I am an IUS student. I would love to be involved in this program with Dr. Hallberg somehow. I really am excited about what this program is accomplishing.
My mom died at 50 from a sudden cardiovascular event after losing lots of weight and controlling her T2 diabetes with loads of insulin. My dad died at 50 from bile duct cancer after attempting many dietary changes after being told that his weight was the only health issue. I feel like your work is helping people who are in their very same, common position. I believe you are putting lives back on track and making positive changes in medicine. I know for sure my dad would have been fascinated by the ketogenic diet and been compliant. I remember how diligent he was with Atkins.
Excited for all your patients. Thank you for your work.

I had horrible trouble sleeping, I had nerve pain shooting down my legs at night. Prior to starting Keto in May, I was taking a complex B-100 supplement, but it really didn't seem to help it much, maybe it kept it from getting work. By the end of July, I realized the pain had gone away. I know this does not mean it would work for other people, but it did for me.

Very Interesting.. I am excited to start the program.
When I found the blog post on Alcohol use, I was disappointed that the links for the recipes go to "page not found." Can this be fixed.?

    Dr. Hallberg:
As part of your Year 2 study report, I would really like to see a supporting graph. I am a firm believer in the "set point" or "settling point" theory, even before people may achieve their goal "referent weight." In your study primarily focused on T2D and not specifically weight loss, I think that these graphs (e.g. Dr. Volek's presentations) would be most useful as perhaps an ad libitum diet study.
However, rather than simply weight, I'd like to see BMI or preferably BF level or BF% graphed over time by sex. I have seen and read lots of testimonials from keto dieters over the years, and it appears to me that there tends to be some pretty common settling points in terms of BMI and BF%.
The "Personal Fat Threshold" theory is mentioned often in social media, and correlating your T2D markers against these other results would be fascinating and useful for many.

Dr Hallberg in your Ted Talk you advised no carbs and now you are advising restrictive carbs. Can I ask why the change?

...been on low carb @35g per day for about a year, still have a small paunch, but mostly in good condition. I want to have a status check. Does Virta have a process for this?
