I do marketing and advertising and I get subcontracted by big companies like yours to come up with great ideas so I recognize smart ones when I see them. Well done again!
It's designed to be stream line through the air but stay on the ground. A plane is designed to be stream line through the air but not stay on the ground so yes your right. Driving a formula 1 has always been a dream of mine. Thanks for sharing your experience. A friend of mine a few years ago had gotten a hold of a 1966 GT40 painted with the beautiful Gulf livery. He offered to take me for a ride. Believe me when he hit the gas, I felt the g-force push me into the seat, I heard that V8 open up and the sound filled the cabin, my mind, soul and spirit knew I was in a GT40 and a sense of everything I ever knew and thought about racing was renewed and confirmed, that this is the most exciting sport in the world.
James, I am so happy for you. You looked like a Natural! No stalling, no spinning just smooth and controlled. I am brought back to the Top Gear episode where Hammond got to drive basically this cars older brother. He had so much trouble with that, obviously they had to make it look dramatic but still. Thank you for sharing the experience!
Scott Bot, not sure what that has to do with this. He is certainly NOT driving a 200hp Formula Renault. He may have driven one of those in the workup to the full F1 car. I think it is plain to see that what he is taking part in would cost significantly more than £3000.
I think Hammond's car had more power, but either way he was actually driving it at or near the limit, while James was safely driving far from the limit, understandably so. It's much easier to be in control when you're well under the limit and braking super early.
It's definitely de-tuned. You can hear it on the back straight at the limiter. There's no way it would be speed peaking at that point. It sounds like they've taken the whole 6 and 7 gears and those power bands out of it.
Good on ya mate! I watched you build this channel from Day 1. You’ve taken this channel to the highest of places in the automotive world. I wonder what’s next. That must of been a truly terrifyingly beautiful experience. You deserve it.

Whenever I see these types of videos I always think two things: 1) How insane F1 drivers are in braking zones 2) How hard it is to wrap your head around the actual cornering capabilities due to the levels of downforce. Cool video. I bet you were having a blast. The power delivery must be mental. Funny how you're flipping out after and the engineers all look like "yeah yeah...business as usual." LOL

Wow James...next level everything 👍 These two films have been great and really bought us along on your journey. Most impressed you pulled away without the Anti-Stall kicking in 😎 Once again raising the bar for us lesser mortal TH-camrs to aim for...BRAVO 👌
These things are on their own! If you're in a super fast sports car you brake for a corner. Often in these you keep your foot flat. If you slow down you'll have no grip. Trusting the downforce takes a huge leap in trust and understanding.
Your a very very....very lucky man. I totally understand the emotions of driving a car of that caliber, Nothing will ever top that experience. Nothing.
Congratulations on an unforgettable event, an impressive check off the "bucket list", and what appeared a decent rookie pace in the normally-aspirated rocket. May I suggest U2's "Beautiful Day" for this occasion's Highlight Reel. Great job, thanks for taking me on the ride. Dreams really are the stuff that days are made of.
MrJWW seems to be a natural for the F1. From my experience, many first-timers have a hard time even getting out of the pits because you have to give the car just the right amount of gas so it doesn't stall on you. Once they're underway, they may spin out on the track at least once. Regardless of how many super cars you've driven, the F1 is a different ball of wax, like a very capricious woman.
Just what I needed after this day to make it a bit better. Formula video + listening to the music I like (Delta Parole, Metallica and other) make me feel the speed and excitement!

Did you try to really push it at one point ?
When F1 sounded like it should have...awesome video as always
Yep, now we have Dyson vacuum F1
??? The car in this video is only two years old, they largely use the same engines / systems
@@GalastinThis a 2012 Renault car. They still had v8s at this time.
For whoever says the v6 engines sound bad, just go at a track and hear the cars in real life, they still sound great, maybe not as good but still sound great
No the v10s were the best
It was not even me but I was so emotional! Sooo happy for you!!!
He felt so amazed even he didn't drove too fast, those cars must be fuccin powerful af
Just watched this man do something that I long for. Nice one. Bet that was the most epic experience. Wow
I know it’s late to comment but... you sound like a 10 year old boy...and you know what... that’s fantastic! Absolutely amazing experience I bet, very jealous and the ultimate dream. A one of a kind machine which can produce results and effects only some other machines can match (fighter jets, moto gp bikes etc) but what a day your reaction shows that immediately when you stopped and got out of the car. 10 year old boy reaction - as above absolutely fantastic !
You did really well bud!! I'm impressed :)
What an awesome experience that must have been for you James. Well done and thanks for taking us with you!
The smile on your face after that drive, raised my spirits to the rafters, lol.
Thanks for sharing that life changing time.
You must be an expert driver, very well done.
You did really well, I felt your emotion. The absolute pinnacle for millions of people!
Was great to see your reaction and totally understand where it's coming from. I can imagine what a thrill that would be.
Dude one of the best vids Ive ever seen you really have captured the true emotion of that moment! I was sort of nervous with/for you!
You and Sam best youtubers out here keep 'em coming!
+Rakloro 😄👍🏻
Can't beat that sound! Love it!
I know how this man feels. My first time at Daytona speedway on my Superbike I felt the same way. It was incredible!! It actually brings these unexplainable tears to your eyes.
Wow James...next level everything 👍 These two films have been great and really bought us along on your journey. Most impressed you pulled away without the Anti-Stall kicking in 😎 Once again raising the bar for us lesser mortal TH-camrs to aim for...BRAVO 👌
Fantastic video James!! To see you appreciate it that much made it great to watch. Keep up the great content 👍👍😀
And yet us lesser mortal TH-camrs somehow understand why James is squeeling like a little girl. Totally justified.
Once I drove a fast car, I could never go back. Changes you. Love it.
Nothing.
It was great watching you get so excited. Congratulations.
The part where the F1 went past as you said "To know you sound like that" really got me in the feels. Thanks for sharing the experience man :)
James I'd love to know how it compares to the sim you tried?? How close can I get?
"The last of the V8s..."
Flashes back to Mad Max LOL
It's a V10
I love your enthusiasm! That had to be incredible.
Love to see the amount of excitement and adrenaline :)
my god , Mr JWW , that is bloody amazing to drive one of the ultimate race cars. One of my dreams
This is so cool that you had the opportunity to drive a F1 car! Happy for you man! Amazingly cool!
Your face at 7:14 says it all, again seems like no words can describe it but the smile on your face! So stoked for you!
Really Brilliant to see you so emotional, dreams do come true!
