you'd be so kind. I know you are very knowledgeable and perhaps you have an idea about what's wrong.
3 years ago i used Epiduo and the portions of my face where i applied turned red. It stayed like that, but instead of coming back to normal, now those patches are brown. Somehow Epiduo gave me hyperpigmentation.
I went to a doctor, she wouldn't listen to me. Dismissed Epiduo as the culprit, blamed hormones and diagnosed it as melasma. I had NO hyperpigmentation before Epiduo. This doctor tried BBL and 30 microns ablative laser, but the hyperpigmentation didn't go away. It stayes the same. During BBL, it was expected to get coffee grain-like spots, but it didn't happen.

I bought the solawave and rl cologne during the ulta sale turned out that they told me they shipped the product and the days passed on and never got it well they said that they found that my order package had a hazardous liquid and had to return the package to the seller? I thought they were the seller 🤷♀️ and it has happened multiple times during sales where ulta doesn’t let me buy the product it cames as an “error” when i submit the purchase and their customer service is none existent 😢
