    I just purchase a new Sea to Sky. My wife purchased a new Spyder LT last year. I put over 1000 mi on hers and It has been my. observation the bikes are built like tanks and extremely comfortable once you learn to relax and let the bike do its thing. The Rotax engines are built in Austria. I believe Rotax engines are also used in ultralight aircraft. The motorcycle club I belong to has a number of long term Spyder owners- they are all highly complimentary of the bikes and highly recommend them. That's why I purchased one after 57 years of riding motorcycles.

      Congrats on the new purchases! Yes once I relaxed on it, relaxed my grip, and let it do its thing, it is very comfortable and handles great. I am thinking about a new sway bar but will see. Ride safe.

      I have a 2016 Can-Am Spyder RTS SE6. The Spyder color is Orbital Blue. The ride is awesome and love riding. I'm a Blue Knight with tge Blue Knights International M/C. Oh your Spyder is saying give be a bath LOL 😂 You have a beautiful Spyder. Safe riding, always wear your gear and watch out for cagers, but most of all enjoy the ride. GDoc

    Anyone trying to make hard turns and curves, you just lean your upper body into the curve and put all your weight on the opposite side foot. The RT doesn't do it quite as good, but the F3 if you learn how to do it, you don't have to slow down for anything, besides popping a wheel off the ground a bit, and can lose all the bikes in the twisties. They are really fun trikes.

    • @RideBlessed

      I hear a better sway bar makes it feel better, or at least different, but I agree even stock it's amazing what you can do in curves once you are comfortable with your ride. Ride safe.

    Two months away from 64 y o and I went last weekend to look at Spyder RT; first bike ever. Because of a medical condition, I thought the regulations might be different for two in front. We shall see. I can't believe how at home I felt sitting on this bike at the dealership. Thanks for this video! It makes me more eager, if that's possible.

    I sold my last motorcycle over 10 years ago, then my wife and I got into long range self-contained bicycle touring. I have bicycled from Portland OR to San Diego 3 times (1,700 miles) since I retired. I am now 76 years old. I never thought I would ever own a motorcycle again ... but watching this video is causing me to reconsider. Now my wife and I are thinking about a Can Am Spider RT to travel across the US. This video is so well done to explain so many things that I would want to know about riding the Can Am Spider. Thanks

    I own a 2024 Sea to Sky. I love it. The Marine Corps made sure that I was not physically capable of riding two wheels any longer. The Spyder is far more stable and comfort than my Intruder. I can now ride all day without pain. The Can Am is worth the money. I never have rode two up. I didn’t want the responsibility. My wife wants to go with me and enjoys the ride. I’m hoping that she will want one for herself.

I'm feeling the urge to get on the road and feel alive again basically. Great to see your video and I appreciate your candor and descriptions of how you ride.
    I have switched and I'm so happy I did ! I traded a 100th Anniv. Road King and bought a 2015 Tri Glide 2 years ago due to minor balance issues. Just sold it and bought a one owner 2018 F3 Limited. It is great and fun to ride, unlike the Tri Glide which always seemed like a chore to ride. Even as you mentioned, the front was always heavy to turn and the reverse was sometimes a pain, especially if you needed to reverse uphill, even a little. My wife bought a 2017 F3 Limited right after I bought the Tri Glide, and she really loves riding it. We also have an adult daughter that has Cerebral Palsy and what she bought had passenger armrests and driver backrest so we put our daughter on it and she loves riding with us. It also has a trailer hitch so we found a used trailer from a guy that sold his Gold Wing and we bought it and I wired the lights. We can put her wheelchair in the trailer, along with lots of luggage and go anywhere as a family.
    Anyways, I took hers in for a sprocket recall service a month ago, (most 2015-2019 need this recall done) at which time I had a chance to really ride it and I decided right there I was selling my Tri Glide. I do miss the rumble but that's all I really miss.
    Thanks again for your video and keep the rubber side down !

    • @RideBlessed
      @RideBlessed  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So great to hear your story. I hope your daughter loves getting out there despite having Cerebral Palsy. We have such similar stories. I had a Ultra Classic, then stopped riding for a while, then the 2015 Tri-Glide, and now the 2020 Spyder RT Limited. My wife won't ever want her own bike, but I like having her riding with me anyway so all good. I really want to get a trailer too, and have someone trying to sell me one. But I need to budget the trailer, and the hitch kit, and doing the wiring if easy. Enjoy your riding time, and ride safe!

      @@SpyderChrisYT yes valid concern when spending this much money. Harley has that reputation for sure but I never had any major problems across the 2 Harleys I had. For spyders, I haven't seen any particular common issues that I recall. Well, at least on the RT, the mirrors really shake in the wind but that's minor. I recommend hitting sites/forums like SpyderLovers.com and ask questions there. Ride safe.

    I had a Slingshot that i loved untill i had knee and back issues. Never riden a motorcycle orher than being passenger. My husband took it upon his self to trade the SS fir a 2023 HD Freewheeler. Beautiful trike but i can't get used to clutching and shifting gears constantly. Needless to say i hate it. We went to look at Cam am spyder and i fell in love with it and felt so comfortable on it. As soon as we sell the trike i will be owning a spyder . Being a 72 yo Nana i feel so lucky to be so active and wanting to get on the road. Thank you for such an informative video.

      Update!!! I purchased my 1st CamAm Spyder 2 weeks ago . I feel so liberated. I named her Matilda Blue (Tilly ). So far I have put 200 miles (mainly back roads)on her getting used to all the functions. My sweet husband has riden on the back with me and is enjoying being a passenger ☺️. Not once has he been a backseat driver. He has a 2023 RoadKing and said we can plan our weekend road trips now. I never in my wildest dreams thought that at 72 , I would be riding a bike and loving it. I tell people your never to old to try new things , just get out of your rocking chair and do it. Enjoy life and don't let the old man in as the late Toby Keith sings about. Ride, live, love, and laugh.

    You asked for questions so here it is.
    What are the weaknesses in the bike? Meaning what was your experience in what breaks first.
    I realize its a machine and all machines wear out but some things are weaker than others.

    • @RideBlessed
      @RideBlessed  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In my experience, what breaks first are the shocks for the seat and for the rear storage trunk. They are fairly easy to do yourself, but they do seem to go out quickly. Other than that, I've had no issues at all and don't remember any specific reports of issues people are having. Just keep it maintained, and keep tires on it, and ride safe!

    What is the longevity of these things, like how many miles are the engines capable of 300,000 - 400,000, an have you ever pulled a trailer with it, how does it handle with a trailer? I like your channel an this video will definitely subscribe

    • @RideBlessed
      @RideBlessed  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question @RideWithJayy. In the research I did when looking at all the options, I was impressed with the Rotax engines. They are used for ATVS, spyders, and even airplanes. One forum I saw said should last 12 years or more. Another said they are very smart and fuel efficient. ATV folks said at some point they may have to have timing chain work, but I only ever saw that on ATV-related posts.

    I have a question about the Spyders sort of low ground clearance...Do you ever smack your radiator going over, say speed bumps or over a dip? I had a new gen VW beetle a few years back, that the previous owner had put some low profile racing wheels on. At one store in particular i frequented, no matter how I tried to make the turn, Id bottom out and it hit the radiator every time. (Bottom out as in just hitting the bottom of the radiator, it seemed to hang down quite low) The low hanging radiators on the Rykers and Spyders make me think of it every time I see them. I have been looking quite closely at getting a Spyder but we have horrible roads, lots of dips and speed bumps, potholes, etc...Just curious of your thoughts?

    • @RideBlessed
      @RideBlessed  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question! No, I haven't had any problems with low ground clearance so far. Ironically, I DID actually rub the exhaust a few times when I had the Tri-Glide. I was going to put a lift kit in partially for more comfort and better handling but also for the additional clearance. But no I haven't had those issues on the Spyder yet.
      Can anyone else weigh in on this? Any experiences you have had?

    I seen some reviews on the Spyder that they were high maintenance to keep running . Quite a few issues with some of them , especially the
    2013 Spyder. I was thinking of buying one , but now I'm on the fence . After paying big money for one , you don't want to keep spending lots of money to repair them. You would think that they would have quality workmanship .

    • @RideBlessed
      @RideBlessed  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I did a lot of research before moving from Trike to Spyder. Like you, I also wanted to understand maintenance costs and history. I can't say I know much about models older than 2020. I hit the youtube channels, read the big Spyder online forums, and did what I could to be as informed as possible. In the end I was convinced it was a good move for me. I think I'll have to end up replacing the rear tire more often than on the Trike, but even that will depend on riding frequency and style.
      If you haven't already, start asking questions out in places like SpyderLovers.com. Great place to get just about any Spyder related question answered.
      Best of luck to you @edwardwiebe8080 !

    HI I live in St. Louis, MO. I Bought a 2023 Spyder F3 LTD. For my birthday which is in 2 weeks. I passed MO motorcycle permit test. Have been a little frustrated. Took basic 3 wheel course at big st charles motorsports, ride coach wasnt very helpful. Passed written exam. Failed with frustration my driving test even though it was at night time, hard to see. I have been teaching myself to ride. Dealer wont let me retake, so probably do dmv. Hard being my first time on any motorcycle. Secondly not easy teaching myself to ride, however been on the freeway, rode through rain. I am looking for someone to show me the ropes, i watched you tube videos to learn.

      Best of luck to you, Kenneth. Wear your safety gear. Practice in parking lots and city streets where things are slower. Get to know your F3. Practice stopping fast. If you haven't already, consider going out to msf-usa.org and looking at their material and videos. Have fun and ride safe!

    How do people deal with riding the syder rt in snow and ice? Or is that possible?

    • @RideBlessed
      @RideBlessed  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question. Personally, I haven't ridden much in snow and ice. But I would venture to guess that a Spyder would do better in snow and ice than most other options to be honest. Front wheel stability, large contact surfaces, power assisted steering, ABS, auto-adjusted air suspension... I would think that would all give you more control in snow and ice situations than other options.

    I’ve owned a RTL four years now. Went from a Goldwing which I loved, but because of knee replacements and wanting to ride with my wife we had to change. Love the Spyder. I’ll give you a 👍🏻 on the video content. But you get 👎🏻👎🏻 for the appearance of the Spyder!! Man you need to clean that before you do a video.

  • @Lboogie90
    @Lboogie90 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    So when you start slowing down do you hit the break and start easing off the throttle?

    • @RideBlessed
      @RideBlessed  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can ease up on the throttle and you'll start slowing down. As you slow, the Spyder will down-shift for you when appropriate. Or, you can let off the throttle completely and use the brake as lightly or strongly as the situation dictates. Again, the Spyder will down-shift for you as appropriate. Do you have a Spyder? Are you riding already? Ride safe.

    • @Lboogie90

      @@RideBlessed I bought one it’s still at the place I’m getting my break peddle adjusted but I will have to pick it up I had a Harley but I traded it in for the three I didn’t drive the Harley … I was thinking as soon as I took my hand off the throttle it would stop like a two wheel

    • @RideBlessed
      @RideBlessed  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Lboogie90 yes the throttle works just like a motorcycle, and brake pedal too. You just dont have to use a brake lever as the pedal applies brakes to all wheels. If you can ride a motorcycle you will pick it up quickly
