Nice observations on a nice night ride. The only thing I don't like about my Spyder at night, the switches on the handlebars are not all backlit, which they corrected on the 2024 models. Cheers!
I got rid of all the reflectors on my 2022 RTL to lights & installed a bar light in the lower front grill, certainly stands out & no need to use high beams ! Not that I drive at night that much. But I was pleasantly surprised how good the headlights are ! Just installing extra rear lights on the top box , so there will be no excuses that folks can’t see me! Ride safe regards Stephen Alberta Canada.
Great video, I am going to take a class to get my license for a 3 wheel. After years of wanting a Can Am Spyder RT Limited, I have decided to buy one. Like most people, I have a lot of questions. The lighting was one of those questions.
Very nice night view, the camera did a great job. I hope you do the iron butt. I've only done it once, and it was on my Spyder. My tip, start as early as you can. My initial fillup was 4:00 AM on the nose, and I finished my 1,029 miles at 10:15 PM. I got lucky with the weather, a beautiful sunny day in the upper 70s. An iron butt on the Spyder is quite enjoyable 😁👍👍
@@RideBlessed Solo, or riding with a buddy, the key is having the ride well planned out ahead of time, including the planned pace and the exact planned fuel stops. Gas stations aren't an issue for most of the day, but not all are open 24 hours. Look them all up beforehand while planning your ride. There's plenty of good videos to get tips and advice to plan your iron butt ride. 😁👍
Yes, good visibity...but the deer don't care lol...somehow we get caught at night at times...I'm not scared either because TommyG is very good at spotting the wildlife.
I’m on the other side of the state in STL, ride safe, maybe our paths cross on I-70, I ride a Spyder F3 LTD, I turned those reflectors on the fenders into lights for better visibility at night
I saw a sling mod for the mirrors but to me they were not much bigger than what came with the Spyder. I am thinking of getting something that offers a bigger view and does not cost 75 for a peel and stick mod.
Nice video 😎 The Spyder has great lighting with the LED lighting. I added the LED headlights and fog lights to my 17RTL and it made a huge difference. I live in SE Missouri myself and like to ryde at night also. Don’t like all the bugs though. 😂 Ryde safe and God Bless Artie
Haven’t had a chance to ride a Spyder yet, but look forward to at sometime. One observation about deer. Drove truck for thirty years, don’t believe the old saw about only seeing deer at dusk and dawn. I’ve hit them at every time of the day or night.
Great! I have a married couple in my bike chapter who live in Butler. If you are interested in riding sometime, go to my channel info and grab my email address and contact me. Ride blessed Larry West.
Whats that thing like on a highway going 75mph.im thinking about getting one.im at that age where i know i need to not be on my bike.but still want the travel of a bike thru the country.
I really enjoy it. I am the same way, I like to ride the countryside. I rank it right up there with other bikes I have ridden that really enjoy that speed. Goldwing, valkrie interstate, harley trike even though its rpms are a bit high at that speed, the spyder rt limited feels just as good and more comfortable too. Best bet is to test ride one see how it feels for you. Ride safe.
@@RideBlessed Yes, I know lol. I was just curious. Because the F3 Limited , the special edition one, doesn't come with LEDs. Although I think it does in the 2024 version. My 2018 F3 Limited has a lot of extra lights on it and the fender ones Wayne decided to add after he followed me all the way to Montana and noticed how visible they were!
That's why I joined the American Legion to go on long rides. Be safe, Eagle Eye out.

Yes good point! Ride safe
Amen, we are super to always look out for each other ❤
Thanks for taking us on the night ride, I enjoyed it.

There's some really good Spyder channels you can subscribe to, and hopefully get many of those questions answered! Have fun and ride safe.
Looks like it lights up the road pretty good!!
I'm gonna do a coast to coast on my 2024 Spyder RTL this summer. After a few upgrades.
Let me know if coming by the kansas city area!
Small town living is awesome.
Great content! Closing in on 600! Woo hoo!
I really love my Auxiliary light. I think Spyder Wayne has a video on this. I ride in the dark frequently to and from work.

Great tip that's what I was thinking too. Would be nice to find someone to do it with, to help support each other and keep each other awake LOL

Sounds like you have a nice group!
OK! When are you going to do the Iron Butt? You can do it!!

Yep, ride safe neighbor!
I live in Louisburg KS and go to Harrisonville often.
Great! I used to live in olathe and grew up in spring hill. Know that area and hillsdake lake area well. Ride safe
@Tryke_Ryder I forgot to ask what you ride. We will have to figure out how to do a ride together.
My only complaint about my 2024 Sea to Sky when I ride is the tiny side mirrors. They don’t have the field of view that I had on my last bike.
Yep agree with that

Did you upgrade to LED's or did the RT come with them?
Came with them. Lots more you can add though. I think Spyder Wayne has some videos on LEDs he has done
