  • On this week’s Going Global,
    we look at the success stories of Korean immigrants in Argentina. Known as Little Europe and having an open door policy for immigrants, Argentina began accepting immigrants from Asia only 20 years ago, though Koreans had set foot there much earlier. Koreans established themselves in the foreign land with their characteristic sincerity and hard work. Having overcome cultural differences and other difficulties, Koreans celebrate their 50 years in Argentina.

    Yes, I remember. I'm one of those first immigrant to arrive in Buenos Aires by boat names Luis, the 21st boat arriving Argentina. I remember how friendly Argentinians were. I live in L.A., and I consider Argentina "Segunda Patria", and would love to go back and visit before I die. I was 10 years old, and now I'm 63.
